St Patrick’s day is very much a real thing in Ireland. St Patrick drove the snakes out of Ireland, he was a British person who got taken in raids along the British coastline by Irish raiders, sold as a slave to be a sheep herder. He got back home eventually and decided to bring Catholicism to the Irish pagans. He used the shamrock ☘️ to teach about the father, the son and the Holy Spirit, which the three parts stand for each. So basically he’s our patron saint because he converted the Irish to Catholicism. Or so the story goes. We also have St Bridget, she has her own special cross, she actually had magical powers. I think she may be interwoven with an old Irish pagan goddess. Edit: side note to be fair a lot of us don’t actually do anything on the day except relax at home. Only the young ones go out drinking and the tourists

Mega Desk is one of my favorite B plots in an episode. It’s just so silly, it feels like a cold open bit extended into a full episode, classic office shenanigans

The Luck of the Irish was also one of my favorite Disney Channel Original Film. The plot is a high schooler learns he's part leprechaun and when his family's lucky coin is stolen, he starts to turn into a leprechaun. Also, you can say leprechaun, just don't use it to refer to all Irish people.

It's blue. Or more accurately: in the 21st century western English-speaking perception it's blue. Yes, it's a blue that has some yellow in it, but the balance is not enough to make it a shade of green. Suraj isn't completely off base calling it a "dark sea foam green" but this is sort of the blue corollary of that color. Sea foam green is a green that has a lot of blue in it, but it's not arguably blue, it's definitely green. It can be kind of hard to draw an exact line on the color spectrum for when something moves from one color base to another, but if you draw that blurry line between blue and green, sea foam is easy to place on the green side, and Suraj's shirt is just as easy to place on the blue. This is actually a little bluer than a typical teal color, which is genuinely a little more ambiguous on the blue/green scale. If I had to name it, I'd call it cerulean blue, though it's more on the yellower edge of cerulean's umbrella. It's worth being aware though, that color perception is pretty culturally dependent. Cultures that don't/didn't have as many words for different colors genuinely have more difficulty differentiating between in-between colors like this, and may put the blue-green line somewhere else, or not even HAVE a blue-green line at all, considering it a single color. Orange at one point was not considered a distinct color, but just a shade of red. Sort of weird and fascinating that someone's upbringing and descriptive vocabulary actually has a tangible impact on something that seems like a pure physical attribute.
