I am a 47 year old black man. The current climate within the black community is far from where it once was. It's my hope and prayer that from this event the two young men realized just how wrong that type behavior is. Not that long ago we as blacks were not allowed to be in a place like that with whites. A lot of fighting and lives lost for us be where we are now. Thanks for the video.
It may surprise you but even in the mountains we have these pervert whites who sell children and do nasty stuff to them, rob people's property at night and they are connected to the Sherrifs department. Sheriff gets a cut of the action. They are dangerous and we have to watch them. I wouldn't want to be black and have those little bastards lookin to pop me in the head and steal my chain or wallet. My black friends I noticed were very nervous around they own kind. That's who usually kills them. We will never really mix because it isn't in anyone's nature to do so. Wepons don't just keep others in check, they can keep ourselves in check. Carrying a firearm has taught me to not go looking for trouble. Bringing that power to any situation demands responsibility. And I don't want to bite off more than I can chew.
An asshole is an asshole no matter color, creed, religion, sex, sexual preference, etc. I am not saying to challenge people everywhere that act like this, especially if armed, but we don't need to let anyone walk over of us either.
Thank you for sharing your story. I am a black female and commend you for doing this and for just not being intimidated by those two ignorant punks; they should be ashamed of themselves. You don't sound like a racist of any sort to me, but rather that of a decent and honorable man. Sorry you and the audience had to suffer something like that, but those men did the right thing and the two punks were taught a good lesson, a lesson that should have been taught by a father they very likely don't have. They apparently had nothing to lose. If they end up in jail at the end of the night, they don't truly care because they have no family relying on them to keep a stable job.
You have to be more careful when you carry a firearm. You can't be perceived to be the aggressor and you have to make every effort to withdrawal yourself from conflict.

Interesting story. At least you had the nerve to stand up for something. I am a black male. This lack of respect is in all races though. There are those that are constantly trying to intimidate others. I've had folks of other races do it to me. What do you do? I was taught to stand up for myself, always will. Its sad that most will not do the same when confronted.
I appreciate you sharing the story. I don't agree with your position that your honor was at stake here. I think the honor lies in avoiding confrontation so that you can continue providing for your family, noisy and distrespeptful punks notwithstanding. There are people who can handle (stop) punks in situations like the one you described. I'm not one of them. I admire those who can. I've learned by experience that I just have to accept my limitations and avoid scenarios where I am outside my limitations. All that said, I'm glad someone handled those punks.
Some people can accept that they are a coward and allow other people to insult them, their wives, and children...others can't. But the cold hard facts is that you are right when it comes to what might happen (kill one even in self-defense and your life is ruined) so I can understand that position. Thank God for those young and brave enough who will respond for us, or it only gets worse. Take care.
It sucks here! I just got my ccw and I can’t even conceal “legally” in some of the places which were the reason I got my ccw. For example: movie theaters, Churches. The two places which are targeted in some way by shooters. Ridiculous!

These kids were not in check because they have nothing to lose. Not because they do not have equal opportunity, but rather because they've done nothing to have something to lose. You have to earn it!
I am what many would consider a bleeding heart liberal but I couldn't agree with you more when it comes to gun rights. The laws that prevent me from carrying my gun in a movie theater do not protect the law abiding citizen it protects the criminal who wants to commit a massacre with out getting shot at. Speaking as an African American, I can say that what you felt wasn't racist in the slightest. It's disgusting that certain individuals use a public movie theater to voice their own insecurities at the expense of others. I completely agree with your opinion at the end. I carry everywhere I go, and its the fact of being a Marine, a husband, and a father that keep me from engaging in certain situations. When we as a nation get fed up...that's a day that I am not looking forward to,
I truly respect your courage to say these. In fact, so many black people discriminate against Chinese that there is no justice in the society to correct that. As a fellow CCW carrier, I'll say everything about this situation was wrong. If there is a pack of unruly assholes that are basically stealing your money in a movie theater by depriving you of your experience you go tell the management to refund your money and toss the riff raff out. Let them deal with it. If they don't you vote with your money and don't return to that theater. If that's the audience they want to cater to (which they didn't even know about until a huge scene broke out in the theater and people went running) then they can suffer the consequences. You saying something to them wasn't going to do anything but start a fight and possibly force you into a situation where you would have to defend yourself. They already knew they were being assholes before you basically confirmed it for them and gave them the attention they clearly wanted. The real problem is that people are to cowardly to even go do that. They'd rather sit there and have their experience ruined than cause any waves at all. To that end, I agree with your overall point. If we continue to put up with such behavior then we can look forward to getting a lot more of it.
I own fire arms because I live on an imperfect earth. Meekness and trying to compromise might only make you into a victim, you can't choose when or how bad a conflict will draw you in so be ready for the worst.

Happen to me 15 years ago I was on vacation in Arizona took the wife and niece and her friend to a movie 3 young black kids were being loud I ask him to keep ot done and that we didn't pay money to hear him talk and I politely asked him to shut up watch the movie or leave they gave me a standing ovation.I was kind pissed plus I don't think anyone needs to take carp you pay Money to enjoy yourself not to hear their loud talking in a movie theater me ans my family were the only blacks in the theater I was nice the first time but they were being disrespectful toward others.
I had a couple thugs come into a public bathroom and think they would mess with me. They guessed wrong I'm not very tall bout 5,8 but I'm solid at 200 lbs lifting caskets all day the last 10 year's. So when I knew it was gonna go there I slammed my hand into his throat and the other started towards me I drew my 380 tcp and he bolted. Guess who got arrested? Yeah me for pointing a firearm which I never pointed just drew. Unfortunately for me at this event was a number of police. Oh I did beat it but the judge took my permit so I'm never allowed to carry again. Yeah beat the case and some antigun judge punishes you anyway.
Thank god he withdrew your permit, drawing with no lethal or bodily injury threat, holy shit. You can be used as an example of what not to do while carrying.
That’s exactly why I don’t go to the movies anymore. If I do go (very rarely) I go in the middle of the day...when it’s empty. I’m black but young black people are outta control. I carry.
If you Google shipping restrictions to each state, for magazine capacity, a chart of America will pop up and you'll see hundreds of Unconstitutional restrictions. They are having success, which is a bad thing, at the local level.

Last time I check you had other options, like calling in management who would have gotten security involved to have the two properly removed. This type of mindset is why lawmakers continue to threaten gun ownership with legislation. If you were that offended then gun or no gun you should have spoken up. Personally, I’m glad you didn’t have a gun that night. A couple of brash young men are alive and well, you’re enjoying life on your ranch and not in prison...so the only thing bruised is your pride. Another great video Stooch. It is sad how the young do not get taught how to respect their elders. I don't go to the movies anymore because of that same reason. People don't know to behave at theaters anymore. I much rather be at home and watch movies while enjoying a cold one and my nice surround system.
I'm a minority (born in Indonesia), liberal, registered Democrat, prior military, and legally armed. I've been in a similar movie theater experience as the one you had where other patrons were loud and disruptive. Our verbal argument continued all the way to the parking lot, though thankfully nothing serious happened and no one was hurt. The greatest exercise of power comes in its restraint. I understand that MORE now that I have a license to carry firearms and carrying on a regular basis. I was single then and unarmed. Now I too have a family and armed. Different life circumstances, but restraint is STILL a virtue. Someone has to be the adult in the room...always.
Man this was a super similar story that I've seen happen in Albuquerque:/ Cool calm and collected beings walk away without stress from any altercation. From football to guns to being an employee talking to dickhead customers, you'll never go wrong being a quick thinker, know your local gun laws, don't raise tension, and be accurate. Easy. As long as you keep your temper, you can't mess up unless you're uneducated.
People need to behave themselves regardless of their race or creed. Period. They need to show respect to each other. And everyone deserves to be able to protect themselves.
In North Carolina you cannot legally carry a firearm concealed or openly in a place that charges admission such as a movie theater. Thus the reason he did not want anyone to know what he had in his pocket.

I recently had an encounter with a psycho here in West Palm Beach , a lady I was driving was scared to death when an obviously very dangerous criminal tried to ram my car head on with his pick up , he was in possession of a gun- totally illegal ! He got out " shouted " do you know how much money you would owe me if I hit you ?" I did Not have a gun - and I did not feel comfortable ! The lady was very terrified & I was awaiting the thug to get closer- he didn't & I then tried to back up to remove us from the threat- the A-hole thenbaccelerated full speed again to ram us & I was barely able to reverse parrallel park to get out of the way as the psycho flew by me at high speed . Calling the Police - all respect to them- wluld do nothing , US🇺🇸All must have the means to defend against such violent criminals ! Yet another vital reason for the 2nd amendment & for me to carry my 629 !

I stopped going out much long before Covid came about for reasons like this one. Long ago, I went to a movie in Fresno, a 45 minute ride on my motorcycle. Before the show started Mama Nature came a callin' collect. So I'm in there doing my business when a group of loud guys come in. All of a sudden I see hands on top of the stall door and this guy yells. ANYBODY IN THERE!? My response was pure reflex. I yelled yes and hit as many fingers as I could as hard as I could. He screamed and they all left. I finished up as fast as I could and left the bathroom. I was getting a drink of water when the manager asked me if I saw anyone come out, someone broke this guy's fingers. I did not lie, I told the truth, I didn't see anyone come out of there. I'm not bragging or anything and it was a reflex, I'm sitting there minding my own business with my pant's around my ankles and I perceived a threat. I have no idea who these people, their race or age other than they were male, more than one and my age or younger. I was maybe 20 then and still in the Navy.

I quit going to theaters a long time ago. The public just doesn't behave anymore and there's little accountability, especially for the fatherless, for their actions.
I'm writing you about why I own guns. About 1984 we had just moved in to our first home. I had to work late one night in town "note town was at least 19 mile from the house" we lived in the desert our whole yard was sand and we had not put in any outside lighting yet and some guy knocked on the door at 9:00 PM at night that Is why I HAVE GUNS. The guy wanted to talk about putting in grass, and doing landscaping, wrong time when my wife is just a little spooked because we had lived there about 1 week My first home improvement project was sodium area lighting, He came close to getting shot.
you don't need an assault-style weapon with a large magazine and a bumpstock in order to stay out of trouble at the movies. but yes, your shotguns, rifles, and pistols are great to have.
I had a bit of an exchange with a "young" guy as well at the theater once. Some friends and I, whom I was visiting on vacation, were watching movie in a relatively empty screen. It was "end of watch". Lots of action and adrenaline. In front of us were a guy and his girl. They kept talking,texting, making side comments and woooing and ha-ing. I understand when movie is exhilarating you have natural reactions but this was clearly being obnoxious and in disregard for other patrons. I chose to remain quiet until my friend complained it was ruining the movie. I very politely leaned over the seat and asked merely to stop the texting and keep side comments to themselves, but please enjoy the movie. I was abruptly told by the young man to "mind my f$%&!n business". I responded that it was not only my business, but everyone else who paid good money to see this films business. He did not even have the courage to look me in the eye. His girlfriend diffused the situation and he remained relatively quiet throughout the remainder of the movie. The whole time I was expecting a confrontation after it was over, which didn't happen. Bottom line it is very unfortunate that people should have to put up with such ignorance and arrogance in order to no be labeled a racist. Im Mexican by the way. Anyway great vid sootch. With recent events in Florida at the movies a small altercation can end in tragedy and if one is a concealed weapon holder they should practice restraint at great length.
14 years later, it has not gotten any better, and I can see what you're talking about. People are scared to get involved for losing your livelihood, but how far does it have to go ,but that's what the government wants anyway?
