A lot of this is more South Dublin than Ireland as a whole, which is definitely its own bubble separate from the rest of the city, never mind the country.
I must say, Clara is one of the cutest and most fun women I’ve ever ‘met.’ If all Irish people are like her, I love the Irish! My neighbor left Dublin 30 years ago. He was a falling down drunk in his 20s. He woke up one morning face down in a ditch and hasn’t had a drop since. His 11 siblings all drank heavily and many died before age 60.
