I clicked on this by accident-but this turned out to be one of the better videos that I’ve seen on RU-vid. This was so interesting and informative. I would also say that calling a lot in the beginning, although better than texting, is not as necessary either. As one lady said-go for the slow burn 🔥 and build an authentic connection.

The older I get, I’ll be 30 in less than a week, the more useless texting doesn’t do it for me. I’ve been feeling myself becoming less prone to texting since about 26. Ugh, I hate the "hi" "hi" "sup" type of convos, they go nowhere. Every single time I've encountered this conversation it fizzles out within a couple of replies, and then the person starts it up all over again the next day or the day after that. It's mindnumbingly dull and it doesn't seem to matter if you actually give any response worth responding to, they're not gonna make any effort to keep the convo going. And I honestly feel they are wasting my time by making me read their one-word messages.

Also no king phone calls . 5 minutes max especially if they haven’t offered to take you out. I’m not playing . You got 24 hours to ask me out. Period

I am so glad that the younger generation is finally seeing. What I have been saying for years. I tell a man straight up. I do not text. If you can not call me and have a convo. I am not interested. I don’t text. I’m mainly an in-person kind of friend/boyfriend. I get a ton of flak from friends for not texting all the time, until we hangout and we have a great time connecting. Texting, personally, is so unfulfilling for the relationships I have in my life. When setting up dates on dating apps, my sole goal is to get their schedule and plan a date. I hate getting to know someone over text, then meet them in person for them to be two different personalities. I’m glad this is finally becoming a thing.

Another thing ladies . Have a roster 3-5 men at a time. Obviously you don’t sleep with any of them. Prioritize them according to effort. Whoever is giving the most effort through actions then that’s who gets your time the most … not all of it now but most of the time

I don’t like texting or talking via phone too much between dates. I don’t need to speak to someone every day especially before the 3rd or 4th date. I think men are trying to replace dates with texting: pretending they care about you with their mindless drivel in order to save $ on possible dates or anything else that they might have to spend money or effort related to you/other girls & want to replace that with: "Good morning!", "What's up?" and "How're you doing?" Some guys will literally try to take it right from the annoying, boring texting phase all the way to the "hanging out" phase or whatever it's called where they sit right next to you or across the room from you & stare at you & try to bore or pressure you into giving them free sex, etc. for no good reason. I just recently cut off a guy for this very reason…I work overnight,so I’m asleep during the day,why are you constantly calling/texting ALL DAY and you know I’m sleeping? The guy in the yellow shirt is spot on. It’s all about the intention. A guy can pick up the phone and call, and he can talk your ear off for two-three hours, falling asleep in the middle of it. I literally had a dude waste my time this way for three years until I got fed up and blocked him completely. He’d be drinking beer, and getting high as he called me. His speech was hard to understand to begin with because of the southern country-boy accent that was very thick, but when he was messed up on substances and booze, he’d slur his speech even more and 70% of the time I had no idea what he was even saying to me over the phone. He wanted to take me out on a date at some local diner, but only if I first spent my money and flew across the country to his state, paid for my own uber to get get to his house, had seggs with him, and afterwards he’d introduce me to his drug-addicted sister and take me out for a date. This guy thought I was extremely desperate and dumber than a box of rocks. And why did he think that? Well, because a woman of high standards would have blocked this fool a million years ago! If you’re not calling to ask me out on a real date, when you are in my town or close by, then don’t call me. What the F is this? The phone line for sh!t-faced dudes to air out their fantasies? So true when I met my ex he texted me good morning beautiful every morning. Barely texted me after he got off work. Then he would call when he wanted to see me. I wanted to be loved so much that even when it bothered me I kept talking to him. Got into a relationship and found out after 5 years, moving in with each other, an engagement, and moving to another state together. He was still with his bm and she was totally ok with being the side woman 🤦🏽‍♀️.

Omg this came at the PERFECT time!!! I'm just getting back out into dating and met someone while out and about earlier this week and yesterday we set up a date. When I tell you I got so annoyed with him trying to keep texting and acting all cutesy BEFORE the date! Like I don't care about some words, I'll see you at the restaurant and I'll let your actions speak for you. I kept my answers polite but curt and necessary to date details but at one point had to just be like "well I'm busy right now but I'll see you there!" and stop responding lol. I hate texting in general too and I hate the false "cutesy" feelings men try to garner with all the unnecessary texting and faux bonding. I prefer calling or meeting in person. It's more genuine.

I hate small talk about nothing of value or substance. Had to cut off a guy quickly who wanted to talk every night for 45 min plus like we don’t have jobs or things to do.
