i was playing engi in a losing dustbowl attack situation and someone had almost capped the point but died and everyone was triyng to push forward, bunch of big boys attacking them hard and i as a no cosmetic engi just sneaked past them becasue none of the red saw me as a threat and capped their point and we won that match lol

I agree with his character being cute in a way, too. I think it helps that he has a southern accent and soothing voice too. I think it was a SoundSmith video where I saw it, but there was this relatively oblivious Engi who was just running around trying to build their stuff, and for some reason they looked kinda cute going back and forth between their spawn and the frontline without paying attention to all the enemies attacking it. They're buildings would suddenly break, and they would immediately change course back to the same spot to build.

There is nothing more cuter in TF2 than a F2P just figuring out how engineer works and finally got his first sentry kill

For me, it's because I can literally just stand there and be an absolutely pivotal part of the team. No, I'm not talking about the sentry. I'm talking about the teleporter and the dispenser. The sentry just exists to protect those two things. You decide where your team plays. When they fall back, they fall back to you. When they come from spawn, they teleport where you dictated. You're helping the team just by being there. And, that is amazing to me.

The M4 in new Modern Warfare. The Lothric Greatsword in DS3. The list goes on. And yet it only makes me feel better when I manage to get the upper hand using something else.

I've had two mains over my TF2 life, whilst I've always liked them all for a good chunk of time I mained medic because of his hilarious personality and concept as well as the fact I was confined to a laptop and minimal FPS knowledge at the time so playing medic and healing others and getting assists maid it feel like I was actually helping. Then I decided I wanted to be on the other end of the medigun and now im a heavy main, his hilarious character and the ability to be this wall of meat that mows people down is just so much fun for me. ^-^

I used to solo main engineer, until I started getting into rocket jumping, then I picked up soldier and it's fun playing both classes. I enjoy playing roamer in 6s just bc I get to jump around, and I love playing engie in HL and sentry jumping in MVM. That's what I like about engineer is that there are so many roles that he can fill. Need an offensive flank to deny a capture point? Gunslinger and shotgun is the way to go. Need to get some ares denial fast on a last hold? Jag works great. I just love the versatility engineer offers with all his weapons.

Quagsire's a great 'mon. Sure, Swampert has the stats Quagsire could dream of, but Quagsire has amazing abilities in Water Absorb and Unaware, and not only can wall Gen 8's Ubers lineup, but also pops off in UU. Not to mention it is the original Water/Ground type, and like the Engineer, is so friggin' adorable!

very good video! the reason I chose engie is because i enjoy the more background-focused playstyle. I like letting my builds do all the "heavy lifting," so i can take a more chill, strategy-oriented approach than just running out into the action and getting myself killed within a minute lol

I main demo cuz he feels like the class that I can control the game the most. I love the feeling of putting down a sticky and now the other guy HAS to play around it and his movement is limited. I love that he is all projectiles, he does a ton of damage, he has dope jumps as well. And he's not as common to see played really well. Idk it just feels like your potential as demo is almost infinite in area denial and damage

I'm a newer player that has largely mained medic, but I've been putting in some more hours into engineer because of you Uncle Dane. As medic, it is great to watch a scout duel end in the favor of my team mate because I was there. Either for the whole thing, or just towards the end when his health was already flashing red. Great to watch a push succeed or go further since I was healing my teammates. As engineer, I love watching the teleporter use counter go up. Always interesting to watch my team's behavior change because of the presence of my dispenser and teleporter. Warmed my soul last night to watch some of my teammates back track a short distance from the front, and use my dispenser. It was fun watching the sniper hang fairly close to my dispenser, as he picked off targets and took some hits. Edit: Also, I keep in mind your teachings of helping the team engineer and upgrading another engineer's buildings, especially teleporter. I also consciously remind myself of what you said about dispensers, which is, "the dispenser is for THE TEAM not just for you".

I am a "team player", and as a team player I want to help my team win. That is why I play engie. Not because I necessarily prefer it. Most of the time this means I will have to go engie because absolutely no one has built a teleporter, dispenser or sentry by the time I join a match and they wonder just how in tarnation could they be losing against the enemy team.
