Agreed Tom, there are folks (like me) saying he should wait another year and get bigger physically. I hope he proves me wrong, he seems like a great kid!
@LockedOnIllini Hopefully, he can get get bigger and stronger at the school he picks for this year. I'd love to see him back at Illinois in 2025, but I think the Illini are going to be pretty good either way. I'm impressed with the guys who are coming in.

I agree on Jeremiah Fears possibly coming to Illinois in the future. Absolutely you are correct on this thinking. I differ on your 2025 perspective though. Way too early to think 2025 is going to be better than this year. So many things can change you cannot bank on any of it. Players leaving; players not coming; etc. It’s the new era so this year, and each year from now on is the only year you can get excited or not about. I will go out on a limb to say it is this year that has Final Four written all over it - as a possibility. This year. Talent level very high high; the depth is very deep; we’ve become “foul proof” this year; replacements will elevate the team each time whoever comes off the bench; a different top scorer nightly; multiple double digit scorers; a team very hard to guard; top notch rebounding team this year; 3 point scorers aplenty; and we could drive all night to the hoop and score or get fouled. Ok … there’s actually more but I’ll cut it off. As Lauren Tate said recently … potential is just a lot of doo doo. This team needs the bright lights; the crowd noise to get used to; they need to meld. Brads biggest challenge is continuing the culture that was given great birth last season. They bled orange and blue for each other. This team gets this?? And, we will go very very far THIS YEAR.
Next season would be better for Jeremiah. With all the talent on this years roster getting the playing time he wants would be difficult. Next season he will be stronger and Big 10 ready. I hope that he makes his return in the future.
I like Jeremiah & I think he’s surrounded by good folks. I hope they get their wish and he is a star and goes to the NBA immediately. BUT, if what I described in the show happens I also think that’s one of the other better case scenarios for everyone involved.
It probably would be, but I think he's already graduated from high school. It's hard to tell him to take a year and wait for a spot. The schools pursuing him probably have an immediate opening for him.
These podcasters need to stop talking about Fears. It happened a week ago. Let it go. It's not just your show, it's all of them, just rehashing the same talks and info over and over again. We're over Fears. It is what it is, no new ground to cover there.
Always appreciate your feedback! Right now there’s a reason a lot of the shows are talking similar content, it’s because it’s the off-season. Theres not much else to talk about, especially with me doing shows on a daily basis. I know every episode won’t be for everyone all the time so I do appreciate hearing your thoughts!
