My instructor had an interesting story of his days flying the 207. The plane is so long, there were times when the plane would tip over on its back while loading. In order to prevent that, he always had a guy holding the horizontal stabilizer while boarding, his hands were behind his back and he would be facing the people as they board and greeted them with a smile, while they were blissfully unaware on the purpose this smiling lad had.

Really really awesome video.. it’s really cool to see someone taking advantage of the sim’s visual potential :p. Only a couple small notes: as someone else said, avionics should be off for start (to prevent current spikes which damage equipment, but isn’t modeled in the Carenados). Also, I’d highly recommend getting the WT GNS530 from the marketplace, it is a massive step up from the normal Asobo one (and it’s free, part of the base sim).. Keep creating stuff!

Thanks for the comment/info! Yeah I’ve noticed how the Stock GNS seem… well not up to par. I’m definitely better now not to switch avionics on now with all my planes 😂

The swiss army knife of GA is the Pilatus PC6, not the Cessna 207, to be honest. Much more versatile aircraft then the C207. The real Fish Lake airstrip is completely different from that of this freeware that is "total fantasy". There are no hangars there! There is absolutely nothing along the lake shores. There are several video about Fish Lake airstrip kn YT. It is one of the most remote in Idaho backcountry. Love flying Idaho in MSFS. I have all the pay and free airports of this US state.

I have to agree with you. I grew up in Ecuador and my dad’s oil company used to operate a pair down in the eastern jungles to service satellite airstrips around Lago Agrio. A 207 simply wouldn’t have cut some of those strips with tricycle gear. The Porters were lovingly called “Machacas”, which is a beetle that looks like it has an elongated peanut head and makes a helluva racket in the rainforest. If you saw one of these beetles you’d definitely see why they call the plane by the same name.

That’s honestly true 😂 could’ve given more thought to GA and it’s broadness. I expected this comment sooner or later hehe. While Fish Lake definitely isn’t realistically depicted i definitely have a blast in the sim flying to the fantasy version :)

Very nice video I like it!.. Yes, avionics should be off at engine start. Also check your fuel selector before engine start. It appeared to be drawing fuel from only the left tank, usually it's put on both which is the center position to draw fuel from both left and right tanks at the same time. But hey it's a simulator who cares😂

Only complaint is that the Autopilot does over correct on sharp turns when using it. That and the engine interior sounds just don’t match up with exterior. It sounds ok but idk. Something’s off. Other than that, it’s great.

Well i am not exactly sure how to DM in youtube however my PC specs you can find in every description of my videos as well my flight sticks, trackIR and the editing program i use (Davinci Resolve) let me know if theres anything else you would be interested in knowing. :)

my throttle does nothing(it does move but makes no changes to the engine) and the prop lever gives full rpm's until you speed up to about 40 mph. I've checked the controller bindings they are fine and work on all other aircraft. I've deleted and installed the plane again but no change. any ideas?

Sounds buggy… so you can still accelerate to 40? Mixture is also set to full?
