Please don't take this as a gripe, but your channel has honestly become a part of my daily life. For years, everyone else I was following posted once a week, maybe occasionally twice. But you have always posted 5 or 6 times a week and since I really like your content, I MISS YOU SO MUCH when you dont post. So today it was so grand to to open your video and find that all is ok. You know how your mind can conjure up all sorts of terrible scenarios when you start to worry. How nice it was watching you use your equipment, repairing the trailer tire and proving again how great the investment was to buy and own your equipment. So much money has been saved and best of all, your back has been saved! I hope to see Tank and Archie play together some day. I'm hoping Hannah will bring him for a visit one day, I think that will bring a lot of big smiles. Mike, I'm so glad all is well and absolutely enjoyed your video today, thank you my friend! Hope to see y'all tomorrow. 👍🚜❤🇺🇸🇺🇸

State College? I used to travel there on business. I loved the fall colors as long as the company didn’t book me on a college weekend. If it was a college football weekend, you might have to commute about 75-100 miles due to all the people coming to the games. Haha. Beautiful country side. I grew up in northern Minnesota and didn’t realize how much I miss the fall colors. Texas does have a little color and can be nice, but the brilliant colors of the northern trees are something to behold. Oh, don’t worry about the tempo of releasing videos. I enjoy them whenever I get a chance to view them. You would think, me, a retired guy, would have all the time in the world. Actually I had more time whenI was working or so it feels like. Thanks for another video, all the best!

Morning Morgans! I was just waiting for that truck to start sliding. What a setup, then dump, no slide. Good work, Mike! Just did a trip to Ely, MN and back from Northern VA, so lots of windshield time, and you are right - I had forgotten how much the road just saps the strength out of you and puts you to sleep.

Always grins watching the ballet of you orchestrating ANY job with any of your equipment. You make it look so smooth and easy you have me convinced even I could do it!! Very VERY smooth Mike. As I have said many times, like an extension of YOUR brain and limbs!! Beautiful to watch. The opening road time of this one had me worried. The road, the fog, the traffic, gave me a VERY high pucker factor. (too many youtube crash videos) I may need some sphincter salve here, I bit some button holes in my chair at that one intersection. BUTT, you navigated it safely. Blessings to you and yours. Thanks for taking me along Mike.

To keep the tow vehicle wheels from sliding while dumping on an incline, you can also chock the wheels of the dump trailer. Lots of wheel chocks available (triangular firewood pieces) at the Morgan place 😉

Good morning Mike and the rest of the families. Great video getting the front yard leveled for easier ride while mowing. Looks real good. Glad you got your running over with and hope you don't have to make so many trips so close together, they are hard on the body after you've been away from them for so long. Tell Hunter hello from all of us, miss seeing his smiles and the devilish laugh that he does so well. Stay safe and keep up the good work and fun around there. Fred.

The front tire on the trailer will sit up what ever you run over and the rear tire will catch it before is falls down. Most of the time it seems you will always have a flat on the rear axle of a trailer. Mike thanks for another great video. I always enjoy watching Outdoors With The Morgans.

Hi Mike; & Melissa Just wanted to say how much I enjoy watching your masterful manoeuvring of the various machines. You inspired me to get a small tractor with a loader 3 years ago & I have been getting better at handling it. Will enjoy seeing the inside of the building when you get closer to being finished. Also, as an old guy recovering from nerve damage then subsequent back surgery, I am trying to rebuild my arm & leg strength, I would like to see more of Melissa's workout techniques on her channel. So sorry to hear about Ruger. Bill from West Coast Canada

As I am sure you know Mike, but many may not, any time you are loading or unloading a trailer on a slope it is ALWAYS best to chock the FRONT TIRES of your tow vehicle and the tires on the trailer to prevent the trailer taking off when the rear of the truck is lifted.

Mike, we are on the same road in life, almost. I’m not retired but doing a lot of what you are. But with that being said, since you’re driving a half ton a bunch you might want to look into those Diamond back tonneaus. They are super heavy duty and I’ve strapped a ton of stuff on top of mine. They are made in Phillipsburg PA. It has been a valuable tool for my short bed truck.
@NCSUME1

So nice to have great tools to get stuff done efficiently and enjoyably. FYI; if you shift into 4x4 before you shift to park, the front wheels will hold you if the rear lift...

Put your transfer case in 4wd when loading/unloading trailer and set your parking brake. That locks your front tires with the parking brake and will keep your truck from moving, even if the rear wheels get light.

Wish I could find a supplier for tongue and groove like that in my area. I need to build a sliding barn door for my shop, but I can't find anything like that around...so I may end up just finding some 1x6 boards and running them through my shaper and making my own tongue and groove. I need 10 foot boards, I guess I could probably go down to 8 foot I'd just have to reframe the opening. I think I need like just over 7 feet of height for the BX roll bar to make it...may have to do some remeasuring and find what I can get in 8 foot lengths, which whatever I do I'll have to make the tongue and groove myself as I can't find anything around. Its much easier just to go to the hardware store when you need tools Mike, you really don't need to run over them, its hard on the tires LOL. I had a pretty large wheel weight go through a tire on my pickup a few years ago...an 8 ply tire, and wheel weight went right through it....destroyed the tire of course, still had about 1/2 the usable tread left, but ended up with a new set of tires at $1400....I end up getting nails or screws in tires all the time it seems, luckily most of the time its just a patch job. I need to get new tires put on my Explorer this year, just keep putting it off as long as possible since tire prices have skyrocketed. The tread is fine, but if we have a bad winter I'd rather have better tires, they're worn down, but if it were summer they'd be fine, winter not so much, not quite to the wear bars yet, but getting there and just not sure what I should put on it, I just know I need something a bit heavier than what's on it now since I do some occasional towing. I know when I put the heavier tires on my truck, it helped a lot for towing stability, so I may go that route with the Explorer as well....plus it looks like it needs an alignment, got a bit more inside tire wear up front...oh well, I'll get it sorted out soon....just seems like there's never enough time to get everything done. Was supposed to have 4 days off last week, didn't happen, had 1 day off, and spent all of that working on a trailer demo on a property, and got it cleared off, and hauled off. It was my first time ever running an excavator and a skid steer....man I now understand why you love your toys...err tools...umm equipment. Made very quick work out of that job, just wish I had the time off I was supposed to have so I could have gotten everything else done that I had the equipment rented for. $2700 in equipment including the semi-truck/trailer to haul stuff on. Made it quick and easy, but man ate a lot of money on that rental because I only had 1 day to use it all and didn't get even 1/4 of the stuff done I needed to get done. Next time I guess I'll just not show up for work because I ain't paying that kind of money on equipment rental to not use it as intended.

Mine I’ve been driving like you most of my adult life trying to maintain the property and everything that comes along with it. Living in rural Wv it’s a long ways frok everything. I think the reason it’s so tiring is because of the mental drain. We have to keep our heads on a swivel and I think it’s just mentally exhausting when you are trying to be safe. I don’t worry so much aboit me. I am more worried about the others around me. Invest in some 14 or 16 ply tires on your trailers. You not only gain the thicker tread. It’s the sidewalls that make the most improvement. It’s unbelievable. Try them sbd you’ll Thank me.

That is an interesting hack for an alternate way to jack your trailer tire up in the back. Pricey Allen wrench. Years ago my uncle got one that still baffles us. 7/16 box wrench in his tire... Box end first. Talk about a 1 in a million shot to push that rounded end right through the tire instead of just shooting it out.

@@OutdoorsWithTheMorgans, and TJ, Years ago the Tire and Wheel group did a hi speed camera study of tires and objects. They found the the front tires pick the object up and actually “shoot” it back at the trailing tire. You would think the box end would have just bounced off at any speed however.

There just is no end to your talent old boy that looks awesome. I see you picked up some more of that nice white pine from my home state of New Hampshire cool 😎 👌.

I found if you put your truck in four wheel drive when you load or unload heavy trailers it will usually stay in place and won't slide on you. I hope this helps you out.

Mike if you find yourself in a situation where the truck and trailer might roll pull the brake away bake controller and it will lock the trailer brakes then put the pull away back in after you finish dumping.

Mike, make sure you have the fresh air setting on in your cab. Recirc will wipe you out cuz your not getting enuf fresh air in you. Just in case you haven't been paying attn to it.

Mike, what made you think anybody was wondering why you haven't uploaded a video in a few days? Maybe the hundred or thousand emails and facebook messages. Glad the family is all doing good, my fear was something happened. I've seen and heard of alot of things in tires you'd never think of. That new excavator rake attachment would have been perfect to clean up after those trees. Please say hi to Hunter for me. Glad to have you back.

Nice work in the yard Mike. Ya I had a scammer hit me yesterday morning with your RU-vid picture. It had a bunch of strange characters after the picture, I didn't open it or anything, although it did catch me by surprise, lol.
