Wow! I'm pleasantly surprised. Spectrasonics rarely does promos or sales. It's super cool that you were able to do this! I've had this library for a long time and use it somewhat regularly. I like that they just are "ready to go". Every time I see a video on Keyscape, I find myself wondering why I don't use it more... ...Especially some of the creative library stuff within Omnisphere. Great video!

MORE Keyscape .......... well, never can get enough of this fab VSTi by Eric & the team!! Great playing as always The Bearded One....err.... MORE plz!! 😎👊🎹🎵💥
I'm trying to keep my macbook battery life at its peak, do you leave yours plugged in at 100% continuously or run keyscape and others on battery alone sometimes? I know, weird question lol Amazing videos as always, listening while at work.
Good question. Leaving it unplugged to preserve battery life isn't practical when running these softwares, it'll just drain in a hour or two and you forget it wasn't plugged in. And the docking station I have constantly charges. I don't think the hassle of worrying about this all the time is worth the negligible time it might buy you towards the end of the life cycle.
use ''andante'' for mac. you can stop charging and use only with battery. I stop charging at 60% no heating issues. also it has heat protection option in full version . when the battery heat exceeds predescribed degree it stops charging
@@SamTheBeardGuy You're right, it's the E-Piano 1 but Keyscape doesn't get it quite right. Then again, I haven't played a real MKS-20 in 30 years or so. I probably remember it sounding better then it did. But my teacher back in the days owned one and had tweaked the sounds quite a bit. I simply loved that thing for that one sound like I loved his TX-802 for the FM e-piano. After all, those were the originals you heard on every record back then. For me, the highlights of Keyscape are the Rhodes (all of them), Wurlitzer and the CP. And I have a special soft spot for the LA Custom Rhodes. That modified Rhodes sound has been giving me shivers everytime I hear it for decades now. It never gets old. It's the perfect balance of clarity, warmth and that Rhodes magic. I will never own an original but Keyscape is as close as you can get to the real thing.
I have yet to splurge on Keyscape and Omnisphere2 - I used to have Atmosphere from way back and loved it! "One day" I tell myself...I'm a sucker for keyboard VSTs.
Sam, Man I love the sound of Keyscape but I cannot get the velocity to feel right. I am playing a Yamaha MX88. Any help on how to approach the velocity settings in keyscape would be helpful. Pianoteq seems right to me with no adjustments. I'm very frustrated.
This is one feature I wish Keyscape had like Pianoteq does, being able to record your velocity and it map the curve for you. I wish I had an easier answer. I roll off a little top end on my velocity curve, but that's about it. Maybe research the action of the mx88 and keybed and see which one of the presets it most closely resembles, the start from there.
Hey Sam let me just start by saying you're amazing and thank you for sharing your gift and knowledge with us. I wanted to know if you don't mind what keyboard do you use ? I'm debating on buying a Nord or just a Midi Keyboard and using Keyscape (I own the Motif ES8) but looking to upgrade. What would you suggest ? Thank you!
Depends on what genre you're playing. For all the worship stuff I do, you just need a midi controller. If you're doing a lot of live stuff and don't want to mess with the laptop, Nord. Most VSTs are going to sound better than onboard pianos, it's just a matter of if you want to deal with setting up a laptop or not.
@@SamTheBeardGuy Thank you so much, I do mostly worship stuff and I don't mind setting up the laptop. One last question what would your recommendation on a good weighted Midi Keyboard or which one are you using on this video (most of your videos)
which 88 key midi keyboard of electric keyboard with midi functionality would you choose? i had eye on roland fp-10 and using it as midi for keyscape. which one do you use?
Damn, Sam, i just bought Keyscape a few months ago. Would have been a pleasure to use your code and help out. I hope many people buy it using your code. You definitely deserve it. Great video as usual! I would feel very bad for any developer that doesn't have their programming and samples well done/recorded. With your level of skill, any piano vst that isn't at least decent would get exposed really quickly.
I am! I have been using mostly for Lo-Fi and R&B, along with Noire which i still love. The only thing that i ( and many people i have heard talk about Keyscape) am missing is another grand piano. Maybe a Steinway or a Bösendorfer. I think it would be very welcomed and would make this library truly complete. That's a minor complaint tho. The C7 is very versatile. But since Spectrasonics has the habit of spoiling us, i'm crying like a spoiled brat for another grand piano lol
