Hello! I think hair grease made a comeback in 2018. I started back using it at the end of 2019. My hair has never been better. I even put it on my edges and it's helped to thicken my edges. I love it.

Hello again. Yes I started using regular hair grease almost 3 years ago and it makes such the difference. Going back to what my mother did for my hair when I was little and it's growing so well. I use the one with castor oil. I love it!

I still just use Pink oil moisturizer but none of all that new stuff. Your right about the grease we used it when we were kids and always had healthy hair and scalps.

I grew up with Blue Magic, Royal Crown, Dixie Peach, and Glover's Mange. My mom had a special use for each one. She would press my hair, using the on the stove straightening comb with Royal Crown. Dixie Peach was for daily grooming. I wish it came in larger jar. Blue Magic was when we ran out of Dixie Peach. Glover's Mange was only on the weekends, because of the "smell". 🤢 Has anyone every heard of The House of Gayer hair products? I'm not sure if I've spelled the name correctly. Thanks for sharing. I must try the Aveeno shampoo. 💖👍💖👍💖👍💖👍

Amen I never stop and I am 60 years old my hair is thick and long Ultra Sheen hair blue or green I stuck with the old school it works ladies but not everybody want their hair to flow into bounds and that's good too

Lol!! My 44 year old daughter sent me some Ultra Sheen Blue "grease" - cuz she saw it and it reminded her of her childhood. I think it says 'conditioner' on the bottle, but it's straight up grease. .and that's what we used back in the day. Thanks for the memories.~~Your hair always looks groovy.......:)

I LOVE your vibe! 💕 I use grease mainly for this exact reason! I have WAAAAAAAAAY less fairy knots than I did all that time I went without grease. I have retained SO much length! Gotta get me some more! I use grease to seal in my leave in conditioner or curl creams 😊💕🥰

You have Beautiful hair:) Yes It's true Mz.Brazell , I tried so many natural hair products and it made my hair fall out. Growing up my Mama used Blue Magic on me and my sisters hair so I went back to that. Now my hair is healthier and I'm seeing growth so I will stick to what works for me. It's good stuff.

I went back to using Blue magic grease also. It does make your hair soft and to me my hair feels more conditioned.

Thanks have been having lots of trouble with knotting to. Use a satin bonnet or pillowcase. Not hair looking like the cat been licking it. Sis, you are a mess!!Thanks for being real.

Yes !!! I just purchased grease (same exact one). I was just spending so much on all kinds of hair products and my hair felt dry, fairy knots no matter what. I’m clarifying my hair today and then putting the old school grease in my hair just like my mom used to do for me.

It works I already have Blue Magic Hair Food almost gone it grows your hair I have Blue Magic Indian Hemp I have Blue Magic Blue Conditioner Hair Dress I have Blue Magic Tea Tree Oil Anti-Breakage Protein Complex Leave In Styling Conditioner My hair growing I am a senior citizen Hair Grease always grows hair My deceased mother was a licensed Cosmetologist She always after pressing our hair sometime during in between the weeks grease our very dry scalp Our hair was very thick Out hair was very very strong No perms No weave hair Just our own black natural hair We never ever wore any wigs or extensions or braids or lace wigs She would ace deep conditioning on our hair put a heating cap place saran clear wrap it the clear conditions clear store brought cap on our hair We would sit under the plug in the wall heating cap for at least 30 minutes then rinse that conditioner out My mother use Pro Con Plus in a tall green and white bottle it was a leave in conditioner Grease works I am a living witness as an example

I've recently gone back to using grease as well. Been natural over 10 years and my hair has NEVER been this moisturized. I saw all these RU-vidrs talking about doing our natural hair like our mothers did. Grease and water. My hair is in love with grease. I use the indian hemp and also have Kudzu and blue magic. My moms hair dresser loved softee. I'm grateful for grease lol.

There are times when the "TRIED & TRUE" methods work the best. Franky I'm hooked on "HAWAIIAN SILKY" products because they make very good products that can be used alone or mixed with other "leave-in" conditioners or a drop or two liquid oils such almond oil. My favorite clarifying shampoo and conditioner is Garnier Whole Blends Moroccan Argan & Camellia Oils. The accompanying conditioner is very good, too. Recently, I discovered Palmer's Shea Formula Moisture Repair Raw Shea Shampoo. It's a great shampoo that's free of sulfates, parabens, phthalates, mineral oil, gluten and dyes. It smells great and does an excellent job conditioning your hair and scalp.

I started back using hair grease about 3 years ago! My hair stayed so dry using natural hair products. Started using hair grease & it shines now. However I still struggle with fiary knots. My kids get fiary knots too!!

I have been having that exact same problem. I went natural 3 years ago after having a permanent or curl for 40 years and didn't understand why I am getting those knots at the end of my hair everytime I comb it. Thank you for the heads-up.

I never heard of fairy knots and for years I had the exact experience with my hair. No matter how much I clipped them they kept coming back until I started using hair grease again.
