The last four years have been amazing as I've been dedicated since the beginning to normalizing the Cuban experience to show the reality. The reality is both good and bad.

Yes, my life has been nothing but START OVERS, But nothing like you! I know nothing of your struggles as a Cuban American and I pray I never have to go through what you have. If any people deserve freedom, it's Cubans! I hope you see that the United States is going down the path Cuba did in the 50's. Please help us stop it.

Wow, the emotion. My wife grew up in communist Romania. Very much like Cuba, ( Romania has slightly improved since the revolution in 1989) She is very Thankful and got her US citizenship.

Ay pero por fin han llegado a RU-vid ❤️ You're Instagram has been such a big inspiration. I lived a year in Cuba 2015/2016, and it was the craziest most life-changing experience I've had in my life. When I came back from Cuba, I found your Instagram. It really helped me remember all the good and special aspects to Cuba, and you put it in a raw and real perspective - which I think is so important. I've been so tired of all the other boring Instagram accounts that only show pretty pictures, but you take up everything: the culture, language, politics, economics, race, sexuality, social life (y el chisme 😅) No other Cuban outside or inside Cuba would dare to do that, so being original and true to yourself and your content really fucking cool and brave. It is hard. I have realized that I have to leave the crime ridden blue city of my birth to migrate to a red state. Much like when my family had to leave Soviet controlled central Europe. I could never have imagined I would have to leave. I am glad my parents are not here to see this and go through it again. They had such love for and belief in the US.

I go and buy dry cat food...grapes..unsalted peanuts to feed our many racoons,deer,possums...plus bird seed...I have lots of recue cats and 2 dogs....love animals and thank God we have stores to buy all we need for our babies....love your videos...

I am very thankful for your videos. When I lived in Miami, all I ever heard from the right wing Cubans there was how exorbitantly rich and wonderful Cuba was before the revolution. Everybody had a finca. Based on all of their representations, it sounded like Cuba was an Australia sized Dubai before 1960 - totally a fantasy. From your videos I think I am seeing a much more balanced view of Cuba. Nobody wants to leave their country. There is always hope that things will improve. Therefore, your decision to leave must have been difficult and must be respected. There are still some good things going on in Cuba - for example, look at the Salsa schools in Havana and Santiago - real people have figured out a way to teach foreigners about their culture while able to earn some money not otherwise available in Cuba.

I met and fell over heels with a girl from Cuba I met in Havana while on vacation. She took me to her town of Camaguey where I asked her to marry me I told her that I would not return to California and work as a bicyi taxi driver. Unfortunately she met someone from Mexico and is now married.😔 I left my ❤️ in Cuba 🇨🇺

regarding a video that went private; the Cuban government SUCKS, the Cubano culture DOES NOT... I think that is what that Turning Point video you are refuting was saying exactly. I watched all of your videos and watched the one from turning point... and their point was exactly right, but so was your point as well (it's complicated). However there will NEVER be progress for the Cuban people until their government falls and gives all Cubanos individual God-given rights, aka inalienable rights, most importantly right to private property & ownership, freedom of all speech, and ultimate pursuit of happiness.

totally agree. I put that private because people were harassing me off the platform becasue of it. These videos are NOT about America or American political parties. TurningPoint had MANY things that were correct, but also carefulyl editted their video to fit their narrative.... I mean, luis, they said there werent any restaurants in Habana (el Vedado).... common. Theres one almost every corner. I like to give credit where credit is due, but these extremist points to fit one extreme narrative is harmful to the progress of those social rights we desperately want to see on our islita. Besos

Hi Michael. Thanks for.ypir commentary. My turning point video wasn't saying there isn't any of that. Of course there is. What I was trying to prove is there are many exaggerations on both sides, including their video (they showed no food.... There's food). It's important to always be balanced. And Cuba economic failures with socialism has crippled us.

I think the big point of your videos and turning points, and this is my own personal opinion is that its not about the love and humanity of the people of a country, it's about the government structure they have to deal with. Communism is a failed government structure and as you can see the infrastructure crumbles under it. But, communism cannot remove destroy or eliminate love of family, friends and neighbors and strangers. I detest communism and will die fighting it. But I will not hate a person people or families because they have to live under it. You show the personal side of Cuba, turning point was showing the political consequences of Cuban governmental policies. I hope you and Yoel enjoy your further life experiences in Yuma and have a great time.
