Maximilian did a movement with #bringbackKI and it did nothing, just a balance update and a color swap to the logo. They should sell it so they can focus on their CoD numbers and Candy Crush numbers.
I'm personally just switching to PC. Too much bullshit to deal with on modern consoles. I might buy the next Nintendo console, but the Switch will probably be the last one I'll seriously use, unless the next one offers genuinely half competent performance. PlayStation just doesn't offer enough for me to personally be interested in anything past PS3 and Vita.
Xbox users only bought 1000 copies of a Phoenix Wright collection a couple years ago. Compare that to Nintendo fans at the beginning of the Nintendo Switch’s life. Capcom told Nintendo fans they might not get future support if they didn’t by a $40 copy of Street Fighter II, and it sold over 1million copies.
Maybe because Ace Attorney is a weird game which also started out as a game on Nintendo Platforms. Had you used a more Competent Title as an Example maybe you could have had a point.
@@cMARVEL360 ONLY 1000 COPIES!!! Come on. Xbox should have been able to passively sell over 10K copies in a day, but they couldn’t even do that. Phoenix Wright is a Capcom game, and they noticed that.
@@blakewilliams5627 How could it sell 10,000 supposed copies if people aren't interested? Not to mention that many people own a Switch. When it comes to a weird game like Ace which Started out as a Nintendo Game, In a weird Gameplay Loop, It's a game that sells better on the Japanese Catered Nintendo & PlayStation platforms. If I had a switch and an Xbox, and I was interested in this game, which platform do you think I would pick up the game on? I personally believe you are purposely ignoring a lot of factors and are more interested in delivering your narrative regardless of factors. And that's cool, but it just isn't something I'm interested in interacting with. ✌️
@@cMARVEL360I’m not ignoring anything. You are making excuses for why Xbox fans won’t buy certain games. I just told you about a Capcom game (company making this Marvel fighting collection) that only sold 1000 copies, and Capcom has been skipping Xbox ever since. This Marvel fighting collection is something that they don’t believe Xbox fans will buy in decent numbers. They aren’t going to put development time into a game they believe might sell less than 10,000 copies. Capcom fears It could come to Xbox, and instead of just paying $60 for it, Xbox fans could start begging for it to come to gamepass.
@@blakewilliams5627 It's because I'm on Xbox and I have never played Ace Attorney in my life. I'm talking to you as an Example. You're laying some BS on us as to why we don't have some of the most Legendary Games in Human History, by using some Lame Niche game as an Example?! Dude I don't even pick Ace in Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 because I think he is lame. Don't lay that Evil on us. I even Own Marvel. Vs. Capcom 1 & 2 On Arcade 1up. Two cabs, Same Games List for $500 each. I'm on Xbox and I love this game so much I'm gonna buy it on Steam and Switch (Physical) and I down even own a Switch. You think I wouldn't have bought an Xbox Copy? You don't make any sense.
This year’s showcase was great, but it still did nothing to convince to actually buy an Xbox if their games are also coming to PC and PlayStation. Not to mention the consoles are still expensive, $600 for a 2 TB model of 3-year-old hardware is ludicrous.
Agreed it was probably Xbox's best showcase in 10 years, but the sad reality is most of them are coming to PS and ALL of them are gonna be on PC. To me the whole point of exclusives is to sell consoles, but the game industry has shifted I guess.
@@steveb9713 When they brought out that Kinect on the 360, they failed to bring out GOTY type games. Killer Instinct & both Forza Games have been great for the most part but those games aren't up for GOTY because of the type of games they are.
Xbox players: State of Play barely has anything, we have a lot to look forward to in Xbox.😁 Also Xbox players: WHAT DO YOU MEAN NO MVC Collection ON XBOX?!😭
Not to mention, that one Ace Attorney collection they did a few years back apparently sold pretty poorly on Xbox compared to the other platforms it was released on.
Xbox is a very high-risk platform to support a niche title on unless you're getting that sweet Gamepass deal. This is mostly owing to the smaller, highly localized install base this gen. Also, the process of delivering updates for Xbox games is still onerous and can negatively impact other platforms, especially if crossplay is supported. Wish it weren't so, but that's why.
I will say it as a xbox owner. Xbox has done nothing but destroy their brand. They care more about game pass more their systems and about games. I don't blame capcom. There is not a day that I wish I got a ps4 pro instead of a xbox one.
Unfortunately this has been a trend over the last few years which is why I no longer play on Xbox. It’s either the switch, ps4/5, or pc for me nowadays.
See, that's the difference between people who hold their nuts and people who get forced to do shit by companies. If it's not coming to Xbox, then I ain't playing it😂
I think ps is in the same boat, underdelivering on the expectations of a new gen. Switch is the best of them, although it is not my platform of choice wgen i buy multiplatform aaa games, steam/pc is such a better option over all of them, nintendo exclusives are really good, and gamepass is a great service, but steam ultimately tajes the cake
I think my only REAL bummer about the collection is the lack of crossplay. Wish at least PC and PS players had it like SF6. I'll even take it as a later patch
For those with short memories- it was the arrival of X-Box and their shills that started unfairly demonising the Japanese games industry (that had given us so many classics) in favour of a homegrown product. A lot of Japanese games developers never recovered in those shameful times. I didn't forget and I guess neither has Japan?
It's possible, these games don't typically sell well on Xbox in Japan, and maybe even in the west, I always preferred Playstation's D-Pad to Xbox's especially for fighting games.
For What I heard, the reason why the MVC Collection is not at Xbox it's because Microsoft stoped working with the same programs that Capcom is using for this title
I've been saying that FOR YEARS. It is not sustainable unless Microsoft wants to burn money, developers don't make enough to offset the cost of development with whatever Microsoft gives them to put it on Gamepass, essentially killing almost all sales for Xbox.
@@fcukugimmeausername I don't think Activision's shareholders are going to enjoy seeing less and less returns every quarter due to COD essentially being free now.
The games on the collection were NOT ever developed through MT Framework. These are older games that any device nowadays can play without much problem. The newest engine/hardware used for one of the games for example is the NAOMI for Marvel vs Capcom 2, and CPS2 for the rest ( besides Punisher). The reason Capcom hasn't released it for Xbox YET is because of gamepass and Xbox not really being a fighting game platform in this last generation. They will release on Xbox if sales are good which they will be.
I also support the sales theory. The Battle Network Collection missed Xbox due to them believing sales would be bad. However if this MvC Collection had crossplay I think the situation would have been different. Look at Monster Hunter Wilds. It's releasing on everything with full crossplay support, including Xbox. I'm going to make the choice of not buying this MvC Collection because it really strikes a nerve with me that Xbox is being left out again, whatever their reasoning is.
*Ok, I apologize for sounding like a crazy Xbox fanboy for a second but I really need people to start using their brains for more than just remembering how to breath, im sorry I have to push back on the idea that games don't sell on Xbox theory. I hate when people state that as a fact simply because gamepass is a thing, if there was any truth to it, Xbox as a platform entirely would be a baron wasteland with absolutely 0 3rd party support.* My point im trying to make is Capcom out of any publisher in gaming would know whether or not if its worth porting their games to Xbox. I mean, if gamepass was truly the problem, then why are they continuing to put their titles such as Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess and Exoprimal into gamepass day one. I didn't even mention every Capcom game/ collections that's available on Xbox -Capcom fighting collection -Street Fighter 6 -Capcom Beat 'Em up Bundle -Ghost Trick Phantom Detective -Mega Man Legacy collection 1/2 -Mega Man X Legacy collections 1/2 -Mega Man 11 -Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection -Devil my cry 1/2/3/4/5 -Capcom Arcade stadium 1/2 -Resident evil franchise -Ace Attorney franchise -Monster Hunter franchise
I'd have to look up the sales numbers but don't all of those games you just listed sell much worse on Xbox in comparison? Maybe not in the 360 days when Xbox was dominating with 3rd parties, but recently it seems like PS and Switch are the go-to consoles when everything on Xbox is readily available on PC at the same time. While I still think Game Pass is a sales killer (logically it has to be, why would you pay $70 for 1 game when you can pay $15 for 100's?) I think the framework Capcom used for the older games isn't an easy port to the Series consoles for whatever reason. Even newer games are having difficulties like Baldur's Gate 3 with it's Series S problems, and Black Myth: Wukong with the devs stating they need more time to polish the Xbox version. It almost seems like a reversal from the PS3/360 days when the PS3 was notoriously hard to develop for (I just made a new video about that) and now the Series consoles are harder to develop for. These are all just theories though, I still love my Series X and still do 85% of my multiplayer/coop gaming on there.
I think part of it is the fact that it was announced on a Nintendo Direct and not at EVO USF2 and SF 30th Edition sold *incredibly* well on Switch. It's entirely possible funding was given for this games budget by Nintendo and Sony, similar to how Sony gave funding to SFV for PS4 exclusivity.
Nintendo only does that if they want the game exclusive to Switch just like how MARVEL Ultimate Alliance 3 was, Nintendo didn't pay for Capcom or MARVEL to put the MARVEL vs. Capcom Fighting Collection for Switch. Had they done that then the collection wouldn't be also on Steam and PS4. Technically it's either Capcom or MARVEL or Disney or all of them who paid Nintendo to be able to showcase that collection on the Nintendo Direct.
@@magicprime5135Same, I think X-box isn't a good option anymore. If they are gonna let all their exclusives out on other consoles, so why would you have an X-box?
@@fernandonava6693 The reason Microsoft wanted their exclusive XBOX games to go multiplatform on other consoles so that their consoles and software games would sell better putting it in better competition with Nintendo Switch, Sony PlayStation 5 and the PC. Games and consoles will sell best being multiplatform outlet sales and fans will be happier with that. That is the way it has been for years. That is the way it should continue to be. The Spiderman games were never exclusive until, Insomniac Games decided that which was wrong. Rocksteady Studio never made there Batman Arkham Games exclusive. What's up with that video gamers.
Spider-man license is owned by Sony(Squares avengers game lacked spider-man on xbox) and they are have released games on Switch in the past and are bringing Lego Horizon to switch so not allowing their licenced character on xbox just seems like another of Sonys' anti consumer decisions.
Marvel Rivals, Midnight sons, Lego Marvel games, Sony only have the license to produce Spiderman''s games and by insomniac's leak we know that deal only for specifics games Marvel's Avengers case was a deal of exclusivity between Square Enix and Sony
I don't think the MT framework thing makes much sense at all. PS5 and Xbox series S/X are incredible similar (basically same CPU some variance in GPU) major difference is Xbox is forced to use Direct X as its graphics API, but most likely the steam version will use Direct X API since its the most commonly used Graphics API. So yea I don't think its a hardware issue at all.
yeah I don't even think this collection would use MT Framework at all (unless it's purely for UI, which doesn't make much sense to me why UI of all things would cause hardware compatibility issues). The actual games are literal MAME ROMs with a few modifications per game.
@@BronzeAgePepper That is a great point actually, these games predate MT Framework by almost a decade and I don't believe MT Framework was ever used to emulate older games. This video is probably just straight misinformation.
LOOK AT SALES ONTO ASIAN countries like Japan!!!! Xbox maybe once a year as CONSOLE Anime games or Japanese exclusives only on Nintendo or Playstation 4 so far To my knowledge only 5 countries knows xbox.
I'm sure eventually Capcom's 3D fighters will come out in its own collection (maybe they might have to forge a deal with Arika for the SF EX series as well).
xbox is an american console at the end of the day, capcom, sony, nintendo are all from the same area i could see them really catering to that audience and thats okay
Tbf, xbox has always been the weakest platform for FGC playerbase. Also microsoft seem to be focusing on software atm, and gamepass is on PC, all their games release on PC as well. Eventually there might not even be any xbox going forward. Who knows tho
That is NOT True at all. Xbox ruled EVO for MVC2, SF4, and just about every title that was on both PS and Xbox, Ran better with less input delay with more stable Online on Xbox 360. Sony Bought Evo, and that changed the Landscape in regards to Consoles. The PC has always been the best way to play, but for those who enjoyed consoles, Xbox was a Great Place to play a game you're interested in. But PS platforms would always get the more Japanese based Fighting games of which there are many of, But even BlzBlue and Guilty Gear on both on Xbox now a days. I mean dude. How can you say anything knowing that MVC2 was the top selling Xbox Live Arcade Game on release. When MVC2 was first announced it was as an Xbox Live Arcade Title.
@@cMARVEL360 You misunderstood me. You're saying 'Every title ran better with better online' 'PC is the best way to play' and 'Xbox was a great place to play' 1. I agree. 2. I am NOT talking about QUALITY of play... I said it's the weakest playerbase. This means number of people. The majority of fighting game consumers play on PC and then secondly on Playstation. An example with easy to find statistics is the recent Tekken 8: PC: 53.18% PS: 39.35% XB: 7.47%
@@BenAstridge You said it's always been the weakest when it has not been the case. In the days of the Xbox 360, players who practiced on PS, Had to go to Evo and play on an Xbox 360. Even ports of games ran better on Xbox than PS2 like MVC2 port. But I also understand we are arguing two timelines, You gave a Blanket Statement which I am saying is Historically NOT True, But I very much understand that over the years, between Arcade Stick support for PS, and better Graphics and Japanese Support made the PS4 era the foundation of what we have today in the FGC couple with Sont buying Evo. What you can look at now is years of conditioning, So when you give a blanket statement, the people with the knowledge will happily correct you. I'm 35. I have lived the various Gaming Habits and Lived the Perspective of the people for each era.
Not exactly, the 360 was the preferred platform for fighting games during its heyday, but after Microsoft shot themselves in the foot with Xbox One, the FGC would migrate not only to PlayStation but also PC.
That’s bs tho because when they delisted the marvel origin games on ps3 and marvel vs Capcom 2 remix hd thingy , Xbox held those game longer Also street fighter 30th collection and Capcom fighting collection also were physically available on Xbox … Now Microsoft wants to walk away from THIS?! And in a Sony guy saying this
Yes, almost nobody cares about this gayBox, except the gamepass hobos. " When this will be in gaybox? Change, spare some change? Change, gimme change, gimme money, gimme feee games"
It doesn’t matter because the PS5 is backwards compatible with PS4 games and it’s coming to PS4. People with a PS5 will just buy it via backwards compatibility. So technically the game is on PS5, just backwards compatible. The issue is that it’s not even coming to Xbox ONE. Reason is apparently MS updated the Xbox hardware that makes the MT Framework not compatible with Xbox consoles 2022 and beyond.
I don’t think it’s a blow for Xbox fans. The FGC has never really had a huge presence on the Xbox platform. Killer instinct was about it but wasn’t that huge in comparison to other fighters. I don’t see many XFans really crying over this not being on their platform.
It’s going to every console except Xbox cause capcom is stupid capcom is doing it again putting a game on every hardware except for Xbox remember street fighter 5 going on PlayStation and Steam except for Xbox i won’t forget capcom not putting X-men Vs street fighter marvel super heroes Vs street fighter on the Sega Saturn for world wide only on the PS1 that played like trash where was Nintendo when we needed their console at that time it sure vested the PS1 so capcom has a lot to learn when a console shouldn’t get their game the PS1 just wasn’t the right console as the Nintendo 64 abdcSega Saturn can’t wait to see if capcom is really going to skip Xbox
Or, you know, it's just as simple as liscense negotiations haven't been completed for the XBox platform by the time the Nintendo direct announcement. Hasn't been the first game that had a platform to be omitted from initial announcement, only to come out later.
Sony has basically monopolized the fighting game genre and thats supported by the FGC competitive scene standardizing it. This became solidified with the PS4 after Capcom and Arc System made their fighters Xbox excluded titles. I hate this, because this just splits up the community. I can play Marvel on my PC, but my friends dont have PCs, and were all not buying a dead PS5 just to play a nearly 30 year old game we already bought twice.
When a game from a Third party comes to xbox the developer gets paid money from Microsof. So they are loosing money in the end by not making a versuon for Xbox series
This is bs man! I honestly am tired of this console war shit! Mvc was for all consoles back then this stuff now is ridiculous and honestly capcom is about to lose alot of fans for this
I get that licenses are expensive, but for a Disney-owned company like Marvel, they’d definitely want money from every platform possible. But, since this is a Capcom situation, they don’t want to release the collection on a platform where fighters are rarely played.
That doesnt make sense blaming MT frame wirk, both street fighter anniversary collection and the capcom fight collection plus the the other capcom beat em up collection would run in much the exact same way as this collection so thats bull
@@JamesJones-uf4lk ...and? The games are an all or nothing deal. Look, Ace Attorney Investigations collection was also at the direct and is coming to Xbox (more games that did not use MT). This shows Capcom does not hate Xbox, it really just is this engine issue. This is also why there is no native PS5 version.
Besides getting a Series X upgrade the last major update was with Season 3, way back in 2016. Unless you think a few color changes to characters and a few levels is a massive update.
Very easy Answer They dont want to pay and hold up the servers on a platform that looks like its dying for 10+ years. thats why ace attorney is coming because its offline
I’m hearing it has something to do with a MT engine and that either Capcom or Xbox moved away from it? Maybe they’re trying to figure a way to get a Xbox version up and running, because the other fighting collections are on there
Except the game is on Switch and PC. And Spider-Man was in Ultimate Alliance 3 which was a Switch exclusive. The only thing Sony owns is the Specific Marvel's Spider-Man game series made by Insomniac
They wanted to make money, thats why its not on xbox lol. Not only does xbox consistently have the weakest player base, but game pass is time bomb and developers dont want to put there games on xbox just for it to be free day one
Less console sales, less support from 3rd party similar to Vita and Wii U. It is also make it harder for them get exclusive deal because they had to pay developer more to skip PS5 and Switch.
Doubtful, the game probably wouldn't sell super well on Xbox anyways. In order of sales it'll probably be Switch, Steam, PS, and then Xbox if it comes to it.
