It’s really hard to communicate in other european countries If you don’t speak the language and I’ve been to a few European countries. It’s the same thing and every country

Hey girl ! As a French girl I can tell you and all of strangers who want to go to France, Paris is not the beautifulest place to go . Im from the sounth of France and im proud cuz this is very beautiful : in Nice , Marseille Toulon etc we have beautiful sea , a lot of traditionnal restaurant w product from our region , very great collins w big natural parks.. and they don't have these in Paris :0 but it's the most historical city in France and Parisian ( as I always heard ) they have bad reputation cuz of they are """ not agreable, not smiling """ ( I don't insult the parisian , I think it's a cliché but so 😂) In resume , Paris is not the only reference of France when you go to travel ! ( omg my comment sound rude sorry )

Hi! You wanting to help people speaks of your character and it's great! It's sad that everyone cannot be this way. I live in Miami, FL and many people here speak Spanish; therefore, many of the recent immigrants refuse to learn English and they obtain jobs which require giving customer service and some of them just shake their heads and walk away from you when you ask them a question. It's ridiculous. Granted we do not declare a national language in the states but the common language is English. I do not travel to another country with a national language different from English and expect everyone to understand me but at the end of the day, if you cannot speak the language and someone is in need the best thing to do is to try to help or find someone that can help. 💞

Just a bit of information , I was born in Cape Town ,South Africa , an English native speaker . I live in Vienna Austria , for many years . I have seen and experienced some changes regarding English . I 'm an English teacher too , teach junior school children , who are really keen and interested in English . There is such a demand for English teachers , I could work around the clock . Therefore the future generation are going to be better eauiped to face the challenges of a globalised world .

Well its weird Im French american living in France and most people I know between 18 and 40 speak English ... I think you have cross path with the wrong people ... . but it is true that the old movie before the 2000 are voice over in frenh, but you have an option on the tv to put the english original version voice over and subtitle ......^^Most new tv-show can be seen in english nowaday !!! well Have a bless day !

Ohh really? I went to France 5 times. 3 times in Paris, different occasions (I went to Afropunk twice and also once to Natural hair academy event). Also I went to a fashion show somewhere else, I forgot the city (completely different people). Not one could help us with directions. The same thing with the events. Also the securities or the people working at the event, barely spoke English. Same thing on the train station. 🤣🤣 so I don’t know where the English speaking people at, but I couldn’t find any. I didn’t told the story about my uber driver; where I had to explain to him for 15 minutes that I was at the Mc Donalds at Grand du nord 😩. Next time I should film my experience

Kicking the French because they don't speak English. LOL! They are very much into their "own" language, I believe much more than any other country. And of course the Dutch people's French is "lousy". :-p ;) ;) ;) Coming from a Belgian viewer (of course we know French as half our country is French speaking).

Ahaha True!!! The funny thing is, in high school you have to choose between German and French (Dutch & English are languages you get if you like it or not). But a lot of people choose German instead of French, because German is close to Dutch and easy to learn for us. Hahah that’s why our French is basically non existent

@@SamanthaPollack I think I got French at age 10/11 (5e leerjaar/5th grade) and then English in Middle School and then I had German on top of that. A lot of attention goes to languages in Belgium. When I went to "Hogeschool", I majored in 5 languages: Dutch, French, English, German and Spanish. But I think more Dutch people understand English than Belgian people do. I have seen people *struggle* here! No offense! LOL! ;)

wouah, i cannot beleive that you hate some countries because they do not speak your langage? as a french woman i might start to hate a lot of countries! this is that kind of comment that reinforce the unwillingness of french people of making any effort.

In the video I explained myself. I said ‘I love France, one of my favorite countries to visit, but what I hate about France is that they don’t speak English’. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Where do you hear me saying that I hate the country? Secondly English is not “my language”. It’s not even my mother’s/father’s language. Not even my second language. It’s my third language. English is the most popular official language of the world, so yes that’s the language I choose to communicate in if I’m in a country where I don’t speak the language. So no I don’t go to a country and expect people to speak “my language” otherwise I would go and speak Dutch, but I choose the most populair language ‘English’.

Samantha Pollack the name of your video is why I hate European countries? As an American who learned French I didn’t have a problem with Parisians helping me. Actually I found that when I started speaking my broken French they would actually answer back in English. It was only when I was outside of Paris that less people spoke English. I enjoy your hair videos but this one 🤷🏽‍♀️
