We spend an hour with Andrew and find out exactly why he left Watchfinder - @AndrewMorganWatches Shownotes and details are at this link - www.scottishwa...
Nice to see someone in RU-vid watch world getting Andrew on following his momentous decision. Good luck Andrew, I'm looking forward to your future uploads.
I wasn't going to subscribe until you called the back of the watch "the tradesman's entrance" and it hit me as one of the funniest things i've heard in a long time.
It’s great to hear more about Andrew’s plans going forward, having watched with interest his video on moving out on his own. It’s intriguing to think about Andrew providing enthusiast feedback to brands. My own wish list of brands that are great but could likely benefit from this is: Grand Seiko, Glasshütte Original, JLC, and Breguet.
Many thanks for the great episode. I insist again that Grand Seiko is of desperate need for Andrew. I hope they don't miss him. Wish you both huge success Nizar
Very excited for Andrew, would imagine he will be in huge demand over the next few years. One quick question, who would be able to get away with watching a 50 minute interview under the pretence of dropping the kids at the pool?
Andrew Morgan is the Benedict Cumberbatch of the watch world. But... Doctor Strange is part of the watch world (JLC Ambassador), so maybe Andrew is the Benedict Cumberbatch of media world? My head hurts.
when an organization turned into absolute profit-oriented, the corporate culture changed. Jack Forster leaved Hodinkee, Andrew leaved Watchfinder. These big watch groups have to learn that the non-profit channel is used to reach out new audience / prospect buyer, maintain the community awareness in different watch brands, and hopefully stay as a long term customer. However, when the brand diversity no longer there, the master man leaved, and bias opinion focus on selling watches, it's likely kill the channel. A watch community can sustain a business easily at cheaper cost rather than spending extra dollar to lure new customer to buy your watch.
Andrews on a winning recipe i believe he obtains charisma of a likeable character which u cant fake or buy = he isnt forcin a plastic persona or pushin a cookie cutter watch review content channel...this interview is proof....nice casual vibes -jumpers & hoodies dress + humour (knowledge but minus the nerdy pretentious attitude) + no distracting back drop =just himself sharing a time piece & focsused macro shots purely on watch footage we all like to perv into from every angle as audience together as collective group of subscriber tribe without the sterile lecture or treatin audience as condescending but levelin out opinions via jokes to dissect methodically a watch.
That's okay Andrew left. Even on his own channel he's a bit grating to view with that constant "I-need-to-sell-this-to-you-immediately" delivery. He actually speaks normally in this interview and comes across as genuine. He should keep that in mind.
