Hi there, just came across this video. Don’t know you but I am so very much rooting for you! My grandfather was a mean drunk. Beat on my grandma and would be gone 2 or 3 days before coming home again. My mom was the oldest of his 6 kids. By the time my aunts and uncles grew up, none of them wanted anything to do with him. He died a sad lonely old man. I really wished I had knew a different grandfather and how different things would have been if he wasn’t a drunk. You are young and have so much to look forward to, you really do. We are our worst critics though. People see us differently than we see ourselves. Please don’t be hard on yourself but be resolute in being your best self. I admire your honesty. Every day is a new day. Keep doing what you’ve been doing. I don’t enjoy drinking, since seeing my alcoholic brother used to always fight with me. He died at 65. I’m 65 now. I still smoke weed, with a 3/4 mason jar full left. My goal is to use it up, then quit. Wish me luck!!!

Love your channel, this video really hit home for me, fishing is the only healthy addiction I have. If you ask me catching a 5lb bass is a better high than any substance can provide. Stay strong and keep fishing.

90 days sober today. 50 years old. 20 years wasted. Hang in there. I sympathize with the anxiety attacks mate. Would not wish them on my worst enemy. Next time, try to remember they are just fear of fear. Try and imagine you are standing next to yourself and observing how you are reacting. Helps anchor you. Will probably subside now you have packed everything in. YoYoing brain chemistry like a see saw def didn't help with them. I used to get them far about a decade in my 20s to 30s. Drove to A&E, laying on the floor praying not to die right now, the whole lot.... Been there mate. Using alcohol to self treat anxiety is like trying to get out of debt using payday loans. It might work for a night but it will come back worse. Best stay away. It will get better and it will get easier. Good luck.

Thy this is incredibly strong of you. Your experiences, while painful, are incredibly valuable as it has really given you perspective to see what you want out of life and what you've had enough of. Just know the future is bright for you and that we have your back

I just want to say that I’ve struggled with these same issues and unfortunately I still struggle. I haven’t relapsed with coke, and I hope I never do, but the struggle hasn’t ended for me. I’m happy for you and I hope you keep fighting. You seem like an awesome dude and I want to keep seeing your content, so don’t go anywhere! I’m actually hoping to start making camping, fishing and off roading content when I can get my Toyota LandCruiser ready for the trails (which might take a while). I have an addiction to substances and alcohol too. I fought to get off the hard drugs and the needle. Now I drink and smoke weed at night to relax and sleep. Going back to that shit never changes, usually you end up right where you left off. But seeing the world and experiencing the real joys of this earth is different every time and is fulfilling. You know the truth, and you got control of your destiny now that you got the answer.

Glenn, from Stealth Camping Adventures, who removed his channel, admitted he drank a lot. He had a great channel, and seemed to have quit, during his adventures. I hope he didn’t hit the bottle again, that made him remove his channel. Statistically, young people don’t drink as mush as they used to.

I just found your channel when I watched your stealth camping in a Home Depot Shed video. I watched a couple more of your videos and then subscribed. I found this video and it made me like your videos even more. You are awesome for being willing to put yourself out there and be vulnerable. We have all been addicted to something. Just found this video….but have been watching you recently. I have loved watching your stealth outings fall apart and genuinely laughed. I am much older….and am close to 24 years sober. Much respect to you for this video…you are light years ahead of where you think you are. Let go of your regret for what you think you wasted. None of it is a waste as it it brought you to this place.
