I don't even get the Baptist use of the Didache. The only modes I see mentioned is pouring. The concern seems more pragmatic, prefer flowing water over stagnant water sources, and prefer colder stagnant water over warmer stagnant water. I think we are too used to having clean water pumped just about everywhere we might find ourselves in modern society, but this matches the sort of water that will be safer and healthier for human use. Baptists seem to assume every body of "living" (flowing) water is always deep enough to submerge an adult human, but why is that a given?

The “bottom up” church governments aren’t truly bottom up - SOMEONE fills that power vacuum. It’s important to have a deliberative body of elders so no one leader can have too much power / influence
I have a question about the Lord's supper. When Jesus walked on earth, His presence with us was through His physical person, since He was here. After his ascension, He sent the Holy Spirit, who indwells true believers. So, why would we need His presence again in the elements of communion? He is already living in our hearts. I simply can't make sense of that notion. Thks.
