In this video I talk about why I switched from Fujifilm XT-4 into the Panasonic Lumix system. Please feel free to comment what system you are using and why you've chosen it. FUJFILM X-T4 Filmmaking
Do I have it right that you still use the S1? After I upgrade this summer to a newer Lumix body, I was thinking of getting the S1 as a second photo camera, because of the ergonomics. Does the AF hold its own in photo?
I did the same thing... X-T4 to the S5ii. I still have the S5ii, use it for both photo + video BUT, I also double backed and picked up an X-T5 lol. There's just several things I love about shooting photos on Fuji, that nobody else has.
Love this! I bought an S5iiX yesterday (on sale), I have had a Xpro2/35mm 1.4 set up, I will not sell that. Excited about the new Lumix chapter still love Fuji for stills
Thanks for the great content! Is the S5II travel friendly as compared to the Fuji XT4? S5II has a pretty dope student discount but I am afraid that it will be bulky for daily carry.
Yes the S5ii is more bulkier and heavier than xt4. My current setup is S5ii with sigma 16-28 and 28-70. If you don’t need to record long form interviews and do not need dual sd card slot I would suggest the lumix s9 for daily use.
Nice video, thanks. I have an x-t3 and was thinking of upgrading to an x-h2s but with all the focusing issues they’re having with the latest firmware it’s got me rethinking that. Now I was looking at the Nikon z6iii vs s5ii. I’m not sure which way to go. They’re both good cameras. Cheers
I didnt go for the fujifilm but i went for an original S5, am i still onto a winner? It seems i cant apply the live luts or anything etc as that's in the S5 II.
Hey, thank you for your comment! I have tested the XH2S in a store for 5 minutes and I found none of these points were fixed. I don't know what firmware the gear was. I have been using the S5II for a few months now and there are even more things that I prefer on the Lumix. However, I really do miss the aesthetics of the silver body of the xt4. What are you using?
@@jonathanscheurichit depends on the lens that is being used with the camera. The only lenses that don’t have any exposure changes while zooming are the 16-55 and 18-120 and they have to have latest firmware
It’s not exactly the same as with the Fuji. I loved the Fuji x weekly recipes. However, you can shoot photos in VLOG and apply a LUT directly in camera by default. This gives similar results. Especially with the phantom luts.
So I went from the xt3 to the s5ii…. But I am thinkong about going for the xh2s because somehow I like fuji better (some irrational reason since the lumix is the better camera on paper.) what about weight/ lenses? Why didn‘t you consider the xh2s?
I feel you there. I miss Fuji so much. The black and silver aesthetics is just something else. However I also fell in love with the full frame super wide angle look. I got the sigma 16-28 for the lumix and it’s my go to lens. It’s just a super unique look you get with 16mm lens on full frame. I don’t know about the weight but it was kinda similar between xt4 + 16-55 and S5ii + 24-70.
