Why I stopped collecting Lego 

In my opinion that is a good thing Micah you don't need Lego to have a lego channel,you do you man, love your content regardless.

Don’t feel like you have to buy sets, I understand the budget constraints but also I haven’t bought a lego set in about year, I still love lego and the community but I just haven’t bought a set bc I either don’t want them or they’re too expensive. TL;DR Don’t feel like you have to keep buying new sets just because you run a lego channel.

Good for you though doing something you love even though it's taking awhile it will workout but you need to keep working on it I hope you can buy your own house soon though I know you may not be a Christian but I will pray for you that you can start making money on this channel too and keep up the good work on the streams and videos

Keep your head up man 👍 this might sound harsh, but making content full time is hard and admittedly not for everyone (plus, it should be enjoyable). Not a criticism of your channels or videos, just an observation of how the content grind is. I freelance for plenty of other clients along with making my own content. Maybe switch up pricey haul videos for MOC content or set mod videos using stuff you own already. At the end of the day there's no shame in taking a job, making ends meet and working within your budget. Good luck man!

I quickly learned to buy only the things I really want! Mainly sets from bricklink, some friends line and occasionally Lego ideas sets. My Max is £200 or under

It’s so expensive man! I rarely buy sets anymore. I just build with the pieces I have.

I can relate, man. I still buy a LEGO set now and then, but only ones that catch my attention like Speed Champions cars, certain Star Wars, and Batman sets if they ever get made. Any other time I'll buy LEGO will be minifigure parts for stop motion animations. Anyway, don't feel obligated to buy LEGO if it isn't in your budget, but hopefully you're able to monetize this channel too. It will give you an opportunity to make building streams again! Whatever happens, focus on what's needed to grow your business, maybe implementing a reason to buy LEGO sets. Anyways, good luck with that!

I mean I don’t blame you. It’s tough to stay into LEGO / collect when prices are extremely high. I’ve come to the point where even when I find deals on sets I want, I can’t look and justify many of the sets still. I have only purchased maybe 4 sets in 3-4 months and that’s only because of Kohl’s cash / extreme deals on Facebook Marketplace. I don’t really even do LEGO videos anymore because of those reasons. Times are tough but you’re in a pretty great spot for where you’re at.

You know there is something else you can do instead and it's something I figured out since the brickToons ensure you might have seen videos of people trying to connect it together but I feel like they've gone in an all wrong it isn't just the games being its own thing or the shows and movies being Their Own no it's all connected because it's all Lego in the main thing they say is oh The Lego Movie is a child's imagination what do you think about it a bit more it isn't really a child it's all of the real world let me explain first of all the second movie we see that his sister also is of this and also Thursday in the Lego Ninjago movie which again is is of stuff of the Lego verse and besides it doesn't really make any sense that it's only the child that is of the Lego world and so here's the thing about The Lego Movie it connects together pretty much everything you know not only that but the MCU is likely connected to the world of the Lego movies because of the Star Wars Lego set and that with the areas seen in homecoming the Ninjago movie and Lego Movie those are probably certain points of the different Lego areas because the MCU is of Lego Star Wars that area is of Lego Ninjago and the kids house is of The Lego Movie etcetera and I believe that the Lego verse essentially absorbs the real world it's basically a black hole World a zorbing stuff of movies and other stuff into its own Mass world along with the stuff of the zero point because yes fortnite is connected to this and if you don't know 0 point is the core of it all and Lego Dimensions essentially shows that the dimensions are essentially of the individual worlds can you get the point there's a lot more to this big Lego Universe and I honestly don't know if I should just go into all this or what

I haven't bought LEGO in a long time either, it sucks lol

You need to worry about your responsibilities and not disappointing RU-vid viewers. A grown man living with their parents out of financial necessity is homeless. Get your priorities straight. You should be working at least 60 per week at a job that pays a wage while your parents allow you the opportunity to live with them. Your budget should consist of only necessities. No money should be spent on clothing or entertainment. The larger the percentage earmarked to savings makes living under your parents roof less comfortable motivating you to reach your goal while shortening the time to reach the goal. Buy a home in need of repair. Once you have moved in all free time can be spend repairing the home and developing a real pride of ownership that fleeting hits of dopamine buying toys may give you. It’s time to grow up. Healthy young men should not be homeless sleeping in their childhood bedrooms buying toys regularly. The home will ground you and get you ready to start a family and and build a life. After your children grow up and the house is paid off you will have the time and finances to buy Lego or whatever hobby you want.
