We had a home birth in 2004 with our only child, and it was the absolute BEST decision for us- you will be so pleased! All your reasons are valid and you'll find so many more as your experience progresses. Blessings to your family!
I am SO SO VERY EXCITED for you and your family! I am a huge fan of home birthing when it is a safe and viable option! I find it so empowering, as a woman specifically, to be able to make this decision as well as, to be surrounded by my “safe space”, when possible. I truly/personally believe the subconscious and conscious effects of being immersed in a place where we see-touch-hear-smell things and people (or even pets) that make us most happy leads to a naturally calming, positive, and peaceful benefit and is so amazing, if possible.
