Dont worry professor you will not lose a single subscriber Indians will never mind being incorrect Because being incorrect is first step in learning :)
Teaching , problem solving and problem creation are different cups of tea . No shame when we can't solve a problem created by someone else. Learning honestly from that failure makes you dig deeper into the beauty of physics 🙂
At this age.. You are still reading physics.. That itself is an inspiration to all of us. Every physicist is always a student of physics. Hat's off to you and Mr. HCVerma.
Prof Lewin you will never loose 1 million indian subscribers. We love physics and it's not about lewin or verma. Human beings can make mistakes. And we should learn from each other. I Love both of you as your lectures helped me to learn a lot in physics. LOVE FROM INDIA
Every person who discovers something new faces failure. Physics is a subject with infinite possibilities and discoveries. Both Professors are the best all over the world. Both of them are the true lovers of Physics and their love towards physics takes them to new thoughts and discoveries. Everyone faces contradictions. It's just like Huygens correcting the Newton's Corpuscle theory. Professors you are all, the best an inspiration that have made me fall in love with physics. -To Professor Lewin, Lots of Love from India -To Professor Verma, Our love was always there with you. Thank you for guiding me and many other souls towards the heavenly world of physics and helping me dive deep in!! Thank You
I just want point out here that JEE ADVANCED problems are few of the coolest ones in the world. Even many professors and scientists have a hard time solving these problems. The worst part is that 12th grade students are expected to solve these problems.
So is Irodov's. I don't think any IITian ever happened without taking a look at Irodov's book at least once. But that doesn't mean Sir Irodov should have called out names and declared them as "wrong". Calling others wrong is distasteful when the matter under discussion is still debatable.
I agree with you but you didn't have to write India in the comment, you aren't respecting him.because you are from India, it's just thst you respect him nonetheless
Respect to you Sir- No Comments on Concept of Physics by HC Verma.. I am not Qualified to comment on it. But I truely love the way you TEACH physics and help us to understand how Nature works..Thank you Professor..
Sir sir sir ! Sir you are so white , see i am brown from koltaka , basically an honorary white , i am writing to inform you that we are proud to be first people to become colonised when British came to India ,....we gave up without fighting ! i am proud bongali from that land!
We should appreciate the honesty of people who accept that they cannot solve this problem. Some great people are so honest they accept that cannot solve some undergraduate problems. We need to appreciate them. It is very rare to find such people.
@@srsanderson4932 it is, the interaction of magnetic fields with superconductors is taught in final year undergrad physics. The question itself was not that tricky if you understood the Miesner effect and the details of how it is generated. I was shocked that many physicists could not even solve it !!
@@nobel.z4266 there are many subfields in physics, they may be physicists in very different fields that have got nothing to do with E&M and haven't really touched the subject in a long time. And they might also be experimental physicist on top of that
yes , also its nothing big , our sir tells us many times that this derivation is given wrong in hcv , to make it easy , though result is correct , it made some assumptions to simplify an otherwise lengthy proof
Respected Sir, As an Indian student it's your Duty as a physics teacher to do corrections whether it's a teacher or students and you done it ! EXCELLENT............ 👍Great job sir For the love of physics ❤️❤️❤️
I started watching your videos when I was in 11th grade, and you have helped me reach one of India's most prestigious university (I do not want to name it here), and I am very thankful to you Sir, from the bottom of my heart, you are one of the best teachers I ever came across. I hope I get the chance to meet you in person some day and get a signed copy of your book "For the Love of Physics"
i discovered you today and im already enchanted by your presence, i love physics but its always been a very tough subject for me. i hope by watching your videos i will get better at it. thankyou so much sir.
Even Einstein did mistake when he did not accept the implication of his own equations about the expanding universe! Greats will be Greats. We love both of you "Walter Lewin" and "H.C.Verma" ❤️
not accepting unproven implications is not a mistake. Einstein did however publish his cosmological constant as an unproven possibility and that was precient
Dear Sir I have been student of HC Verma sir via. his online coureses and I have heard most of his talks. I know that being wrong will olny excite him even more and increase his love for physics and in no way can it upset him. For me it's vey good experiance that scientists around the globe are taking part in this unique and beautiful pursuit of physics and I am so glad to be part of it. For the first time I feel integrated part of Scientist's community and it's only been possible because of your insightful videos. Thank You so much for this ❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏
No single Indian is going to un follow you Sir... Discussing and correcting knowledge is India's fundamental traditions which is known as Shastrarth. So we admire your courage and intention. Thankyou 🙏🙏🙏😊
@@lecturesbywalterlewin.they9259 Thankyou very much Sir for your kind reply. Your reply is a like blessings for me.🙏🙏🙏 May You Live Long. Love and Respect😊
@@neyazahmad76Well, guess what, we do! You'll never hear a science teacher saying that their approach is the only right approach to a question, there can be multiple ways to get to an answer, one might be better than the other.

I bet you are going to get so many more Indian subscribers or friends after this.. You won't lose a single one Professor. We all have great respect for both of you.. Few mistakes cannot define legacy of H. C. Verma Sir.. Long live Professor ❤❤❤❤
Sir, just now found your channel and subscribed..Sir,your wholehearted love towards physics is infinite💖 You shall always stay healthy and happy with your family sir .. Lots n lots of love and respect from India🇮🇳💝
In Physics all approaches are never absolutely correct. There's always some room for something better. Honest physicists don't believe in being the "best" but believe in being "better". Its because of this unbiased mindset of physicsists, physics develops. Sir, you both are giants in the community of Physics teachers. We love you both.
Hi somebody helps me to understand it I didn't understand, superconducting conducts electricity without resistance than why he is there is no electricity on the surface of the super conductor
U just add 1 indian subscriber sir . science is all about arguing things even Newton himself was not correct but it can't stop him from becoming a genius .we love you and also Verma sir 😍😊😊
No one is perfect in this world. Not even Newton who was further corrected by Einstein. It is not going to happen of losing 1 million Indian students. Bcoz everyone loves you and your way of explanation including your humbleness. I'm always feeling proud that I've got such a big opportunity in my life to study with your lectures. After studying with your lectures...the feeling is just like what your Channel's last words are. ❤️😍💯

Basically in HC Verma sir's solution he mentioned that current will be in superconductor but actually it is just on the surface and not inside the superconductor. All he has to mention was tha current is on surface. Well it was just amazing question for the understating, thanks for your time to come up with this.
I did not see that coming, what a beautiful and simple solution to a beautiful and simple question! Looking forward to next weeks problem. Thanks again for sharing with us. And also, I think the new haircut looks nice.

4:48 Sir, I have a question: According to you, at the surface of the superconductor, there is a current and therefore it gives rise to magnetic field and that can cancel out incoming varying magnetic field. However, if we change direction of incoming magnetic field (suppose previously the magnetic field was growing in intensity in n type and now incoming magnetic field is increasing in s type, i.e., you are bringing the s pole closer to the loop instead of the n pole), is it be still opossed by the same current that was present at the surface of the superconductor? If yes, then why?

Sir, we Indians respect our teachers and professors very much. You, professor Verma, or be it any other teacher, we are never gonna hate someone who is doing a brilliant job of educating people. Being wrong is no humiliation for us. We accept our mistakes very politely and try to make ourselves better.
What can we learn:- Mistakes don't make u a loser Instead they are proof that u tried hard Even great personalities commit mistake But they look it as an opportunity to learn what went wrong So dont stress if u fail

we'll never leave you Professor..... and I'm really very much pleased to see that you made a video on why Professor Verma is wrong for the sake of your students..... take care Professor stay safe :)
5:20 we dont even hold the position to question the legitimacy of their argument as they have devoted their entire life to physics and we are just a baby born having just started to learn physics.sir dont worry smart students know that questioning your argument is a skill that is beyond our boundaries in physics and we in no way are close to doing it yet
This series of positive comments makes my heart go la laa land.... We have high hope for scientific views in the world of racism, communalism and bhaktism.

I am a 9th grader & I started watching your videos & lectures from 8th grade & started watching HC Verma video lectures from the beginning of 9th. Both of you are amazing!! For the love of Physics I am so glad that I found both of your channels at this early age. Never met such a great Physics teacher like you sir!! I will surely love to meet you someday. Lots of Love & respect from India. !! "Walter Lewin" & "HC Verma" are the best - for the love of Physics⚛!!
NO! HC Verma's solution is not wrong. I think you completely misunderstood his explanation, as he repeatedly said that the Electric field inside the superconductor must be zero. So what he meant by the "currents" was actually the "surface currents" which produce an opposite magnetic field internally which cancels the electric field in the wire. His explanation makes complete sense and is exactly the same as your answer! Please watch his video again.
"surface currents" is the main heart of prof. lewin's answer. this is the main concept and beauty of the solution (if you already know other concepts used in the problem). lookup meissner effect first. no need to feel bad. we are lucky that people like prof. verma and prof. lewin are able to share ideas on a public platform. even einstein gave different theory than newton. it does not mean that newton was humiliated. when the intention is to seek truth - truth alone is the winner
Walter lewin sir, you are one of the greatest physicist in this era. Everyone in India wants to learn physics from u, its our good fortune that we get chance to learn physics from u. Thank u sir ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️,
you wont loose a single subscriber from india...we love u sir.....by the i have explained this a little bit in u r previous video comment section about the solution of the problem that u have given
Professor, you will not lose your million subscribers because science is a field in which we make many mistakes, from Galileo's understanding of the speed of light to Maxwell's concept of the luminiferous aether. So, do not worry. 😊 Love from your Indian student.
@lecturesbywalterlewin.they9259 sir with due respect, you don't have to say thanks . Actually its us who have to thank you for teaching us many things 🕴
Sir you are great as always. You are not proving our dearest prof. HC Verma sir wrong. It is the difference of approaches which is being conveyed to the audience by you. Immense respect for both the geniuses of our era🙏🏻. And as always,, lots of love and wishes to you from India🙏🏻
If you don’t know; you don’t know… That is not bad. However… Once you learn you don’t know… You need to fix that by learning from someone who knows. Walter Lewin has been teaching Physics to people for about 70 years…. I reckon you can trust him to teach you Physics 🙏
HC verma nor Lewin know all physics. One should not claim that he knows everything. There are lots of problems can't be solved by Lewin too.No one knows everything
I don't think Hc Verma was that wrong with his explanation. First of all, he was making the video cuz various students asked him to and he was just providing a gist to that solution. Major concept that is involved in this question is the presence of current due to change in flux which indeed produces a flux that exactly cancels the flux by the magnet which results in net 0 field presence. Most people when hearing a zero flux would think there should not be any current but realization in this question was that due to current there is an equally opposite field that produces a net-zero effect (this idea was provided by Verma sir). Going to details where Hc Verma got it wrong was the location of this current which is actually the surface but I don't think he gave that much priority to the location as he considered explaining the above phenomenon more imp. Also coming to Lenz law, due to change in flux there is a current produced which produces an equally opposite field to cancel it ...... this indeed is deduced to Lenz law only which says(approximately) due to change in mag field there is current produced due to which field in opposite dirn arrises to the original. The only diff is in the case of a superconductor is that it perfectly cancels....... Btw u doing a great job putting out new questions and u will not lose 1 million rather gain cuz we Indians never discourage healthy discussions. Thanks, Walter sir for keeping us inspired.
Yes you said it correctly, prof Verma has not emphasised on the location of current but overall core of the concept that is how magnetic flux becomes zero was perfectly handled by Verma sir.
Moreover he mentioned that in a superconductor, there is no electric field inside, and hence no current in the inside of the conductor.... Which clearly reflects the Meissner effect. And he argues that there will an opposing magnetic field, similar to the Lenz law, which is also correct. Hence, I find Walter's and Verma's solution similar
You aren't losing any one of the Indian sub sir. Actually I would love if you and HC Verma sir make video together debating over those questions and removing all the misconceptions from our minds.
