Its around the 20th week of kbm that the frustration comes in hard, im on that week and let me tell you that from the 20th to the 25th week of kbm you will feel more demotivated than ever because no matter how much you practice, you will make barely any practice, this is because this is the exact same skill level as controller, so therefore it is harder to improve, just practice consistently, take consistnent 10-20 min breaks to spend time with family, friends and especially pets, I wish for all the best of all you fellow grinders, good luck, your time is now
wow! your story is just so inspirational, I've been wanting to become a hybrid player (people who can play controlled and keyboard and mouse well on games) and this has just boosted my motivation to a whole nother level
Every detail on this video was spot on. For me it was a pretty hard journey to get good on keyboard and mouse. I started playing on kbnm for abt 2 months and then I broke my arm so I couldn’t play for like a month and a half. Played for 8 months and then broke my arm. I was playing on console by this time but after a couple of weeks I bought my pc on august 2020.
This video inspires me because when you said if keep going back to controller and keep switching back and forth, its going to ruin your muscle memory and your progression to become a good keybaord and mouse plaery will be much slower if you keep switching back and forth. thanks for your advice. when i am a really good keyboard and mouse player one day, im gonna thank you a lot
this is the same thing with me when I was on controller I was a god then knew I had a disadvantage so every once and a while I would try it then when I did I would get destroyed but then one day when my controller died I started practicing more and more by the day and became the kbm and mouse player I am today
When i was kid, i played all games on kbm now i can't play on controller . I prefer kbm but.. i want to say one thing that. If u're playing on kbm ur body posture should always be on agressive mode.. on the other side controller is easy and comfortable. And one more thing im not playing on any expensive kbm im using dell wired mouse and dell slim keyboard thats it..
Your story inspires me. i play on controller on ps5 but I still feel like pc is the way to go. I asked my dad for a pc as a early Christmas present but he told me I should just wait till Christmas and focus on school. It kinda sucks with Christmas being like 5 months away but I have a budget keyboard and mouse and I’m gonna grind these next five months.
@@thefishguyflipper1285 that’s what I’m doing rn until I’m able to get a pc I’m not saying I’m not grateful for a ps5 but with a pc I would be able to get more frames and be able to do more things
that origin story really got me motivated to stay on kbm because a couple of times i would sneak on controller and i was horrible but since i switched so many times between the two i just got worse but now i got way better and hope to grind better placements in tournes
This is so true because I was on controller and I switched and it’s just amazing 🤩 you improved every day and here is some advice play with people better than you you may not think your getting better but you are
I can’t wait to switch to Ps5 because I’m on Nintendo switch and 30fps kinda sucks and on top of that I’m always lagging so maybe when I switch I won’t lag because I’ll have more FPS. P.S cool video never stop grinding
All kbm players cry over controller players having aim assist, now its on a verge of extinction because they also removed legacy settings and that was the strongest point of controller players
My first kb and mouse was like $20 together. Now I got a GK61 and I am about to get a Razer Deathadder Essential because of how my grip is. I am about to start working for my PC, rn I am on PS4 practicing everyday on kbm. I haven’t picked up my controller in a week because I am committed for the switch. These are my current binds, I use Q for my ramp, Bottom Side button for my wall, C for my cones, V for my floors. 1 for my pickaxe, then 2 for my AR, 3 for sniper/smg, and 4 for my shotgun. Then I use Left Ctrl for my 5th slot and Top Side button for my 6th slot. E to edit. Scroll Wheel up to interact. X for my traps.
Everyone that has played controller has thought of switching at some point and those (like me) that hav started switiching can relate to this so much. Nice vid
I've been playing controller for 4 years, and i'm super good, but I'm getting kind of bored of the game. Starting Christmas when i get a kbm, a desk, and a monitor, I'm going to start kbm for a fresh start.
That's actually inspirational I'm someone just like you switching to kbm and leaving controller. I hit a bunch of trick shots on kbm today so I think I'm starting to get better thx for the story g, also do you stream on twitch or just youtube
I enjoyed the story & just so happens my son is making the change from controller to keyboard and mouse.Shockingly he's doing much better than I ever expected to only be a week into this transformation. I know I'll never be a top player with my controller but honestly I could care less.the whole reason I started playing fortnite was to be able to spend time with my kids.I am a long time call of duty player so I just try to keep my fights at a bit of a distance & i fare pretty well. Best of luck to ya young man & I hope you bring home the cup some day.
So insiprational! Funnily I switched a few weeks before you but I was on a laptop 60hz and still am but with a gk61 and logitech mouse, I used to use an office mouse btw. I'm still on my laptop with 60hz but it doesn't stop me, I also switched to pc from nintendo switch so it was a good choice since I got used to keyboard in like a week or 2, now I am also extremely bad on controller, I might buy a good controller some time and try to get good at it
Started on console w/ controller then started playing kbm on the PlayStation and then for Christmas of like 2017 or 2018 I got fortnite on it and played controller for a little bit and felt like I was capped as well then ended up switching and I was way too determined to get better I started getting bored switched to valorant as well got bored and now I’m here! Thank you for reading this and keep on going
vermax ! love this video, i'm switching to keyboard and mouse because i'm also feeling capped ! i want to get better ! thank you so much for putting this video out ! much love!
I was a controller player when i started and it was impossible. I got used to it and when I got a pc I was terrible! But like you, I grinded and now... i'm better than I ever was.
I might be getting a 144 hertz monitor for Christmas and a razor Hutson mini keyboard. Which I think is a great way to get better at keyboard and mouse!
yo this actually inspired me a lot, i had a ps4 that i shared with my brother and for my birthday my cousin got me the xbox series s and i had an old kbm laying around so i decided to try it out and i was really bad. i kept quitting and switching back until i actually got attached to it and realised that i have way better mechanics on kbm so i just stuck with it and i i have over 140$ in earnings
You talk so good... I'm living in a country that we don't speak English and our language has nothing with English language... but I can get what u mean on your videos so well❤
The inspiration level is INSANE!🤪 Thank you... I’m new to keyboard and mouse and my first keyboard was 15$ and my mouse was 5$ but I ordered a BOYI keyboard and glorious model o and I’m loving keyboard and mouse... Thank for the motivation!
not trying to be toxic or anything but thats a career you go to tournaments and win money the best player in the game has $3,159,595 dollars even look it up. its a career not a waste. plus he didnt do that just to get better he did it so he could take a bit of a advantage to do anything join a esports team cuz in esport teams they are all pc.
@@dvidfrrjeriseugqhuio4 I know, if you do make it a career it is definitely worth it but I feel like on one player on the whole game has 1mil+ and the rest have 400 - 800 k and they are the best in the world. The chances of this stuff making you the best in the world, very very very unlikely. But... if you put time into like studying you can easily be very smart and make lots of money
when I switched I put my controller out of reach so I wouldn't be able to just grab it in a fight or endgame trust me just try it it helps you so much !
i switched to kbm june 6th 2019 on ps4 and i still have the same WEIRD binds as i used and ive won over 600 dollars with them, 1 for wall, 2 stair, 3 floor, 4 cone, left alt shotgun, scroll down 3rd slot up 4th slot middle click the mouse for 2nd slot and i don't use confirm edit or scroll wheel, should i use either one cuz rn i can do 6 quad edit in a row without confirm edit and scroll wheel feels weird.
This has made me cracked out of my mine on keyboard and mouse I followed your instructions to make sure I was a good keyboard and mouse player respect to u
That was a nice story of how you started to play keyboard and mouse I’m also an Xbox person and I wanted to switch to keyboard and mouse because I have a bad controller that is already broken after 6 weeks. Once I switch to keyboard and mouse. I’m just gonna play a lot of creative until I’m an expert at cranking 90’s on keyboard and mouse.
@@iluvv2stepp710 I’m also gonna practice my aim once I get my own keyboard and mouse and having a good mechanical keyboard that’ll make myself good at the game is not part of my plan. My plan is just getting my own keyboard and mouse so that I don’t have to bother paying another xbox controller, because the controller I have right now is actually designed poorly.
If I told y'all all the reasons why I'm switching to keyboard and mouse it would be an entire essay but out of all of them, I'ma tell y'all the main one. People like me are forced to play on keyboard and mouse let me explain I literally can't play Fortnite without my entire hand being in pain and cramping all the time 1. when I play I have to grip my controller hard for movement 2. I can't play claw I tried playing claw for a week and it hurt even more than me not playing claw. Why does it hurt so much for me? it's because on my left hand I'm forcing my index and middle finger to bend even further than it already is. So I'm forced to play on controller without playing claw bruh do y'all have any idea of the work I'm putting in when I play the game and what I'm actually doing. I'm already at a disadvantage because unlike claw my fingers aren't already assigned to a button where I don't have to move it which brings us to 3. when I play on controller I feel like I'm doing a 30 min workout if y'all saw my hands y'all would be actually concerned. When I play on controller it looks like a damn spider moving all over it for example on my left hand I have to move my index finger to both L1 and L2 as fast as I can my right-hand same thing but for R1 and R2 and then here's where the real pain comes in. My right stick A.K.A R3 is my reset button, x is for jump, circle is for build mode, triangle is my pickaxe, and square is how I pick up loot and more. This means I'm moving all of my fingers plus my thumb every second as fast as I possibly can on 60 fps by the way to press more way more than 1 button over and over on each finger. My edit and confirm bind is on my left stick. keep in mind I do every 90 in the book, 180s, triple edits, Mongraal classics, 6 retakes, side jumps, high walls, double edits, tunnels, and more. And don't worry this is normal this just means I have to take a break from playing games because if I don't stop and keep playing games while my hand is hurting and cramping then I won't be able to play games anymore all together because it will hurt my hands to much for me to play. If you have the same problem as me like this comment if not have a great day. Here are all my binds L2 ramp, L1 roof, R1 platform, R2 wall, edit and confirm L3, reset R3, Inventory touchpad, ping left pad, and when I'm not in build mode my R3 is crouch, R2 is how I farm for mats, L2 is for when I aim with a weapon, and L1 and R1 is for me to go to my slots.
this was on my fyp on yt it was my sign to switch i feel capped at controller and ive been wanting to switch but say ima do it tomorrow every single day so now ima actually switch thank you bro
Do you reckon it is a good idea to switch to kbm on console since it has way more input delay? I’m pretty good on controller and I keep changing my settings and improving here and there but I always liked playing kbm but I’m very dog at it. What do you think?
I switched last year and got twice as good all said and done.......but last month I switched back to controller to hopefully take some of the skills I had learned. I ended up even better the on keyboard. Note- this is only a personal experience and it is worth trying. I just love controller and could never 100% switch.
ive been thinking to change to kbm but like ive been on ps4 for 7 years straight and with my new pc i feel like a god with controller on pc cause of the better specs but i still dont know if i should change
Your right when I started starting playing keyboard and mouse on July 16th 2021 I was so bad but like around 1 or 2 weeks I bgt my first win and I was so happy but between those 1 or 2 weeks I keep switching to my ps4 because I was better after a while I had a mindset to play keyboard and mouse for a month and I did. I saw the improvement I could already so double edits I practice fortnite between online classes to get ( don't do that kids don't skip classes) I was always practicing my aim my edits building etc. Now it has been 4 months I can do triple edits I atleast get 2 to 3 win in arena champion division in a day and I am the best in my friend clan. So if you want to get better you gotta practice I also played till 12 to 1 am practicing my aim and after while you will see your improvement.
Im on controller right now and im not that bad but i realy want to switch to kbm. I already own a ps5, a desk, a razer gigantus v2 mousepad and a gaming chair. So for my birthday towards the end of October im getting a ducky one 2 mini, a model o and a good monitor so i should have a pretty nice setup soon
ye i have been playing kbm the whole time of my carrer but i had theese really bad keybinds i was using scrollwheel to select through my builds and my friend who was a comp player and was cracked he help me and gave me his keybinds and it was hard to keep them because i felt bad but in a week time i was getting better and i was already better than i was on my old keybinds i had such a fun time trying to get better playing zone wars arena and boxfights non stop
Your story is kinda like mine i use to play how you play now on keyboard and mouse but i took a break from the game for 4 months and when i came back i was terrible so i switched to keyboard and mouse
