Exactly why I don’t live in the city in my state, the hustle and bustle of city living drives me crazy and I can only visit every now and then. I’m starting my garden as well, I love seeing trees and deer. I love the tranquility that the suburbs bring me. 😊

when I cook outdoors, I don't cook over the main fire, but instead shovel coals from that main fire into the cookspace with a pan supported above it.

Hello from Germany..... looking forward to your gardening updates. I started growing salads, vegetables and herbs last year in my small garden and I still have a lot to learn to grow my own food. Recently I organized a gas cooker for outdoor cooking, haven‘t tried cooking on fire yet. 🙏

Having left the city for more than a year now, we totally understand. Living in the countryside, growing your own food and cooking with it, takes one back to simpler, happier times. And definitely healthier! Kudos!

😂😂 love it when your pan caught fire. Wales is such a stunning country, looks like you've got a beautiful new home there. You need a trivet, or cooling rack type thing over your heat so you can take your pan to the outside edge to get a bit of indirect heat. Good luck with your outdoor cooking.
