You’re so right: a lot of lasting impression you search for is lost to the artist. I’m a musician, and I can spend hours tweaking notes and composition. I can look at what I’ve created and like it, but at some point, it doesn’t even sound like a song anymore because I’ve spent so much time on it. Part of the emotional impact of art, that sense of awe, can only come from being detached from it. That’s how I see it, anyways.
Interesting to hear this from a musician! There is just a certain magic to creating in a flow state where you’re not caught up on the outcome being a certain way
Don't pull yourself down. You're a better artist than a lot of people. Personally, I wonder why some artists have become famous for what I would call a load of rubbish. As long as you enjoy doing what you do, that is all that matters. Perhaps in the not so distant future, you'll have your own exhibition?
The beauty of art is that it’s subjective. I’m going to be happy with some pieces and not with others. It’s all part of the process Thanks for the support! 😃
@@GraceDeGrace they certainly seem to be. Your super calm introspective manner in your videos make them amazing for days when I finish work and my stress levels are high.
