Crazy inflation , food price is increasing weekly by a lot , rent went up 50% to 100% in most of miami , car insurance going up by 50% when you try to renovate it while the minimum salary need to be raised at least $5 an hour more in order to cover minimum necessities

I moved my wife and kids the hell out Miami!! Smh Born and raised in Miami and let me tell you it ain't the same anymore! It's one of worst cities in Florida to live so if your going to move to South Florida stay north of Miami! It's nothing but expensive dump now....

The core problem is affordability: unless you're a remote worker, a Miami salary isn't going to help you pay the house. I work freelance, and without fail, if I get a job from a Miami-based company, I get paid way less than if it were a company based in New York or more northern major city.
@livingsoflo

Agreed 100%. The cost of living went up tremendously and the salaries remained the same, which were already pretty low to begin with. Now it’s just sad how low they are compared to the cost of living

One thing I've learned about people as their freaking lemmings. Someone says Texas is better and next thing you know everyone and heir mom is moving to Texas. Those are New England and New York hear their friends are loving the life in Miami, next thing you know you got a shitload of New Yorkers down there. The grass is not always greener on the other side. Sometimes you need to make the grass greener where you're at.

real estate is not going to crash, at best prices may hold back a bit, and not rise as much, but there will be NO crash, houses that cost $500,000 this year will NOT be $300,000 next year, forget about it.

When I look for rentals in Miami/West Palm Beach area it's so unrealistic for single living. The work there seems opportunistic for my field but the only way to be able to accommodate for it a my point of view would be renting a room from someone. If anyone know somebody that needs a roommate to help and assist in covering their property cost please let me know. Greetings from lake Jackson Texas.

This is an old comment but I happen to be in the same situation right now. I want to move to Wynwood area or somewhat close to it but a decent 1 bedroom apartment is $3000 a month. A two bedroom apartment for $500 more makes a huge difference if I could just find a roommate

Sooooo, why are prices of real estate in miami-dade still going up?
@charlesguzman3452
@charlesguzman3452 Год назад
The developers has gotten greedy. There’s more Aprt & houses than ppl, and the Mortgages are unaffordable.
@Matt_K
@Matt_K Год назад
@@charlesguzman3452 Everything you stated, except greedy developers, is a counter argument to the fact the prices are going up. It comes down to very simple economics of supply and demand. If supply is lower than demand, the prices go up, despite general unaffordability. Besides, in Miami-Dade, if I'm not mistaken, there's no more land to develop new communities; only to purchase older properties and improve them and sell for bloated prices to people who apparently can afford them and are willing to pay.
@charlesguzman3452
@charlesguzman3452 Год назад
@@Matt_K home prices in Miami-Dade soared to 53% as of June 2020, that was the first-year people started leaving. In 2019, median rent prices had already increased 27%, and 61% of the rental population was spending 30% or more of their income on housing. So the (So Call) ppl that can afford these ridiculous price are also leaving.
@Matt_K
@Matt_K Год назад
@@charlesguzman3452 I don't understand fully what you are trying to say. It's simple to me....based on the video tens of thousands of people left Miami, which should indicate higher inventory and/or lower desire to live in that area. However, people are still very much interested in buying Miami homes and consequently the prices went up. Without high demand, prices would drop, but that is NOT the case.

@@MuahMantrue true, I think mrbushlied7742 is referring to Jacksonville’s city population which is technically more than Miami, but compare Miami’s metropolitan area (over 6 million) to Jacksonville’s (below 2 million) that includes Fort Lauderdale and goes as far north as Palm Beach County, Jacksonville’s Metro population looks like a small town from that perspective tbh💀
