In this video I show you first hand why I'm switching films. There is nothing "wrong" with helios at all, and I've used it for around 5 years. But as my business grows and expands, time is more important than ever so here you go, watch and see.

Where are you purchasing the geosheild from. I'm currently using solar guard and would like to try out geo shield. Thanks. Great videos by the way.

From geoshield's website. All you have to do is create a free dealer's account and you buy it.

Ever tried lexen ? I struggled so much shrinking that , is the Geoshield easier to shrink

I used lexen when I first started over 6 years ago. Yes, geoshield is much easier to shrink. Just about anything is easier to shrink than that stuff.

I do it once in a while. I normally don't pull seals unless I have to. Seems to me that it's really just personal preference
@DennisHodges-e8c
@DennisHodges-e8c Год назад
No reason not to pull seals on the Nissans,kias, Hyundai or most newer cars anymore...most the tops just pull back with the removal of 1 screw or even no disassembly

Hey I’m looking to diy tint my own windows too. I’m also looking into geoshield not much in RU-vid about them Would u be willing to sell me some tint? I need a whole roll?? Just going to be doing 1car? Lol
@fastlanecarcarellc3608
@fastlanecarcarellc3608 Год назад
If you're just tinting one car, just pay someone to do it professionally. Geoshield will sell to anyone, all you need to do is go to geoshieldusa.com and create an account. Usually you only need about 10-12 feet of film per car but if you're new you probably will use a whole roll, especially if you plan on doing a back window or full windshield. By time you buy all the film, the tools, pay the shipping and struggle your way to a mediocre tint job, you could have had it done professionally and more than likely get a warranty with it as well. Now if you want to start with your car and maybe do some others, then knock yourself out, but be prepared to throw a lot film away. Sundistributingdirect.com is another great place to get tint and tools from. Their tint is great and cheaper than Geoshield and I would highly recommend them while you're starting out.

The inconsistency is probably the fact that Helios is actually reboxed from more then 1 manufacture. It’s not just 1 manufacture for alll their film lines. It’s 1 manufacture for dyed another manufacturer for the other carbon I believe
@fastlanecarcarellc3608
@fastlanecarcarellc3608 2 года назад
You're right. That's also true for many big names. I just think the adhesive make up is more consistent with Geo. I know that the manufacturers "fine tune" their "recipes" for the different brands (this is super common in food production and care care products as well.) So I'm not sure if this is a limitation with helios manufacturers or what. I talked to the owner of the company a few months back and he basically just told me that that's why we charge more for carbon and ceramics because they take longer to install (which, I just don't agree with and it's not been my experience with other film lines) and that they were "talking about making nova and super nova have a more aggressive adhesive.

How's the low angle haze on the geo ceramic?
@fastlanecarcarellc3608
@fastlanecarcarellc3608 2 года назад
I don't have it on any of my personal cars yet but I can tell you I haven't had a single customer ask or complain about it or anything like that. Other people say it's pretty much non existent so I would have to agree with them on that.

@@fastlanecarcarellc3608 I only ask because it almost seems no matter how much slip i use i cant slide film very well here in florida, You gotta be pretty perfect on your lay lol.
@fastlanecarcarellc3608
@fastlanecarcarellc3608 5 месяцев назад
@skouria3135 when you spray the glass does the water bead up? If so there is a hydroponic coating, likely from ceramic glass cleaner. They are getting really popular with dealerships as well as detailers. If that's the case, no matter how much slip you use it won't work right. You need to torch the window or scrub with invisible glass glass stripper to remove it.

@@fastlanecarcarellc3608 another question ive seen you say to someone else is get a 60" roll and have them cut 36" x 24".. That sounds great but do they box them separately or how does that work?

Less soap
@fastlanecarcarellc3608
@fastlanecarcarellc3608 Год назад
Right. Doesn't make sense to do when you run a 3 gallon keg and using less soap would make the dyed film too sticky. I ended up switching to tint slip and it works great across all 3 helios lines.
