That’s cap at least for me, no one every tries to get open. I did get drafted to Philly tho. They lacked offense back then so every game I have to score 50 or more.
@@trenchezzbabyvon8312 Philly is unplayable in the game with the default roster. I now play for them, but they have several top tier generated players on top of Nerlens Noel actually playing to his potential. (87 ovr)
He could've passed to Howard in the last seconds and the AI would have shot the ball. In 2k23 they pass it to you again or just starts dribbling until they make and ugly shot

Definitely feels more human than the new ones. Not just in the animations but the movement is not robotic and actually looks like how someone would play. To think they release the same game year after year and they couldn't keep the solid foundation they had since like 2k11

nba 2k14 next gen MC will always hold a special place in my heart, i still play it during the dead season of whatever 2k is out rn because its just so much fun
agreed . at this point the game only lacks new rosters , But the gameplay holds up amazingly (especially with plays automatically running and not just spamming pick n roll !)
Dont even get e started on 2k14 fun, I mean we got the vc glitch which is when u get a F rank have your vc below 0 or 0 and foul out, but dont have any points or assist I got a steal but it didnt affect my vc glitch. And 2k14 fun has crazy dunks too.
Teammates could hit shots, I could make shots enjoy the game straight up. Not to mention each stadium had its own lighting which is non-existent in the games made currently. 2Ks biggest downfall was EA not making Live to give 2K a reason to be actually good.
EA sports games r all unplayable garbage unless u like opening packs invented to give kids a gambling addiction, 2k has problems but its offline modes r amazing, just look at madden franchise compared to MYNBA,
@@keithrich4209 I don’t buy the game every year & I can’t imagine why anyone would buy sports games annually lol, usually every 2-5 years for me depending on how much they change, 2k has a single mode with packs & it’s shit just like MUT but I’m saying that’s all Madden has to offer, there is no competent game mode in madden without child gambling, here’s another example, in 2k play now u can choose to play as classic teams with old HOF players right, well Madden has NFL HOF players too… but only in Ultimate team, they intentionally removed the all time great team for years just to funnel more players into MUT, they had a good franchise mode that they stripped bare so they could funnel people into MUT too, I’m defending 2K for being a competent video game, 2k didn’t remove/cripple their own offline modes & they actually improve them year over year, I don’t think EA can’t make a competent sports game although I’m not a FIFA guy so maybe they do better with that game but I doubt it
This is what I love about this game, it's so easy to get assists and rebounds because your teammates will actually imitate the plays and run around for open looks.
I was given 2k14 for the 360 a few weeks ago and now it's my new favorite game. Still trying to learn everything about it, but it is so good. Go Pistons!
@@cammmend6046 Pros and Cons on both! I love that the GM approaches you mid year and you can select potential trade candidates! I was drafted PG to the clippers, but Paul was moved to SG (not optimal). I had him traded to HOU for James Harden! What a roster! Had to retire it because I was too addicted. I regret that now!
I just started my career. I got drafted as PG by the Knicks and I'm only a couple games in. But I ran a whole regular season on pro with the pistons and lost during the eastern conference finals to the bulls. So addicting and great gameplay.
2k14 on ps4 n xbox one is still probably the greatest version of 2k having almost 10 years of hindsight to use to compare n 10years before it came out. I long the day iCan reup on one of them systems just to play it. I got a gaming laptop so iBeen heavy on that but this to me was the greatest 2k in terms of the things iAppreciate the most in a basketball sim.
2k13 was cool but they had a bunch of trash animations and dunks were basically not able to be blocked. Once you got in the dunk animation it basically couldn’t be stopped
@@brandonreed3670 That's when you learn how to play smarter defense. Try to steal the ball when they go for the layup/dunk motion. Always stay right in front of them and give them no room to operate. 2K13 made me better at defense.
@@comicsans1689 you can learn how to play defense and exploit stuff in any game. Doesn’t change the fact that the animations in there were unrealistic bullshit.
@@comicsans1689 Nah bro, dunk animations were completely OP no matter how good someone was, I used to drop like 45 a game with Dominique Wilkins just by holding R2 + Square and no one could really do anything
NBA 2k13 was my first game. Started watching NBA thanks to D-Rose at that time. None of the new games come close to it despite being way newer. 2K just stopped trying... just like EA with FIFA or Madden.
Honestly I've just been playing 2k14 while constantly modding the rosters to its latest real life counterpart and it is fantastic. My friends come over and we play all the time and they don't complain about it, the game was just great.
I still play 2k14 (pc version sadly) and i love it. Played 2k21 but it wasn't that fun tbh. Plus: by turning off their servers i lost mycareer player... i was so pissed.
Im still playing this, and with modding makes this game so much better. Playing MC with 2023 roster crashes sometimes if you use HD players and modded scoreboard tho. Still playable with default modded scoreboard and SD players.

Still the best and last good one. The only thing i would change is limit in the badges and i love the idea of working for the badges like in 2k16 and 15. If that was added and then roster updated people would download it
I bought a used 2k14 ps4 disc and play it on my ps5. I don’t even own the newer 2ks and it’s more fun to just commit to one player and build it up. Plus 2k14 has better lighting
I still play 2k16 all the time and haven’t touched a new one since 2k20. They cpu just gets dumber every single game and they usually make playing consistent defense impossible. Is it perfect? No, but its damn sure a lot better than what they give us these days.
How does it compare to 2k15? I used to play 2k15 for a while and that game i like better than the new ones because at least you can play MyCareer Mode offline without the game forcing you to play online.
The main difference is the shooting release but they’re pretty similar games. Both have lots of replay value offline. Haven’t played 15 in a while though so perhaps someone could give a more detailed answer
2K15 had better graphics and more advanced gameplay. Using "shot meter" to adjust timing of the shoot. Offline MyCareer mode is the best mode of this game. And the story in MyCareer, for me it's better than NBA 2K16. In 2K15, you started as an undrafted player in your first season and going step up to be the legend, while in 2K16 you officially start the game in your 2nd season as an NBA player. And 2K15 still has Nike Dunk calculator. The negative things of 2K15 are no free throw shot meter, dumb teammate's AI when playing in higher difficulty, and force close when doing Slam Dunk Contest (I just called it a "bug").
@@greekfreak1138 My fault. I compare NBA 2K15 with NBA 2K14 last gen. According to this video, NBA 2K14 next gen has better graphic quality, but same gameplay mechanics from the last gen. Noob-friendly NBA game IMO.
Why tf do the teammates in 2k23 not reach to loose balls or rebounds.. or help on defense if your man gets passed you.. like they used to in earlier 2k's?!!??! So frustrating, and every shit has to be perfect to go in it's ridiculous

ya SP glitch is get an F teammate grade in a key game ; accessories are unavailable since servers went down as far as I know. Unless u had them equipped before servers went down. I had them on , but accidentally deleted the cookies on the game or some shit so I got reset to brown shirt.
I played nba2k since 2k9 Up to 2k23 2k14 Was the perfect game Everything in nba2k14 feels more alive the animations were very good graphics were perfect for the time and still holding up in 2023 nba 2k14 would always be the best basketball game. last best nba 2k was nba 2k17 some people say nba 2k19, But my opinion 17 was absolutely the last fun good legendary 2k game, now the 2k games are made for people that are willing to spend hundreds of cash , its insane...but anyway. the reason why 2k17 was the last decent 2k after 2k16, was bc since people complain about the game, 2k laid out the devs and had new devs create a new engine for 2k18, they said it, and thats all she wrote, complaining too much can ruin futures for a franchise instead of giving credit on certain aspects we liked
