We CA students are forced to think that we can only reach heights by completing CA. There are many ppl in the market who reach good heights without CA.

Getting an admission in Columbia University... I would leave CA too... Most of us are middle class, and if we leave CA we have to stay just like our parents, in an average home with bcom level salaries, that's why we try to complete it even in multiple attempts.

Hello sir .. I am a 26 year old girl leaving CA after clearing my ipcc and entering CA final. I scored 91 percent in my twelfth and was a good student all through school. My father is a CA and almost every child in my family and extended family is currently doing CA and i have the same story as prakhar. I am yet to figure out what to do next in life but i can honestly say i am glad i left CA even though at this juncture. I was totally burntout by the end of it and lost both my health and happiness. I have peace now even though not a degree. It killed my confidence in myself and studying and learning became my enemy which is something i used to live for in school. I sincerely thank you for making this video. It has given me so much hope that yes i can rebuild my life again and it is not too late and that i am not good for nothing like i felt in the course. I appreciate you for being such an honest teacher.

I appeared for CA finals 5 times and failed miserably however, i clealerd CPT and IPCC in first attempt... i decided i would leave CA if i wouldn't qualify in the 5th attempt and started a basic job in a mediocre CA firm in Dehradun and after 4 months working there I got an oppurtuanity in Woodstock School Mussoorie in the finance department. Its been 2 years now and I have not looked back... don't cling because we tend to miss a lot of other oppurtuanities as we are unable to see what is going on around us.

I think Prakhar is aldready from a well off family plus he got admission in a reputed university in Columbia.But middle class people who are not creative in any other fields have no option but to try their luck in courses like CA so that they can live a life out of mediocrity.And then maybe their next generation will ne able to quit CA like Prakhar did due to lack of passion.

I lost my life of 9 long years spending for this unworthy Course which gave me nothing but pressure, health issues, hair loss, demotivation, low self esteem,etc., Searching for better career opportunities. If any suggestions pls comment, I would be helpful.

Sir this stream gave us lot of insights, but about that fraud thing, I want to say that I too work in one of top 20 firms and I never noticed anything related to fraud. Audit done here is of very good quality, and the firm is never hesitant to give qualified opinion incase there is issue. So there are definitely good things too. The system isn't that bad that it will ruin us, good and bad people are everywhere in everything and most importantly in same proportion. If you pick 10 random persons and count the good ones, the % will be same as you find good CAs in a normal firm. Being good or bad is upon us, not the system, if we aren't good we will find excuses to become bad and when we find suitable system for it, we will blame system for our justification. This whole thing is not just for CA, it's for everything in life. Take any profession, same is everywhere.

I want to ask you a question ? can you please think it as a perspective of middle class family background point of view scenario is like this, someone is pursuing CA and belongs to middle class family background and taking multiple attempts in ca course and he thinks he is not made for CA and want to choose another career etc. But on the on the other side he took many attempt and also there is a financial problems. My question is here. Sir, how he can go ahead? how he takes decision ?which factors he should consider while taking such decision ? in the other side age problems and financial problems. Sir how somebody came out of such a scenario just like trap .Thank you sir .

There comes a point in life where you feel, I am bloody done with this course ! To hell with it ! What Prakhar has pointed out is very crucial while joining CA, make sure that you take guidance of a person who's neutral and who can tell you both the beauty as well as it's horror stories that follow you throughout the journey of becoming a CA. To those people who say it's difficult to pursue courses that charge high fees, have you heard the word " open source" information, there are crazy people who share their knowledge for free in the internet so that the knowledge hungry people can grab and make the most of it ! Don't give these excuses of depending on parents for money and stuff like that, there are success stories everywhere. All it takes for you is to have a PLAN B, if not CA then WHAT ? Have that clarity and then join this course, else you're doomed if you cannot clear it by the age of 25-26 !

It was a good conversation overall. Made a lot of sense in many points. It will continue to make sense in the years to come. The biggest takeaway was that you do not have to see as a sign of losing that you have dropped out of CA course. Stop seeing quiting as losing. You can still be great and successful in your professional life. There are no limits one can achieve. Nowadays,I see many CA partly qualified candidates who have successfully cleared all papers of ACCA, and I hope to do the same. I am pursuing ACCA now. Best of luck to you all.

Sirrrrrrrrr 1000000000 % truth we need to change mentality ....... The time I used to decide if not in this attempt i will change my side ( will not say will quit) and Everytime I used to get pass result ..... This was the case in IPCC ..... Now m preparing for finals .... Still I have that approach but m still preparing bcz due to some reasons in frst 2 attempts I wasn't satisfied with my studies also I had prepared only for 1 grp ..... Now m giving my 3rd attempt and yes this time I m satisfied with my efforts .... But situations are going worst .... But yesss by God's grace I continued my learning in Classical dance Kathak and completed my masters ... And I have something in front of me if I switch from CA .... But sir there r thousands of students who r just focusing on CA and keeping their every hobby or passion aside ..... And if they dnt clear ..... Unko corona se bhi bhayankar ROG lgta he depression ka ..... ..... Thank u so much sir ....... We being youngsters need to change this mentality .... So that atleast coming generations will not suffer ..... M thankful to my parents as well bcz they never forced me .... Whenever I used to got confused they used to tell me we dnt bother at all... Prakhar is 100% correct.... Institute does not justify with students. ICAI should change its way of taking Exam.

The fact that you are cut off from the world while doing CA makes me hate this course even more. Now some CA fans will come and say ki ab jitni mehnat karoge badme fayda hai. I know this..but when you look at other professions they have a social life as well. They also earn decent enough or sometimes even more than a CA. Mixing with people aand networking also plays a major role in our lives. You cannot learn skills by putting your head into books.

*What are some dirty things of CA course* ? *While this course makes people successful but nobody cares about the people who fail. This course has ruined much more careers than it made* . *Several hard working and more knowledgeable candidates are unable to get selected because of the luck factor and uncertainty of the marking pattern . I know a few friends who took 4-5 attempts but couldn't make it to the final list* . *People usually think that candidates clearing CA are super intelligent, super smart, polished and ethical human beings. In reality, this is not the truth. Good marks in ethics paper don't correlate with your ethics in life. What we write in answer sheet is not what we usually do* . *This exam makes people over ambitious in life particularly successful candidates* .

Sir I'm pursuing both CA & CFA and I can surely say that there is a hell lot of difference between both, I already know today that when and where I would be sitting for my MAY'21 exams but I don't know about my CA exam today that where is my examination centre and whether is it going to happen or not😂😂.

He is not middle class like majority of people... All don't have Financial privilege like he have... So everyone should decide on seeing his own condition.... don't believe what he said completely before looking ur Financial condition

Prakhar, you need to understand this not all students are privileged and pampered enough to go outside and join Columbia alike universities. We have very limited resources. If we leave then we will come back to all square one where our parents started i.e, to settle down with our parents and share same responsibilities and duties what our parents have been doing over the years. And this is not what our parents and family wanted us to do. Humans are meant to be evolved generation by generation and not moved backwards.

I belong to lower middle class family, and I find CA a break through to this. CA is a course where there is no qouta, only your hardwork and intelligence. If I belong to rich family, I would have become politician or model or businessman but this is not the situation in my case Hence CA. I am determined to become financial healthy and CA is my route. Crux. : Everybody has different backgrounds and different ambition. Or ager apne dekha dekhi me CA join kiya hai...to ye bnda bilkul sahi bol raha hai....duniya me bhot kuch hai krne ko to become financial healthy.
