Amazon is the most accessible marketplace on the internet. I’d assume most people(ironically) that purchase from Amazon would believe that the official sites to purchase fragrances are the overpriced scammers, and Amazon is a name that can trust with affordable prices and you can easily return items. They’re paying for convenience and reliability.
I am already an Amazon Prime subscriber. Unless I am buying, in some case cases, five bottles, the prices on Amazon are often cheaper because I am not adding shipping costs. This addition thing isn't all that tricky.
I received a fake Eros Flame from an Amazon order. A lot of the sellers on Amazon are not Amazon and they make it really difficult to get a return or refund
Belcam is an old budget fragrance company hailing from New York. I've tried G and it's not bad. Very linear scent and the initial spritz does have a burst of alcohol. Dry down is ok. Their ingredients are very uncomplicated and clean. Nothing harmful and company has a great over 50 year reputation. Just expect average performance. Definitely for budget minded people.
Imma be honest, that G’eau is not bad at all. Really close for an 8 dollar fragrance. Quality is actually decent (a little more synthetic, but that’s expected). Lasts 3-5 hours, so basically the same amount as the original nowadays. Great value for what you get I’d say
Belcam G is a lot better then perry ellis red . Belcam shades of blue gets tons of compliments believe it or not even more then my expensive colognes honestly kind of upsetting in a way .
#8 G is way closer than it should be. You can buy it at any large department store like Wal-Mart or Meijer...exactly like ADG? No. But out of my 300 plus fragrances (when I was a younger man) it has pulled a lot of compliments....
That G smells a lot like ADG. It last 5 hours on skin. It has been mistaken for ADG by very adamant women who absolutely know it’s ADG and think I’m lying when I say it’s not! Best $8 you will ever spend on a fragrance actually
I've purchased a number of fragrances on Amazon and gotten great deals. A couple of tips... 1. Watch prices regularly. Things that never go on sale elsewhere will occasionally get heavily discounted, even more if you subscribe and save. 2. Avoid third-party sellers. Amazon is full of them and they often sell under Prime. Most people claiming they got fakes from Amazon almost certainly instead got their fake from a third-party. 3. Amazon seems to try and compete with third-party prices, so even if the best price is third-party and sketchy, double check the sold and shipped by Amazon prices, they will often be just a few bucks more. Happy Hunting!
Belcam is a solid budget fragrance company, I’ve had their version of Polo blue EDT, ADG, ADG perfumo, polo red EDT, polo EDT, David off coolwater, and Drakkar noir. All are solid clones of them and I’ve had around 4-5 hours of performance. Can’t really complain for $6-8 bucks for each bottle
I will say Eros edt is strong.. I’m still new to the scent game, and didn’t know I should go light, and my shirt came out of the laundry clean still smelling like it. Awesome fragrance, so I wasn’t to mad
Amazon sometimes still has discontinued fragrances. I picked up Prada L’Homme Intense and Acqua Di Gio Profumo recently. Just need to shop carefully to avoid fakes.
Of course at 8 dollars it isn't the strongest. Double up on sprays. It will still smell on my clothes the next day. Skin for about 8-9 hours if it's not too hot.
The first couple of times i smelled Voyage it gave me this nausea feeling, no idea why and put it aside for like 2 months. Decided to give it another try and the smell was way better and quite a bit different, not like the first sprays. Bottle is almost empty now, its a solid summer pick.
If you DO grab some of those Belcam frags, also MAKE SURE you get CM which is a FANTASTIC YSL Y EDT clone as well as Blue Classic match which is ANOTHER great clone of Polo Deep Blue.
I saw that you mentioned carcinogens in cologne you should do a educational video on colognes and the potential dangers that you could face etc. It's pretty obvious from the statement that you made you believe that there could be some potential risk involved.
The reason I appreciate perfume influencers like you is that you do the research most of us won't invest the time and money checking out brands and flankers that most of us wouldn't even know exist. While influencers can't find what each of us loves they make it way easier and way cheaper. A great example is there Versace you mentioned and how the average guy, like me once upon a time, would just purchased it based on the name and then been disappointed and then given up on finding find perfumes I love to wear.
Versace Man Eau Fraiche is by far my most complimented fragrance in my collection. I will definitely reorder when I run out. Probably cheaper from discounters though.
Hey actually, Belcam who makes G’eau is doing decent clones for cheap. I actually have a few bottles of G’eau black which is their take on Profumo. I actually quite like it when I run out of my Profumo.
I'll take Belcam's Classic Match (Polo) over Polo Green EDT any day. Been wearing that one since 1988 or so, when it was $3 in drugstores. Others, like CM M, (clone of Y) are just a little too off the mark for me. What I don't get is why people pay the full retail price for stuff like Joop! Homme, Nautica Voyage and Jovan Musk at WalMart.
I made the mistake of blind buying the big bottle of Joop Homme because it was cheap and I was curious. Worst smelling fragrance i've smelled. So bad. lol
I was lucky enough to snag a bottle each of Armani Code Absolu and Profumo on Amazon before they disappeared from everywhere. I was a bit scared if I’m being honest. I knew the potential of them being fakes were high but I took the risk and very fortunately it paid off. They’re the only fragrances is my 45 bottle collection that I got from Amazon and don’t see myself taking the risk again. However, I have to admit that it came through without fault so I can’t knock on Amazon or those who shop fragrances on there too bad. Amazon came through clutch when I couldn’t find those sought out frags at any discounter and was even more weary of navigating eBay for them.
Can't go wrong with Belcam for CAD $20 vs the OG ADG for $100 in discounters. It might not be as refined but it lasts ages on skin and it pulls lots of compliments. For a small collector like myself this G makes a lot of sense.Great video Ash!
You sound like Jeremy, the number one fragrance icon with a red ferrari and a gold rolex. Nautica voyage is number one! It is cheap and not even worth the cheap price. It is awefull.
@@Roy-eu1gq You sound like a gatekeeper npc. Let people like what they like. Voyage was my first perfume and it was banger. Now I have over 200 fragrances. Everyone starts somewhere.
@squid2849 where do I say they can't buy and enjoy this fragrance? I am giving my opinion, to wich I am entitled to do. Just like you. I dont care that it is cheap. I have a problem with the scent profile. To my nose and on my skin, it's just nothing special, or even decent. I could use it as an air freshener but I rather have something better smelling to use for such things. Cheap doesn't mean bad, but in this case for me this fragrance just does not cut it and I don't understand the hype for it. And congratulations on owning 200 fragrances friend. Quite the feat!
Did his thumbnail just ask why ppl are buying Nautica Voyage so often?? Nautica Voyage is the best cheap fresh scent in the history of the entire fragrance industry. Maybe that's why
I have to admit I bought that small bottle of Versace thinking it was a fabulous deal and little did I know. Anyways, I ended up buying the larger 1.75 shortly after so it was nice to have something small to sample before investing in a large bottle. And I did buy a bottle of the club de Nuit and only for it's clone properties. Iv had compliments on both the club and the Versace, but you may b surprised, I have had more compliments on that G eau fragrance then the rest of your fragrances in this video. I also own that Perry Ellis but do not get near as many compliments as I do when I wear the G. I've been told it smells a lot better and trails a lot better then the Perry Ellis and the AQua d geau.
Scent of the day, perhaps? Either way, I love Drakkar and I love Green Irish Tweed. If Drakkar had to be replaced, I'm glad it got replaced by Green Irish Tweed 😂
Buying online has nothing to do with the experience buying in a real perfumery.. I talk to a experienced advicer, test some scents, spray two of them on my arms.. Walk away for a coffee, smell how the scent develops.. walk back to the perfumery, buy eventually… and I‘m really satisfied.. a new scent I like, I buy it for me, not to compliment others… would never buy a scent because it’s on a Amazon-list.. A new frag is like a new friend who‘ll stay with me for years.. So the only criteria MUST be, how it suits to ME! I‘m not a collector, but I love the scents by themselves, and I love to smell nice!!
I guess I've never thought of buying fragrances off Amazon. I just assumed they would be fakes. That being said, I am in my 40's, and a handful of these are what I wore in high school in the 90's. Maybe some people buy based on nostalgia?
I've bought dozens of fragrances from Amazon and only one seemed fake - Polo Sport. However, I did receive a few fragrances that were expired or old stock. People will leave comments that they are fake or watered down when in fact I believe they were real but not kept in a temperature controlled environment. But overall, I've had more positive than negative purchases there. Also, Amazon has been nice about refunding the full price of the bad ones, without needing to return the bottle.
My favourite scent for everyday is Pepe Jeans celebrate for several reasons: -it has nice performance -off my skin, it has a nice freshness in the summer -in the wintertime, it Shows its tonka, sweet, vanilla side -its cheap (i'm 18 and broke)
Well.. Ive purchased a lot of fragrances from Amazon. I get gift cards from work and ive purchased 7 fragrances so far and have not had a single issue with them. All perform as described online/ your channel
I have purchased most of my Fragrances from Amazon. Why? • convenience (I already have an open account), • cost ($0 for shipping), • time (2-4 day shipping) I haven't purchased any of these from Amazon and I only own one from this list (Voyage). What's wrong with purchasing Fragrances from Amazon?
I use Amazon for a few cheap buys when i want it overnight or 2-day and its more novelty than collection (Tommy, Nautica, etc. -- needless to say, im not buying PDM from Amazon) . Wholesalers are the way to go though, as i think of it, Bleu de Chanel might be a candidate because, well, does it ever go on sale anyways 🙄
Nautica Classic is one of the best cheapies. It reminds me of expensive cosmetic products like Biotherm Homme range smells very similar. Nautica is also long lasting with decent projection.
That’s absolutely why people buy The Dreamer. I bought a 50ml because it was €20. Since then it grew on me a lot and it was an amazing deal without a doubt.
I buy 65% of my fragrances from Amazon because there's always some sale. Lots of options and I'm very impatient and can get it the next day! Though it's necessary to do some research before buying.
I picked my tshirt from closet, and i could smell Armaf club dnuit after 2 weeks. Thats incredible. Not so strong but man, i could smell it. 2 weeks? Is there any summer fragrance like Armaf CDN?
@@jimlittle5769i really like bvlgari man in black. And my favourite neroli is the maison Alhambra Porto neroli which is a Tom Ford neroli portofino dupe
They definitely still make CDNIM EDT still. Bought one for my roommate this past Christmas. What they don’t have anymore is the EDP in a 100ml. Only 200ml.
The dreamer is solid, tbh you gotta remember these are regular people who think cologne is whatever and dont even wanna spend $60. Obv people like us are more snooty cause we actually care.
Should have done a comparison of prices on Amazon vs. discounters...that might have explained why people are buying frags on Amazon or it might have convinced them to go for discounters(if the same frags were cheaper on discounters)
