I have to disagree with your point on self love; self love will be the reason you want to wake up in the morning and improve your life in the first place. You don’t always need to be perfect or even have a reason for doing so
That, and lack of self love is the main cause of desperation in the first place. Dudes feel like something (self love) is missing and therefore begin chasing a girl, money, hedonistic pleasures, etc. And if you’re really not careful, your “healthy level of self disdain” is what leads to narcissism and a person being excessively full of oneself, all stemming from insecurity with the person of whom they’re supposed to be at that moment.
