Why I Started Praying the Rosary! (...and you should too!) 

I received a surprise visit from Mother Mary just after Easter of 2018, I was dizzy and was trying to get to the Doctor's office, all of a sudden I looked to my right and this beautiful young Lady all dressed in light blue was walking alongside me, she held my hand, smiled, laughed, and said come on let's go..we walked about 8 strides together and then she left, 3 days later Jesus healed me.

So, lemme be honest, it basically got me to desire to convert. I started learning it before the beginning of me starting RCIA. It made me feel better than anyone or anything had. I had never experienced this sort of peace and comfort before. I can't wait to be received into the church. God bless you all!

Fantastic video!! I’m a cradle Catholic and 🤦🏽‍♀️ I didn’t start praying the Rosary until THIS year. Sadly, I’ve always struggled w/ my relationship w/ Our Lady until the past few years. I think because of pushing Mary away for so long that contributed to my aversion to learning how (and why) to pray the rosary. Thanks be to God for blessing me w/ a faithful Catholic husband who has such love for Mary and through him I’ve been able to love our Lady and her rosary. We have been praying the rosary as a family every night after dinner since Lent started. I’m hoping that this routine of praying the rosary will enable me to be comfortable in praying the rosary alone after Lent. 🙏🏽

I was in the middle of life crisis when I was shown the rosary prayer. Shortly after I went to a Catholic stationary/ store and got me a rosary and a booklet of Catholic prayers and started praying the rosary daily. Then I attended the RCIA, and was confirmed on Easter vigil🙏

It is nice to hear the young ones these days going back to prayer,..... i remember back in 1970, i was going through a very bad time with panic attacks, i didn't know to handle them, all i was told that i needed medication and counseling, i even went to my local chapel at the time and asked a the priest for some hope, but all that i was told was seek medical advice...... later in 1987 i was still suffering panic attacks, i was with my x wife at the local town, and i saw a catholic shop that sold all kinds of books and rosaries and medals, i felt drawn to go in and look around, i went to the back of the shop, and i saw these books on Mother Mary, small books with Mary on the cover, something made me pick it up and look at the front and back cover, and i had a very strong feeling to buy this book, then i saw a blue rosary near by and my eyes was drawn to them, i bought them that day and did some other shopping that day before returning home.... that night after a meal, i went up to my room as i knew a panic attack was coming on and i didn't want my children seeing me in that panic state of shaking and trembling and being breathless of being choked......as i sat there on the bed, i opened the book of Mother Mary and read through each page as i was having my panic attack... and as i read the book i was asking my self deep inside if you are true Mother Mary, please help me and forgive my sins of my past.... i wasn't a practicing catholic at the time due to some things in my teenage years as boys at that age know..... any way i read the little blue book on Mother Mary and it spoke of praying the rosary and how to do the complete rosary in steps... so i started to do the rosary to Mother Mary that night....at first i felt nothing much... a little pace came into me... but many weeks later....one night i was sitting up in bed as i do when i go to bed.. due to panic attacks... i just lay there as my wife fallen asleep and our kids are in the other rooms... all of a sudden...this glow came into our room....and it lit up all the room....and my eyes saw Mother Mary standing at the base of my bed.... she had the most wonderful smile i have ever seen in my life... she was the most beautiful woman i have ever met.... and i knew from that moment who she was...Mother Mary the devoted Mother to Jesus Her Beloved Son....i turned to my wife who was sleeping at the time and that i know she is a lite sleeper in all the years i have known her... so i shook her hard to wake her up and she never stirred... i shook her again and again and no response... Mother Mary said "Do not worry for your wife is in a deep slumber and no harm has become her.... so i called out to my children in the next rooms... no one of them came through...Mother Mary said "They too are in a deep slumber also and no harm has come to them".... i said to Mother Mary... why have you come to me... for i am a sinner and done much wrong in my life, many good people have gone to chapel and churches every week without fail and they are more deserving than me to see you...Mother Mary smiled at me and said...My Dear son...do you not understand that what you hold deep inside you is more dear that why is outside you, i know your heart better than you do, since when you where child you believed in my Son Jesus you held that close to your heart....a prayer with true heart and loving towards my Son is very important...many lack that in them, their hearts are stone and seek material things of this world they see the image of the Sacred Heart but they do not come in a true heart...first they must repent all their sins and forgive those who have sinned against them and truly mean that from a true heart for that is more important....Mother Mary spoke to me on many things that night and it was so very loving to see her for real and not just an image in the chapel when i was a young lad....Mother Mary parting words to me was "My Dear Son I Am Your Mother Now and Who Ever You Touch They Shall Know" and also said " Be not concerned of the flesh for that is here on earth for a short time, but be concerned of the soul for that is eternal and lives for ever....and just at that point Mother Mary raised her hands towards me and smiled...then light came out from Her heart and hands and came flowing over to me in my bed, and floods of tears came down my cheeks like a river....i have never in all my life felt a love like that ever as long as breath in this world, is was a live of a mother love for her first born child but a million times fold or more but words alone can not express it nor can understand the true meaning of Heavenly love....i have tried explaining to many people over a 36yrs now of that visitation of Mother Mary to me that night... it did not go down to well with many... i was called crazy, not all there and needed medical help and even someone of the cloth said the same thing.. i have been to see many different councilors in my early years but they could not give any advice on the matter... all i know that night back in 1987 was so very true and real...i will never let it go from me ever...i will say to anyone who reads this message...be of a true heart and soul for the Lord Jesus, you cant hide from His truth and He will know if you speak the truth of Him...for you are a child of the God love Him with a true heart and forgive those who have hurt you in the past and repent for all that you have done since your childhood till now, please do not hold back anything or you will hold back Grace and forgiveness...bless you Dear Ones....here is a link to an image mega.nz/file/AxgjDQiA#LSMIg-hWEv4Nrh0obFx3rAx4nEgJ1q4-2oena9dGhVE

I have been praying the Rosary everyday For the last year!!! I truly helped my mental health and I now have peace and joy!!! I can’t start my day without it!! God bless you!!! One more thing .... I am a cradle Catholic too but I didn't start praying the rosary until I was in my late 30s. I know I know! 😂 My parents only prayed the rosary when someone passed away but I always wanted to learn. I have a little story to tell about my rosary and mass that I follow on Radio Maria(Albania). Every single time that I am following mass or the rosary it gets interrupted. I truly think it's the devil wanting to stop me from listening and just give up but honest to God,this happens on a daily basis. I sometimes feel frustrated from that but then I quickly think it's the devil doing that and I reopen the app again each time that happens. Every single day. I am 62 years old and I have prayed the rosary daily since my mom had a conversion experience when I was a teenager. Last year I rediscovered the Flame of Love Rosary, which, since the outbreak of the war, I started praying earnestly! And today, I said it, at the same time kissing the crucifix four or five times per prayer. My eyes were flooded with tears. I had never prayed in such a way previously. So, even though I am an old hand, there are many elevated ways of praying it. It takes a bit of humility, for instance, my mind would think: "these lips of mine are so quick to condemn others, God, Jesus, Mary, please accept these prayers from such defiled lips!" "Forgive me!" I believe these ways of saying the rosary is very edifying and healing. Another way I discovered is to imagine that the Blessed Virgin is standing right in front of me! How would I react if she really appeared to me as she has to others? Just because I am blind to her presence does not mean she is not there! When we say the rosary, we are holding her hand.

I've learned the Rosary almost 2 years ago, i've suffered enough that all help i can have is to learn to Pray The Rosary, i bought a Rosary and waited for a Priest to Blessed it, due to infidelity of my Wife i cling to the only strenght i can have, there is no divorce here in Phillipines just like in Vatican, through hurt i am strong, as of now my 12 year old daughter burrowed my Rosary and She's Praying for her mommy, my wife and i did not talk however i still Pray for her despite her Cheating, i am falling inlove in my Catholic Faith and that makes me Strong Viva Cristo Rey

You are so true about holding the rosary giving you peace and security. There was a great story of an African Clergyman who was in adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and all of a sudden he saw the Lord standing before him. He had a sword and held out the handle to the clergyman to take it, when he took it, the sword turned into a rosary in his hand. It is an incredibly powerful WEAPON against the forces of darkness. Another great slogan I like was on a bumper sticker: "Angry? Pray the Rosary." If you see an injustice, have a cause, or are just upset at the state of things, pray the rosary for those intentions. If all American Catholics prayed the Rosary regularly than our country would change dramatically for the better.

That's a very beautiful realization, that our lives don't change, the challenges and temptations do not change as a consequence of living in this broken world. (As a consequence of being broken by original sin) But praying the Rosary helps ease that and as you said "it helps you deal with your problems objectively". Plus, our dear Lady, the mother of God, obtains for us the graces we need to overcome these temptations and difficulties. One of the great joys I've recently experienced in my period of desolation, is the joy of offering my pain, my loneliness, and my worries in union with our Lord's Passion and Death, through the Rosary. It consoles His most Sacred Heart, and in turn, because of our faith, our Lord will give us peace.

I really enjoyed this lovely video! I have that exact pamphlet and it's excellent. I've been part of a weekly rosary prayer group for awhile, but had not been praying the rosary daily. Then recently, I got such a strong feeling that Our Lady wanted me to pray the rosary daily (as she asked us to do at Fatima), and so I began doing it every day. I can't begin to describe how good I've been feeling since I started praying the rosary daily. Much more calm and peaceful! Of late I've been praying with rosary videos by Fr. Scallon and Dana, they are really beautiful and it's been deepening my rosary experience. I highly recommend them to anyone who loves to pray the rosary, or for those just starting to get into it. There are alot of techniques taught in Buddhist & Hindu mantra rosary practice. However I have to admit, the Catholic version of the rosary is pretty sophisticated and there are many ways you can divide up the sections for a complete spiritual practice.

Well guess what, I was born and raised Catholic and just turned 60 and I have only started praying the Rosary the past couple of years!! Sad isn't it? I wish I would have learned more about how great the Rosary is years ago, like in Catholic School - it DOES give you peace!! Sometimes I think Converts to Catholicism have more knowledge about the Church than those of us who are cradle Catholics!!

Since I was a kid my parents, specially my mom, taught me how to pray the rosary. I take seriously my faith, I love being a catholic and everything around it. I'm just kind of... Lazy to pray the rosary, I know it's good, it's powerful against the devil and temptations, I'm just struggling with praying :( I get distracted, unmotivated and everything and I just don't pray. There's no room for error saying the rosary it's very simple if you need a pamphlets you're not a strong Catholic you should have been taught this by your parents as a very young child.. the rosary from cradle to grave.!
