@@bonscottrocks1728 Kwon showcases his abilities on his own RU-vid channel but not on Good Good. Many times he doesn't seem interested and hits the ball all over the place.
The turn off for me of the good good videos, is it's all fun exhibition stuff. One club challenges, elimination, etc. But watching good golf, stroke play, even match play, is the best.
@@sammysandy5135 kinda the part of it. I don’t get to play Sawgrass and Pebble and Murifield all the time and in winter West Texas “white” golf is entertaining. I like both
@@sammysandy5135It’s winter golf. Not many courses are perfect right now. Edit: Especially courses that they are trying to get back to back tee times on last minute.
God bless you G. Hope you and your doc figure that out. Shows a very high level of maturity making that decision based on your condition and knowing that your game may not be at level now. You’ll definitely be at the level again soon.
I went through the heart thing a few yrs back..ended up with a panick attack... that started my heart irregularity and its ironic but that is when i found Good Good and your videos helped my get through it... sounds corny but 100% legit ... get better take time for urself
I have been dealing with the same heart issue for 25 years. My advice is to give up all caffeine, and stay active. It never goes away, but become more manageable in stressful situations. Just remember its not life threatening and fight through it. The worst part is the lightheadedness and when you have an attack it drains your energy.
Sounds like something i dealt with for about 6 months from end of 2022 through the spring on 2023. If you don't already have one go to see an EP, an electrophysiologist, it's a heart doctor that specializes in the electric rhythm of the heart, honestly had no idea doctors like that existed till i was at my worst dealing with this in the hospital. I was having episodes multiple times a day and it was draining the life out of me, was scared to do anything really. i had two cardiac ablation surgeries over those 6 months and it changed my life, very safe and normal procedure and is the best way to get an idea of what's going on with the electric rhythm of your heart and if that's the issue. Sadly my issue stems more from the nodes on my heart not working properly, so to really fix it i'd need to have a procedure that has a high percentage of me needing a pacemaker if it doesn't go in my favor and at 26 years old, just doesn't make sense. But staying off caffeine, limiting how much sugar i take in, and being on medicine that controls it but doesn't mess with my energy level has made a worlds difference, i still deal with little blips but it's much more manageable and the biggest thing for me, i know why it's happening. The uncertainty during those 6 months was the hardest part to get through, just know if you're dealing with something similar it's not gonna kill you and you can fight through it, but it's good to really get to the root of the issues so you can move forward with out any uncertainty. You got it G!
Garrett, your physical and mental health are way more important than any tournament or video. Take cre of yourself first then worry about everything else it will fall into place. and thank you for explaining what is going on. Some of us could see something is wrong but couldnt figger out what. Take care young man and keep up the great work
Sounds like Afib you're dealing with. I had the cardiac ablation surgery down in Austin at St. Davids by Dr Gerald Gallinghouse. It's world renowned and I believe he was part of a team in San Francisco that pioneered the proceedure. Get it done! The longer you wait the more difficult is to correct according to Dr. Gallinghouse. They have all kinds of stats on it. And yes, stress and caffeine are not good for the condition.
I had open heart surgery last year and afterwards I was having a similar heart condition where my heart beat would go into an abnormal fast rate (180 bpm) for hours. The doctor put me on a beta blocker and I had to remove both caffeine and alcohol. Since making those changes I have not had any fast heart events again. You will find the triggers that are causing it. Glad that you shared your condition with us. Good luck Gerrit you’re an inspiration to many young men today.
the stroke vibes are great and would love to see the progression or even some practice sessions and see how you better your game and what drills you use... Like warm up sessions or trackman combine. Garrett we are all here for you brother do whats best for you. we will always be here looking forward to the next vid
Appreciate you sharing what you are going through. Been dealing with some health related anxiety and these videos help me calm down a ton. Thanks for all you do
First time I have ever commented on any of your videos. Stress and anxiety go kind of hand in hand with your heart. Would love to see you having fun at Golf again. Right now it seems like work. Your Golf game is better and the videos are more entertaining when Garrett Clark is smiling and having a good time with this friends.. Keep the faith!
Loving this chill content! would love to see more of this! Just you and another golfer playing some no-pressure golf. It helps us high-handicappers when we see how you guys play through these courses. would be cool to see you play with Ben Kruper, Cailyn Henderson, Ashton Gaulin, Trottie, Peter Finch, and Taco golf etc...
Sorry to hear about the heart palpitation’s been dealing with it since my early 20’s. Less alcohol, less caffeine, watch spicy foods and get good sleep helps. Now that im in my mid 30’s been doing trt and that really helps but doctors dont know why. Can tell you its scary when it gets bad. Good luck G
Absolutely loved watching you guys … stroke play all the way good stuff .. Garrett thanks for sharing in my prayers bro wish u all the best hopefully get it all figured out soon !!! You’re the bomb !!! 🤩
Keep the videos coming, and look after your stress levels mate, i hope you'll take lots of positives out of this difficult situation, p.s good to see brad is absolutly nuking his driver
All the best Garrett. You made our day on this day, took a picture with me and my golf buddies. You are doing God’s work my guy. Keep up the “good” work
BTW G my last post was made during the middle of the round. I just finished watching the rest of the video and saw your comments regarding your health. Again the stress of running the two channels can be contributing to your heart issues. Please stay top of it. You have so much going for you. I am older and don’t do snap chat so this is the first I am hearing about it. God bless you! I really enjoy your content.
I have the same sorta deal with my heart and nerves. Something that helps me personally is breath work, just taking 5 minutes of non stop deep inhale and long exhales everyday. I also walk on the treadmill at incline for 20-30 mins before a workout. All the best to you G
Never really comment on videos but hearing about your heart and how I can relate as I have the same experience with it and at such a young age to deal with it sucks but I’m glad to hear you’re making strides to battle it and stay healthy helps my mental to keep battling it too as I’ve just dealt with it and not really battled against it until recently. Keep up the good work and thanks for being such an inspiration to me!!!!!
Never comment and very much doubt you'll even see this comment Garrett but i had bad anxiety and stress that led to irregular heartbeat after i left the Army. Good days and bad days but more often bad days, and anything would set it off, and was hard to shake off... Started golf about 5 years ago and when i started playing competitions ect anxiety would mess game up. I tried everything from CBD oil to therapy, nothing helped it really until i came across Box Breathing exercises... 4 seconds inhale, 4 seconds hold, 4 seconds exhale, 4 seconds hold... Rinse and Repeat, do this every morning for 5-10 mins and before bed for 5-10 mins, and any time you feel like you're becoming anxious .... This has honestly changed my life. All the best.
Kudos on knowing your game and stepping away from that PGA event brother. Definitely more stroke play on your channel mate. We get our dose of games etc on GG.
I would like you or GGG come north to the Midwest. We have a lot of good courses up here. one particular course is Bully Pulpit Golf Course in Theodore Roosevelt National Park in ND
Long time watcher of the channel! I've been dealing with something similar! Right Bundle Branch block along with some anxiety was my diagnosis. I've cut caffeine similar to you (over 2 years now) and it's helped! I'm in a somewhat stressful job in a top auto manufacturer and understand somewhat the stress you're talking about. Obviously not to the extent of competing at the level and crowds your are, but I'll keep watching for an update, as I'm curious for your diagnosis of it's something you're willing to share.
Just wanted to say I ll be thinking of you and praying your DR can get this under control for you. Stress is nothing to play around with, so I’m glad to hear you taking all the correct steps. As for coffee little bit of French vanilla cream and no sugar
Garrett!! If you're ever in Arlington (city in between Fortworth & Dallas) try out Shady Valley country club. It's my home course, and a super fun one. I live on the 15th teebox, so if you ever decide to play come say hi.
Hey G, I have the same thing with my heart, just never got it checked out. Taking in the surroundings and focusing on calm deep breaths helps me get out of the episode (palpitation/anxiety attack? idk). Keeps us updated, curious what it is.
I appreciate you sharing about your heart issue. I'm sure it's an uneasy feeling right now navigating all of that but I commend you on your ability to stay positive through it and to keep that going through all of the content you put out. I'll be praying for you and your doctor. I believe that it will get better and you can continue to provide great content and to be a great role model.
G-rat, I used to get the same heavy, fast heart rhythm/ symptoms as you several years back. Mine was triggered several times from the exertion of my golf swing, even wore a monitor while golfing for a bit. Started treatment/ meds for high blood pressure/ cholesterol and haven't had any problems since..on or off the course. All the best to you bud.
Love seeing you play at Twin Creeks. Thats the confidence builder course when you had some off rounds. That house was under construction for 4 years if not more. Crazy.
Hey Garrett i struggle with the same condition and have always wondered what it was. But im glad to see your taking your health seriously and looking out for yourself. Hope to see you better soon much love.
Would love to see some scooty golf i know hes been at some of the good good evens recording but seeing him play golf is the best. A truly great character and good at golfing too
All the best with the medical issues G; once you get it figured out it doesn't matter, challenge; or accept a challenge, from whomever you want... the world is your oyster man
Heart arrhythmia my dad deals with it, scariest shit when he has a flutter he goes full panic mode. He’s also being tested for sleep apnoea. Definitely look into the sleep apnoea side of things too G. Take care and know all will be well, you’ve built and taken care of a beautiful team. They will do the absolute same for you.
In 2018 I was having a similar experience, racing heart and lightheadedness. I had to wear an external heart monitor for a month and found out I have Ventricular Tachycardia. ICD implant and meds and it seems to be under control. My doctor didn't think it was anything major, told me the same to get more sleep and avoid stress. The only reason they caught mine was I had to be cleared by a cardiologist for a surgery for a totally unrelated thing. Heart issues can range from very minor to extremely deadly. I'm not a doctor so I won't give an opinion. I just hope your doctors can get it figured out. Much love and can't wait to see you in a qualifier one day.
Hope you and your doctor get to the bottom of it G. I had dealt with a bit of a heart issue (sort of like what you describe), during my studies. It was a stressful period in my life and I was also consuming excessive amounts of caffeine. I was never able to get a diagnosis but since I quit coffee and have been doing things to help with stress, no more heart palpitations / light headedness. Take care!
Prayers Garrett, I developed palpitations and heart rhythm issues after getting Covid last year. Fortunately this medicine for rhythm/electrical signals has helped. Continued prayers for clarity, and that God has got you!
I get the same thing. Been to different doctors over the years everything comes back normal. It normally happens when my adrenaline high. Like I'm amped up when play sports. Doesnt happen often but every few months as I don't play sports as often.
huge fan bro sorry to hear I had a similar thing when I was 16 I had fluid surrounding my heart which they theorize was caused from a cold and I heard covid might of had similar effects on some people u should get an ecg my surgery was nothing to crazy they did like a microscopic surgery to drain it and I am 25 now now and pretty athletic active guy hope some of this might help
I still want to see the Brad-Rat vs Team Kwalsh worst ball scramble 😃 You gave me a shout out for it in the cart during the desert open and said it'd be cool. Let's see it G!
Totally understand where you're coming from with the health issue.I had a massive heart attack in 2015 where I ended up having three stents put in my arteries. So just to keep myself a little bit more level-headed I have shied away from playing any golf tournaments at all. And in the long run I find out am enjoying golf a lot more just enjoy the game and life.
Commenting from Birmingham, UK. Just paused the video and got my wife to listen when you mentioned the heart condition. Similar to other people in the comments I am literally going through this as we speak. I’m 29 years old, very fit and healthy and It started around 5 months ago when I collapsed for absolutely no reason. Since then, I get lightheaded whenever I get up or I’m bent down for a long period, also the anxiety and stress is certainly a trigger. Just a few days ago after several tests I have been told it could be something called Vasovagal Syncope. I have been told to cut out caffeine and drink as much water as possible which seems to be helping a lot. Still awaiting more tests. I’d be really keen to hear about your diagnosis as you move forward with docs. Really cool for you to talk about something like that when you have such a big platform to share. Crazy how many people are going through the same thing. Thanks
I just had the same thing with my heart Garret. Im only 34 and went into AFIB a couple of weeks ago and had a cardioversion to correct it. Stress, lack of rest and energy drinks definitely did not help.... lol, but get it checked out for sure!!
Its not weird when you think about who was invited. Luke has over 250k subscribers on his personal channel, brad is sub 50k. Brad wasn't invited because of his influence, Luke was, simple as that.
feel better Garrett A-fib is very common not life threatening just something you have to deal with unfortunately. As far as Collabs go would love to see you and Brad go against Mason and Cole that would be a great match with great energy!
Your winter golf experience is a lot different to what i have contend with here in Scotland. I'm out tomorrow morning and the forecast is for 6°C plus it's been raining every other day for the last 4 months so playing onto sodden fairways with zero bounce.
Dealt with the same heart issues for over a 6mo period... really miserable. Not a lot of sleep and a lot of stress and caffeine. Cut back and prioritized SLEEP. The issues went away in a few weeks. Hope to see you better soon, G.
Look after yourself fella. Your health is more important than any golf game competition. On a plus note, these video types are awesome. Love to see more stroke play. Brilliant video as always.
Twin creeks is my favorite course… and funny thing is last time I played in the beginning of February, had that same conversation about that house next to hole 5 green with my friend 🤣
I really like seeing more full-blooded golf formats -- stroke and match play. Games and challenges are fun too, but I think you'd do well with more "serious" golf.
