I visited India after my service in idf as most of my fellow countrymen does. And not a single female Israeli Jewish tourist has been ever harassed by Indians. Not a single I repeat not a single incident of harrasment of Israeli Jewish female tourist have occurred in India inspite of us going there in droves. In Himachal Pradesh there is a mountain valley called Parvati Valley and in that valley is an entire village constructed by our Jewish tourists who use it as a retreat camp for relaxing, it's also known as India's only Jewish village. The state of Kerala in South India has a entire town known as as Jew town, the epicenter of the 3000 year old Jewish community in India and looks exactly similar to Portugal. Moreover Northwestern India is very popular among white western tourists for relaxation. You see a picture of Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh or Rishikesh, a town in the foothills of Northwestern Indian Himalayas, so many white tourists. Northeast Indians are racially Sino Tibetans and they are literally having high literacy rates and a culture exactly similar to Chinese culture. Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Darjeeling, Meghalaya. Those places are literally the safest places in India.

I lived in Saudi for 6 years and I felt safer walking the streets at night alone than going back to my HDB flat at night in Singapore. What most foreigners don’t get about India is that India not a country but the world itself in terms of its diversity. There are places which are as safe as any European country and there are places which are as bad as some African countries. Most Indians know where it is safe and where it is not unlike random tourists who visit one part of India and assume the experience will be similar elsewhere. Delhi, Jharkhand, UP are notorious for such incidents. There are also differences in rural side and urban side. Gender violence is universal and India is no exception. But it’s not like the whole of India is dangerous for women.
