that's best thing Garrett, you should only film when you feel like it, cause this is when the content feels the best for us IMO. Don't force it, don't burn yourself out, we already have a lot of you on GG and on GM. Much love
I have those type of dreams about once every 2 months. Started happening maybe 3 years ago. Super weird feeling, especially because you eventually realize youre sleeping and try to wake up but when you think you succeed youre still in another dream. Kinda cool to talk about but it can definitely be an intense experience sometimes
Yeah man I've started getting sleep paralysis recently. It's completely normal but can be super sketchy and come in different severities. Keep up the good work and look after yourself! 🤞🏼
you guys do so much, we don't care that you don't upload every day. We like watching when you're happy to vlog. It's apparent when you're not into it, so you do what makes you happy buddy, have fun!!!
Hi Garrett, The essence of everything is trying to find the work/ Life balance in what you do. If you come to the point of Burnout, you have let yourself go too far and it is hard to come back into that balance without baggage. At the end of the day, you do you!!!!. If you have to dial it back to where you gain a better perspective on life, work, friends, and family. Then you do that. Your close net group will and should understand this and have your back, If not, then they shouldn't be involved in your next journey, it is that simple. I love your videos, especially your golf videos, I don't play golf myself but your vlog content has captured me and I watch everything and your collabs with other golfers. You are a great golfer and content created, Keep it up. Be safe and be well...
I’ve had inception dreams, can’t recall them anymore. But I remember one dream that lasted multiple days where I went to bed, the got up the next day in the dream and continued to do stuff. All in all, that dream went for about 20 hours!
I’m so glad you mentioned your dream within a dream Garrett. I had the exact same thing happen to me and it was the scariest thing . Mine was a terrible nightmare and did not finish with me practicing with bubba lol
Haven’t had those per say however I’ve had sleep paralysis a couple of times and that’s easily the scariest thing I’ve ever experienced so I know where yah coming from brotha
I highly recommend the Thomson county club about 45 minutes outside of Augusta GA. Lil 9 hole course, not the most prestine but great to mess around on and have a good time with the boys. A better course in the Augusta vicinity would be Bartram trail in Grovetown GA, I think they did/do some of the women's side of the masters there.
100k is a niche audience. look how far youve come. i remember watching your college vlogs with your girlfriend and your soccer friend... lol congrats man, you deserve it
It’s a cool feeling and a little weird having those dreams. I suffer from night terrors and I’ve had a night terrors within my night terror. It’s really freakin creepy!! Inception is an amazing movie.
Yoooo, if you’re going to GA hit up: 1. McLemore 2. Legacy Lanier Islands 3. Cobblestone (Acworth GA) 4. Chimney Oaks 5. Southern Landings 6. The River Golf Club 7. The Club at Savannah Harbor 8. Sea Island That’s a pretty good spread depending on the region you’re in
Yeah man I’ve had dreams within dreams and when you wake up from your dream in a dream it feels so real. it’s almost like you’re lucid dreaming in your second dream. It’s pretty nuts, it throws you for a loop. Craziest dream I had I got shot and felt the bullet i could feel myself dying I had the fear of dying because I thought it was real so I actually went through the whole mental and emotional process of passing away.
That’s a much better outlook for your vlogs. My only suggestion is recording 2 to 3 weeks of content and then you can have plenty to work with and then you could upload something like once a week or once every couple of weeks so you don’t feel burnt out
Had my first experience with this a couple weeks ago too lol. Had a dream that I was having a pretty normal day, just working, and then went to nap in the dream and started having a nightmare about someone chasing me. Woke up from the nightmare and kept working for a bit, and then woke up in real life. Was really trippy…
Yes I’ve experienced inception dreaming but my memory fades so quick like it’s creepy but awesome at the same time. Also Garrett one day I will have a chip off with you and also I’d love to show you guys how to play hockey!
"Lucid Dreaming" To know in a dream that you are dreaming is called "Lucid Dreaming". This is something that you can learn and get better at. Lucid Dreaming is REALLY cool, because you can do exactly whatever you want in the dream. There is absolutely nothing that you can not do, and it is only your imagination that is the limit. And by this I mean that you can do ALL things that we normally would call "impossible" or "magical" or "supernatural" etc, etc....
My people. Cbd can help. The only thing that’s worked for me. But it’s still 50/50 if I get good sleep orrrrrr I dream 16 times in an inception loops 🤪
Man, I've had so many sleep problems in my life. I struggled with insomnia for a long time, and honestly, I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. I tried everything, read extensively on the subject-I think I have a Ph.D. in sleep, no joke. Now, I sleep like a little baby, and it's wonderful. If you need tips that worked for me, let me know; I'd be happy to help! (Note that what worked for me might not work for everyone, as we all react differently!)
I've experienced inception dreaming twice and both times were when I fell asleep mid-day on the couch. It was kinda cool, but legit terrifying. I don't have a desire to experience it again lol
Yooooo man the melatonin thing happens to me too. I used to eat these gummies before bed and I ended up consistently having dreams waking up and then going right back into it. It was cool for a while but then they started getting… weird haha
I haven't had that, but I have dreamed I woke up. And because I was certain I was awake, when nightmarish things started happening, well I've never been so scared before. I thought that kind of thing was made up, waking up but really still asleep, you see it in movies all the time, I used to scoff at it. I hope it never happens again.
Garrett I have a story for you. I have never had a problem sleeping in my life, and my brother, who is younger than me, struggled with it most of his life. A couple years ago on vacation with my family, I started feeling really weird at a breakfast restaurant after one sip of my coffee. Next thing I know I am having trouble breathing, my hands and feet went numb and I started shaking violently. My wife actually thought I was having a heart attack, and I thought I was dying. It turns out I was having an anxiety attack. I have never had one of those in my life. The next 2 months, I could not sleep and every day I would go through cycles of minor anxiety events, and in the same sequence every day. I was a vegetable, literally. My body was a mess, I had horrible headaches, and as time progressed I went from being woken up from violent shaking of my body like I was cold and shivering, to not being able to even fall asleep. I am not exaggerating when I say I literally did not sleep at ALL for 2 months. If I started to drift off, my body would jolt so violently that it would keep me from falling asleep. it did not matter where I was or what time of day it was, it was awful. I went through a TON of testing and nothing was found. My friend, who specializes in holistic medicine, told me I needed to test my adrenal functions. He administered the testing and as it turned out, my levels were literally off the charts. My adrenal glands were toast. I got on a protocol with my friend of supplements and also licorice, and within 2 weeks I was sleeping again. My system started to reset and I felt so much better. Sleep issues can be so many things, and mine was a breakdown from working way too much and the world going nuts. I got back to doing the thing I loved the most, golf, and started looking at life from a totally different lens. Life is wild, so make sure you take care of YOU, and keep BEING you. The rest falls into place, if you are patient. Always appreciate the content too, so thank you.
