After many years of celebrating the diaspora and interviewing prominent diasporans, we have decided to set up the Diaspora Transition. The Diaspora Transition Network is a membership-based network for African Diasporans and returnees of various heritage currently residing in Ghana. This network will be a community for information sharing, skills exchange, cultural awareness, and a space for doing and discussing business. The Network will consist of quarterly meetings and social events to build a community of like-minded professionals. To be part of this initiative,

Yasmin Afrifa is the co-founder & chief executive officer of Kleenit Ghana Limited. She has about 5 years of experience working as a pension analyst & insurance analyst in the Uk before transitioning to Ghana to start her business.
Yasmin was born in the Uk and raised in the Uk until her family moved to Ghana for a few years before relocating back to London. She studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Bradford and holds both a bachelor’s & master's in Chemical Engineering. After university, she got employed at Fidelity Investments where she worked as a pension analyst for about 2 years before joining AIG as an insurance analyst/underwriter.
In 2018, she got married in Ghana and decided she wanted to move to Ghana. Her excitement to move to Ghana was even more fueled after attending the annual TDT organized by Guba in 2019 & she was inspired more than ever this was the right decision for her after listening to a few people talk about their move to Ghana. She prepared to move & finally relocated to Ghana in August 2019.
Before relocating, she got an offer with a bank in Ghana so she knew she had a backup plan but she got to Ghana communicated stalled with the bank. Yasmin decided to start her own business and she looked at what she enjoyed and how she could add value to it. Since she enjoyed cleaning & with the support of family & friends, she decided to start a cleaning company called Kleenit Ghana Limited in September.
Kleenit provides both residential & commercial cleaning & fumigation services. Some of our top clientele include Palace Mall, Vertex Properties & Interior, Ghana Wildlife, Ghana Armed Forces, Cedar Mountain Chapel, just to name a few. We currently have 35 employees who work for the organization in the space of almost 2 years.
Yasmin is a big fan of music(particularly Sarkodie & Kidi) and she enjoys learning to constantly improve herself.
SHE SAID 'If I had followed what most people said about my decision to relocate to Ghana, I would have stayed in the Uk & perhaps not be a blessing to my 20 employees that I have now.. Discover what you are good at & allow God to use you to be a blessing to your company, employer, employees, etc. One day I will share my story and hopefully encourage someone out there just as @dentaa_show did in my life. Let’s learn to always seek God’s direction in everything we do. Even though friends & family may have your best interest at heart, their advice may not be the best for you in that situation.

With Ghana especially, living in the Western world. Some Individuals don't take responsibility. Yasmine may have to intensify in-service training. Better Prepare mindset ready and willing to take on responsibility. May Almighty God be with you. Thanks for sharing

Finding out what to do and how to do it is a big challenge for many. The fear of the unknown is another. But being able to take a risk does not come so easy to many of us. All the changes in Africa are business opportunities waiting to be taken. Africa is on the move, it feels good to be part of building the foundation of something new.

Ghanaian some don't respect laws and regulations Is important all employees and employers making sure is implemented Also Accountability Responsibility Management Maintenance I Simply think most do not understand and have to be thought with in the work environment Information is knowledge Also individual must understand we're one get their daily bread 🍞 must be respected Abusing one's position taking advantage because the company manager or owner is not around is not right After going to Church praying that things are not right wasting , time-consuming Therefore praying yes But do the right thing Corrupted Management are taking advantage of their position asking for money before easy activities in the office Country????????????????????? Going up and down????????????????? Change of Management is very important in Companies building Keep up the good work thanks Your Program is helpful to others Education Education Education TV Channel 📺🖥📺🖥📺🖥📺 in all languages for Ghanaian to understand Government projects Policy in all communities Villages and Towns

Don’t Do it It! There are local people who called themselves “land guards” they can seize ur house or land and the authorities came do anything about it. Basically there are no rules and laws. They did that to a friend and family
@nellsawere
@nellsawere 2 года назад
Lol, you mean to say the 29million people are living under land guard rule? Stay wherever you are please. Lol
@sixpacks4real
@sixpacks4real 2 года назад
@@nellsawere it doesn’t have to be all 29 million people. If some parts of Ghana land guards are able to seize lands and houses without anyone or authorities doing anything about it, how’s that safe ? I thought equal rights was a thing
@nellsawere
@nellsawere 2 года назад
@@sixpacks4real I guess it’s a case of opportunity cost. If one looks to build a million dollar business by being in Ghana, I guess they have the mind power to overcome the small stuff. As an ambitious real estate developer, if land issues stop me, lol, I guess I’m in the wrong business. Good luck.

I am disappointed at her route. Learnt Chemical Engineering busted those skills. Became an Analyst learning other skills may be big data, phyton, spart, tableau. Pity her years of learning and core competent skills NOT transferable to Ghana. Sorry, she blew herself UP, became unproductive blamed it on work life balance. Now a Cleaning Company Boss exploiting poorly educated Ghanaians on low wages. NOT my cup of Tetley Tea.
