In today's video, Justin takes a look at a few different types of cooling system reservoirs for forced induction applications, such as our VMP Superchargers. As you progress, you may eventually be considering utilizing an ice tank to harness the thermal energy and benefits of ice.
Justin covers the basics of degas bottles, under hood ice tanks, and trunk mounted ice tanks as well as their most common use applications.

Fun fact. I buy 30 pounds of bag ice and set them on top of 10 pounds of dry ice in big cooler. I’ve seen my IATs at -10F at the start of a run and 26F at the end of a run.

@@keithjones7304 dry ice is -100F, bag ice is 0F. Bringing 0F to -100F means that the regular ice has to absorb more energy to melt than 0F ice.

Car guy and Ex-Bartender. U guys should build a (small) Jockey Box. ( pump and closed loop to the inter-cooler ) The ice and water, will stay in the Insulated box but cool the fluid / IE, water or Glycol running to the intercooler ) A Jockey Box will cool beer lines, 4 or 5 hours with maybe, 3 bags of ice. lve wanted to try this for many years but havent.
