As Christans we all have experience this like myself didn't understand and was dispointment the only hope was to run to God for understanding

Peter you are in my prayers. If you read the story of David you will see a boy become man, man becomes a king. When his story starts out he is just a simple shepherd boy tending his father's sheep. Jesse's youngest boy who like spending his time singing and playing his instruments for sheeps. Nothing impressive at all but if we look behind the scenes we see God training him up to ve protector and leader. He defeated Goliath by relying on God for his strength. Later he would be defeated by lust by lying aside his faith for flesh. As a father he fell way short as we see in the interactions between his children, he was even on the run from one of his sons. I bring all this up to say God spoke of David as a man after His own heart. David was never above repenting, he actually became and exoert at it. So as we listen to people of faith remember they all have a sin nature as we do that has to be fought daily. The only person that ever should reign on any pedestal is our Lord and Saviour Jesus. He will never ever fall short, make us regret our decision to follow Him. I love you young man and jusy keep your eyes on Christ

Let us stay on guard prayerfully. The times have never been more compromising.

He knew what he was doing, he had a predatorial approach and used his position of authority to get what he wanted from women, even used his faith in God to justify his actions...horrific actions... We must speak and denounce his horrific behaviour while praying for the victims, his family and ministry. For him, we can not do anything anymore, he will be judge in the day of wrath like the rest of us. We can only hope that he sincerely repanted before God before he died...

I don't know, but I am sure that if he was, he would've been held accountable by those in his ministry. He chose to take this sin to his grave. It is unfortunate. I was Sad foe the Victims, i was never subscribed to Ravi’s teachings myself. I prefer preachers that preach just the TRUTH not the types that skirt around it.

You can only be accountable if you are willing to be honest and open. There were a few people who tried to guide him and he reacted negatively to them. Its truly heartbreaking.

From what I have read, and that isn't too much because it's hurtful, he was able to keep his lives separate. There was significant effort spent on avoiding accountability. His ministry was very much in the dark until the time the accusations starting coming out. How they responded after he settled with the one lady in 2017, I don't know. But apparently, no one felt he needed monitoring later on. He was a wordsmith. I'm sure he was very smooth. We see these persuasive skills on display during his performances. Unless his ministry was actively looking for something rotten, I can understand them not knowing.

Sadly I think he used his intellect to keep people at arm’s length. And other people in his ministry did not look deeper when there was sufficient smoke to suggest a possible fire. He refused to turn over or allow others access to his computer and smartphone

@@solideogloria5973 years ago the ministry actually attempted an internal investigation into accusations against RZ but he refused to surrender his communication devices. So the board of directors, which included members of his family, walked away from pursuing further inquiry. When RZIM finally allowed an independent investigation there was a ton of evidence that Ravi Zacharias was regularly engaging in predatory sexual immorality.

As far as Ravi being a wordsmith who was able to keep others at bay, it says in Proverbs that WHEN WORDS ARE MANY TRANSGRESSION IS NOT LACKING (Proverbs 10:19). In the past I tried watching some of RZ's messages and I couldn't get past the first 10 minutes because he spent so much time dropping names, talking about his travels, etc. etc. To me he seemed more interested in impressing his listeners than bringing the gospel to them. I think that among the dangers of apologetics is that one can fall in love with having knowledge for knowledge's sake. Also falling in love with the sound of one's clever debating voice. Both are forms of idolatry. Knowledge puffs up but love builds up. Paul didn't preach the gospel with eloquent speech lest the cross be emptied of its power. (1 Corinthians 1:17)

He was a brilliant apologist and it's a shame his sin will now mar the work and the legacy he would have left behind. Many have pointed out that truth is truth and when he conveyed truth, that will always remain. He was such a mentor to me in my faith. I was so unbelievably grieved when all of this came to light. This hurt more than his passing and I felt a terrible loss when he passed. I pray for his family. I pray for the victims. I pray for God to bring restoration.

Actually his ministry asked to see what was in his phone before and he became defensive, if I remember correctly. At that time they were mere suspicions and allegations but the thought was already there I suppose. Only now was it confirmed.

My point is more to behavior and knowing when something is not right, although things looks one way or another. It’s hard to stand up to a leader, I get that too.
