What is lifestyle like in Antarctica? I think Johnny’s experience is based on work/life balance.

Very good advice, Jonny, particularly for young people. I realised from a young age that GB was too small for me, so I tried my luck in Germany long before Brexit. When I returned to the UK, I had no idea that BREXIT would come about. BREXIT is one of the worst things to happen to me in my whole life!! I could easily have gained German/UK dual nationality while I was living there. Unfortunately, as I'm resident in the UK, this is no longer possible, so I'm having to count days like hell in order to stay as long as possible in mainland Europe. What a pity that young Brits no longer have the same opportunities that we had. I hope that, one day, a British Government will try restore a closer relationship to the EU.

Thanks for your comment and for watching Joe! Glad you got to experience life in Germany whilst you could. Indeed it's a shame that other young people won't get as easy access to studying and working abroad too. Let's see what happens in the future!

I lived in U.K. one year and it was great. I live in Ireland now but will return to Basque Country where I am from. Enjoyed the experience of meeting people from different countries and cultures.:)

I’m actually moving to Seville for a 10 week internship on Sunday! I’m very excited and definitely agree with a lot of your way of thinking. I’d like to find work in Spain after this internship. Got a lot of work to do on my Spanish for that to be feasible I think though. Also I have an Irish passport which helps me avoid all of the brexit saga. Anyway nice video!

That’s awesome Lucas!! Seville is a wonderful place and simply being in Spain will give your Spanish a major boost. Great that you can avoid the Brexit bureaucracy too! Thanks for watching 😁

Learning Spanish in Seville is more or less like going to Glasgow to learn English 🙂 I hope you're going to a language school instead of talking to local people to learn 😅

@@Juan_Dystopian 😂😂 great comment. Especially funny to me as I’m from Scotland. I believe through my internship I get a class a week at a language school but obviously I’ll try speak to people as well. So far I’ve only heard bad things about the Sevilla accent 😭😂. I’ll do my best anyway

I'm from the U.S, I'm bilingual Spanish, I learnt American Spanish in school, and I can perfectly understand people from Seville when they speak. Don't get discouraged.

I'm usually good at picking up on accents, I did get a hint of French and even a bit of German what I didn't get was a Newcastle accent in fact you have a strong hint of a Dublin accent particularly a southside accent, I'm guessing that you move within a lot of nationalities

Yes my accent is quite a mess 😂 I tend to pick up accents so having lived in multiple places I've ended up with quite a mix!

I am an expat living in Hong Kong since 2011. My first country was South Korea in 2008. I totally agree with everything you've shared about living abroad. It's an exciting life! Although I was picking up some Korean while living there, I'm ashamed to admit I don't speak Chinese (Cantonese in particular). Fortunately, English is widely spoken in Hong Kong so it hasn't been an issue but still I should learn Mandarin before I leave here. I admire Europeans in your ability to speak multiple languages and you just may have a linguistic gift since I have heard you speak Spanish like a native in your other video. Keep up the good work with your Chanel and I wish you many more followers. Cheers!

You´ve done a great job assimilating to Spain. Your Spanish is awesome, and your accent is so good, you could fool Spaniard who were not looking at your while talking. You are a Madrileño!

Thanks for the interesting video Jonny. I agree with the public transport in Paris, it is not the best. What I find difficult about moving to Spain, especially if you worked in a country with a higher GDP per Capita (Germany, France, UK, Switzerland, Scandinavia, USA, ...) is the wage difference. Yes, cost of living is lower to, but if I want to travel to my home country, everything is more expensive (if I would work in Spain). I find that the key point in moving abroad. Would be interested to hear your perspective. Because ideally I would live in Spain (lower cost of living) with job that has the salary of a higher GDP per Capita country. How could this be managed? I think working in tourism in Spain could be a solution, because you live in Spain but people with more money (Germans, Americans) pay higher prices, for example for accommodation. So renting out flats for tourists (like air b n b) could be lucrative. On the other site, the Spanish marked is highly regulated which makes investing difficult and thus not very attractive. I guess being a digital nomad would work just fine. Maybe you know some of these people and u could do a video about it?

Thanks for watching Joan!! Indeed I noticed I’ve adapted to the Spanish cost of living, what once seemed reasonably priced in Northern European countries now seems expensive.. real estate is certainly an interesting opportunity in Spain, one I am looking into at the moment. I’ve made a few videos related to digital nomad life as it really interests me, and may look to make more content on it in the future 😊
