So excited for you Susan! South Florida is super hot and humid in the summer and setting spray are a must! We're approaching Hurricane Season as well so be prepared with your hurricane supplies. Water, flashlights, batteries, etc. Hurricane Season ends on November 30th. Also, summers here are hot in the morning with thunderstorms in the afternoon almost every day.

Welcome to Miami, Susan! I really hope you love it! The house you purchased looked gorgeous. There are a lot of hidden gems in Miami like neighborhoods from Key Biscayne to Coconut Grove to Coral Gables and more, and the schools are really good when u look for them! The culture is diverse and rich, and who doesn’t love the beaches and cafecito shops! Even the universities and colleges in the area are great! (UM, FIU, MDC). Life definitely moves quick around here and drivers are aggressive, but if it’s for you, you’ll never want to leave. There’s an idea that Miami people are conceited and materialistic and shallow. And that can be true for some people of all places, but you just have to find those that are sincere like you. The vast majority aren’t that way.
I agree with you. I'm not in Miami anymore, but raised my kids for nearly 10 years in Miami. I absolutely loved it. I loved the culture, the food, the many places to visit with kids, mild winter and etc,. Doral area is also good if you fly a lot :) Don't forget to use the museum passes offered from the Miami-Dade library 😀
Miami is awesome! Like any city, you find your home and niche areas. I went to high school there and it was just very normal. I moved back after college and loved being in the Grove and Gables. Miami has so much to offer beyond Miami Beach and clubs!
Welcome to Florida!🌞🤍 we just moved to Boca Raton (about 40 miles north of Miami) last year and absolutely love it here. It’s classy, clean, safe, well-groomed, & beautiful up here. Perfect for families & children as the best elementary schools are all in Boca. Really good beaches nearby also- i still tell my husband almost every week how it feels like we are on vacation. Do come check out Boca as well when you move! :)

Florida really has some amazing spots! Miami , Tampa , Palm Beach, Hutchinson Island off treasure coast . The springs in high springs are a must see! Think the kids and you are going to love it
Totally agree about Orgasm-as a very fair & cool toned human, it reads extremely pink on me which is dandy, but it’s not neutral enough if I want to play up other features. I’ve found that Genesis by Melt dances the perfect line between gold-flecked pink & peach for the pale gals!

I’m sorry but the school system in Florida is terrible and they have a shortage of 9,000 teachers currently. The political atmosphere in that state is really out of this world in a bad way. 😮

I miss Miami. I lived there for 9 yrs. Best place ever!!!!! I moved away because of my job. The culture is different. Miami is an extension of the Caribbean. Its colorful, vibrant, the music, food, ppl are out of this world!
Welcome to Miami Susan. Millions already have moved from LA on the last 3 years to South Fl bc still has lots to offer and less expensive living comparing to LA and other expensive areas of Cali. But for us here in Miami it has raise the prices of homes for us locals to buy bc the offer war that has created western and Eastern migration.
Honestly. I live in Miami too. Grew up here and I would prefer is all Californians and New Yorkers stayed in their state and fixed it. They voted for what they have. Then they come to our state and ruin it. Just like they ruin their state.

Miami was very pretty however too segregated, expensive and just not for me outside of loving the sections that do embrace diversity and the magic of when everyone melts as one. However congrats !!!! Can't wait for my next check so I can purchase some of your products
