Why is Fortnite Dying? 

I am still surprised that the casuals are telling the comp players to "adapt" when the comp players are the ones who adapt to every meta, and casuals got their whole own gamemode because they couldnt adapt to building.

in half a year fortnite has gone from almost 8 million concurrent players to under 1.5 million si yeah i think the new season is a problem

Lowkey casuals are the biggest hypocrites know to exist, they hate the sweats for being good at the game, while they them selfs have been at the same level since 2018. The equiviland would be me complaining that a person has more knowledge than me after he studied for 6 years.

I played legitimately every season from chapter 1 season 2 till nowadays. This is the first season I played around 5 games and haven’t touched it since. I am not as good as I used to be and don’t have as much time as I used to have. 7 years ago I was still in highschool and had a lot of time for gaming and I was a sweat. I was quite good but now I am working full time and have many other hobbies so I would say now I am more of a casual gamer but I don’t get it. Why are casual gamers happy if there is some completely unskilled item that pretty much ruins every game. This is really the worst season I ever saw and I played the mech season a lot.

I will say a lot of people are getting older, most of my friends are getting older so they have less time for gaming in general. Most people are i feel growing out of Fortnite.

Ranked has been so much fun since they did the switch of loot pools. It’s crazy how much more fun I’m having now , wish this was the whole season I would’ve grinded

Honestly the skill based match making is fucking amazing I just think 💭 doing a 2.0 upgraded version where queue times are longer when getting into higher ranks and the division combined would make the competitive successful finally and add better rewards while playing for weeks to get on the highest leaderboards ✅

I also think Donald Mustard leaving was one of the worst things that happened to fortnite. I get the OG season was awesome but holy shit fortnite seasons have been utterly awful since then.

I have a idea mash the arena points format system and percentages of what rank you are together for all of the divisions that’s not dam hard enough just takes a few months to make that happen 😳

They need to revert the movement as well the old movement looked so much cleaner in clips and the new movement looks so much botty.. Ever since they released the new movement my double movement doesn't work in game and in Creative 2.0 maps only the old maps

I’m glad that the creator mentioned the ranked queue time issue. It’s not longer a problem in chapter 5 but back in chapter 4 it was really bad. There would be screenshots of people in a queue for hours

i quit playing the game this season because of the car and nitro fist were meh but started again when reload came out and im actually enjoying the game lol first game back to ranked build br and got the win they just need to stop adding dumbass shit (also im a casual player) but like ranked

The main problem with Fortnite I have is the SBMM being innacurate as I always get paired with players a lot higher than my current skill level. It’s the one thing that put me off playing BR loads and where I moved to mainly Fortnite Festival. If SBMM got tweaked to add a few extra tiers of matchmaking it might help balance it out. Or if they wanna make it more chaotic then remove SBMM from the casual playlist and have that be where all the fun items can roam where they won’t need much nerfs and have ranked be the more serious side of fortnite with SBMM and a balanced gameplay system. Then with that epic should hopefully have a sweet spot where they have both sides of the player base happy and player count goes back up

In my experience i like ranked with no vehicles. Im Diamond and getting put in games with unreal players. Matching making is the true culprit. Fist also need to go in ranked final circle is just a bunch of people flying around.

None of my frinds play anymore. Thats whay i moved to xdefiant. Sad. It used to be an awesome game

They gonna bring back the OG season to bring people back again

I hope Fortnite keeps the loot pool without cars and broken items because it makes ranked more skillful and fun

Ways epic can save Fortnite: 1. Seperate Comp loot pools from Casual loot pools 2. Add siphon back in ranked 3. Fix ranked (add a counter that we can see during the match that tells us how much rank we got/lost (this is just something I think would be nice) 4. Bring back the bright vibrant colors / cartoonyish graphics that made everyone fall in love with the game in the first place (dosnt have to be ch1, it should be like ch2 3 or 4) 5. Change the loading screen (when you launch the game) from all of the different modes (lego fn, rocket racing, etc...) 6. Bring back the storyline 7. Fix all of the bugs 8. Bring back the 3d old lobby screen and bring back the old UI (looked way more clean and didnt have to scroll through a billion red vs blue maps to find the core modes 9. Bring back the weekly updates where there was actual good content (like map updates and maybe a new wepon, not just a new wepon and a patch for a glitch that souldnt have been there in the first place) These are just some things I think epic should do 😁

I haven’t played the actual game much only really played reload and creative this season , so I don’t know how bad this season actually is, but I’ve heard a lot of my friends who are casuals say they hate this season

fortnite is at its best when it is simple. Both comp and casual thrive when the game is simple but still fun. Epic does not understand that the simplicity of the game is what brought then their success in the first place. Simplicity is the key to fortnite being a popular game whether in loot pools graphics and maps.

why did they change the way the damage values cascade? Although it appears like a really small change, that made Fortnite extremely unique

im part of the people that quit after 6 years of playing this game almost DAILY, but ch5 just flipped a switch in my head everything just feels off, i still hate the new movement we got, gunplay with this chapter feels horrible compared to OG or anything before that, it doesnt feel like the game it was until now, i dont even need to start with how actually just "mid" the map is there is ofc tons of more shit that got worse over the years, for example the whole comp vs casual loot pool, new ranked overall, horrible UI changes, lack of LTM's/overall variety, SBMM (!!!!) but i dont need to mention allat

For me something that made me play fortnite less was the ping. I always enjoyed playing competitively. I live in Portugal and play Eu and my ping in game used to be around 40/50 since some weeks back, my ping was been terrible. I'm playing on around 80, even on some creative maps. I used to spend lots of hours on creative and my ping there was around 20. Now it's around 60/80, and I'm not able to play the game the same way. I dont know if this is Epic's fault, but it does not feel good. To top off, it feels like the thousands of hours I put in perfecting my builds are pointless, with each update building gets nerf by the adding of broken items. The only thing that makes me not quit fortnite is the lack of a good game that I enjoy, and I'm willing to spend my time in.

Why I never liked the idea of a comp scene in a game like Fortnite. You have games like rainbow six siege, league of legends, and valorant that all focus mainly on competitive in their games. So much so that you’ll probably barely find any big streamers and RU-vidrs who are only making casual based content. Most are making a mix or fully comp content. Fortnite is the opposite, epic focuses on casuals more and many streamers and RU-vidrs are more casual focused. This causes a rift of zero satisfaction in the player base. Basically making both sides feel they are being cheaped out on when in reality, both are getting enough in my opinion. I feel epic should’ve have implemented a separation in the loot pool long ago, however to say that comp is so unfortunate and they never get anything is crazy, but it’s the way some people are acting. The biggest loser of all players is the save the world player, the one the game was made for initially

I wouldn’t be surprised if syphon comes back soon. There are signs that Epic is concerned about the player count. Like Reload randomly coming out and leakers had no clue about it or the change of loot pools. Judging by the numbers last night- they’re going to have to take more steps. I only saw a 10k increase in ranked while playing last night. Then again, Epic always does this. It’s like they enjoy running their game into the ground and then bring something back that everyone likes to save it. I personally think they took too long to balance the items this time though.

5:17 I think skill based has gotten a lot better finally in Chapter 5 but back then it sucked when most of my games I'm fighting literal AI's and then at the end of the match I'm just going to die to that one really sweaty player in my lobby.

Bad publicity is better than no publicity, having you hating the game or loving the game as long as your talking about the game and continue to talk about the game it s not changing. Everyone has a different take on fun, as a casual player I can see why comp players aren't liking this season. I dont care for the SBMM, I dont want to fight someone equally as good as me or something not real every game. In red vs blue or the pit yeah some players suck and some are cracked but atleast i know they re real. Id rather lose to someone cracked then lose to someone as good as me by a mistake or not keeping up with the current meta, unlimited sprint would be a better trade for Nitro fists, TMNT katanas etc... Game is so slow with the sprint smh

the only thing i really dont agree with is this season being the worst season of all time honestly the number one reason why no one is playing is due to epic games screwing over both sides casuals enjoyed the first week or 2 of this season at first i hated it but it was due to me not realizing the sheer amount of braindead fun you could have with fists and cars but since they nerfed the fists and cars instead of adding reasonable counter play now pubs feel absouloutely horrible and comp feels even worse rn if your whole gimick for a season is made useless within 2 weeks of the new season whats the point in playing rn the game feels like a 5/10 the worst season of all time hands down gotta be chapter 2 season 1 or that stupid ass jungle season #MAKEFORTNITEGREATAGAIN - split the loot pools - re add the op braindead fun stuff - add counterplay - update the reload gamemode and mix and match stuff from other seasons like the chapter 4 lootpool and pois - re add siphon and add more fun items like dynamite boom boxes grapplers gliders shockwave hammer etc.

Nothing but clickbait. This always comes up. Fortnite is not going nowhere. All these streamers would have to realize that IF it dies; they lost revenue. Would either be done streaming or find a new game. IF that was truly the case, most would branch out to stream different games right now. So far, very few have branched out. And EVERY game that has Rank, complains about the loot pool, etc. This isn’t just Fortnite. No development team has come up with a solution.
