i got one true loves from my library and really enjoyed it!! it was a quick read and a sweet story. btw it’s a spin off of another book (happily ever afters) but it’s not really necessary to read that one before reading one true loves.

I thought it was ok, but I definitely don't get why it seems so popular. I liked it more than Addie Larue, which literally gave me depression that I couldn't even bring myself to finish it.
@@ivyblack8145 I liked Addie, it was decent, but slow, and the ending was bad, but Atlas was super pretentious. And I also started a Curse so Dark and Lonely and never finished it cuz the main girl was so annoying
I was the same with kingdom of ash and then I re-read the series last year. Let's just say that I am sure I blocked that book out as a traumatic response 😂 still so good and I will probably read this series a hundred more times.
Ooohh I spy Lunar Chronicles on those gorgeous shelves! I LOVED that series! I keep meaning to try Sara Maas but haven’t gotten around to it yet. Does she have a similar vibe?
Yes I loveee the Lunar Chronicles!! I would say that Sarah J Mass’ books are quite a different vibe with the whole world and characters. More for an older teen to adult audience. But I do highly recommend them!!
@@thebookassassin that could be fun! Some of the Retellings I’ve read this year are definitely not for the younger audience. My favorite has to be the pair I read where the classic princesses are violent criminals 😂
I cannot complete this challenge, I only have to pick up a book that I've read to remember the key points of the plot and most of the main characters. Even if I've not read it for like 20 years.
@@thebookassassin To be fair I've not read a huge amount of new books in the last 20 years, and when I did read, I read most of them at least twice, or they were part of a multipart series.
Ooh, Kingdom of Ash, I'm not up to that one. I'm rereading the series, up to Queen of Shadows rn, but keen for the spice in Empire of Storms and the adventure prescribed in Tower of Dawn. Hoping Kingdom of Ash lives up to the hype
17? I have only 8. 3 of them are from the library, two are textbooks. I can't buy books coz I wouldn't read them. If I borrow them, I know I have to return them in a month, so I better start reading!
@peeta9928 it's such a good series! I have all of her books, and I have the latest on pre-order, but I definitely agree that books are expensive. The most expensive one I own is over £500
@@Ghost-ws5sc I’ve only read the first book, I’m waiting to get enough job money to buy a few more of the series off Amazon (since where I live the nearest bookstore is over an hour away). And dang, was it worth it?
@peeta9928 The book was infact worth it, surprisingly! It was a first edition of a classic book, so the price wasn't actually too bad. Still wouldn't spend that much again though!
