When Dr Michael Morbius looked and pointed into the camera and said “The morb is within your heart” I couldn’t hold back tears.

My favorite "current" Morbius meme is people jokingly saying "Guys, stop memeing Morbius, or some out of touch Film Exec is going to ACTUALLY make another Morbius."

It's funny because I truly believe 90% of the meme's appeal is how funny it is to say "Morb".

I cried so much in that scene of the movie where Uncle Morbius got shot and told Morbius with his last breath, "with great morbius comes great morbius". Then in tears Morbius says his catchphrase "It's Morbin time"

When Morbius says "perfectly morbed, as all things should be" to Joker, it was such an emotional scene

I literally cried when Venom and Morbius became one and said, "We are Mornom."

My theory is that the longevity of the meme comes from increasing superhero fatigue and continuous exposure to mediocre content. I love the MCU, I was raised with the MCU and I grew to love the characters; With that being said they're increasingly becoming more blatant in how formulaic they've become. And every series outside of the MCU, and every series outside of Disney is attempting and/or rushing to make their own cinematic universe with grandiose plots. I think the reason why Morbius is getting clowned on so hard is that Morbius encapsulated all of the issues with modern cinema, rushed and formulaic plot, poor editing, a flat two-dimensional villain (who chewed the scenery so hard and was probably the best part of the movie), flat characters, subpar CGI (Although I like that smoke effect, however, I can see why people hate it) and an actor who tries too hard in all the wrong places, all of this making the most by the book movies of the 21st century. And this meme lasting so long only shows how sick of it people are. Morb out!

Why is “its morbing time” such a good meme? Three reasons. 1: the sentence “it’s morbing time” suggest Morbius is so egotistical that he even uses his own name as part of his own catchphrase. Not only does this line up perfectly with Jay Leno’s behaviour, but it also lines up with the memes that act like the movie is a masterpiece just for saying ridiculously mediocre lines at best. 2: “it’s morbing time” is a blatant rip off of power rangers “it’s morphing time”, which suggests the movie’s supposedly strongest scene is when it copies something else. This lines up with the memes where people claim Morbius also rips off other movies, particularly the much better MCU films it so clearly wants to hang out with. 3: because we technically do not know what the word “morb” means, “it’s morbing time” is a nonsense phrase that could mean pretty much anything. Sure, most assume “morbing” refers to the cheesy feral vampire growls in the film, but there’s really nothing stopping us from claiming Morbius says it before scoring a turkey in a bowling game against the bad guys. This lines up perfectly with the memes where people get ridiculously vague about the film Morbius, the stuff that happens in it, and the strengths it supposedly has. Hell, because nobody knows how much a “morbillion” is, you can say that’s how much the film made without technically lying. So yeah, the phase “it’s morbing time” sums up Morbius pretty well: it’s way too arrogant and self absorbed for its own good, has just as much originality as the movie, aka none whatsoever, and is pretty much a nothing burger whose only value is clearly far less than what people are claiming it is.

Such a brilliant movie. It's truly a masterpiece. My favorite line is when Thanos says *"I am inevitable"* But then Morbius says *"And I...am... **_morbin"_* and then Thanos gets morbed all over. So beautiful. True artistry.

At the very start of the Morbius trend the movie had so many different memes. “Morbius sweep” “First movie to sell 1 morbillion tickets” “now it’s Real men’s turn” “the movie was freakin”. All have been eclipsed by “it’s morbin time”. It’s actually impressive how dominant it became

Imagine if they do make a sequel. Imagine that it's actually good. Then just realize that it came to be in part due to memes. What a time to be alive that would be. An enorbius moment in history.

My favorite part of the movie was the end where Morbius sits down on an armchair and tells the audience "Well, I guess we learned today that the morb was in us the whole time." before winking and having an iris wipe close the film. I don't cry ever, but that part just made me start weeping because of how real it felt.

I see morbius as the same kind of joke as among us, its something that was hyped up for one reason or another and became super oversaturated. However the simple fact of "the joke is old and annoying" is the same reason people keep making it. Jokes like these take a while to die, and they might never truly die. They are funny because they are not funny at all.

I think that Morbius’ big difference from modern sound effects “lasting” for a long time (like the vine boom) is that Morbius isn’t an effect to add to a topic to enhance it, but it’s the topic itself and meme based on topics like movies are the ones that die the fastest.

It was never about "morbi-me", "morbi-you" but "morbi-us". Truly, this is the greatest lesson I have ever learned from a movie in my entire life, really! With that - It's morbin' time, people!

I always had a strange feeling that this meme seemed to bend the fundamentals of meme life and become even more popular two months after it became mainstream rather than dying out

I think part of it's longevity stems from the joke being how self-overhyped and formulaic the movie is, so when the meme becomes self-congradulatory and overdone (when a meme usually begins to die) it only continues to represent what it always did.

Although some may disagree, in my opinion, Morbius was truly one of the movies ever made. The script was a script and the actors were some the actors for the film. I absolutely love Morbius memes, I actually think it’s incredible how most people haven’t even seen the film and are just meming it so much with stuff like “It’s Morbin’ Time” which isn’t even from the film. I totally fell for the Morbius 2 thing and I think it’ll be hilarious if it actually comes out and I hope people far in the future look back on the 2020’s and wish a copy of Morbius survived as the ancient texts and images call it the best movie ever.

Morbius completely reshaped my very existence. Before Morbius I was partially elated to witness such a work of cinematography. When it finally came out, I was beyond stupefied. This film, on its own, manages to completely overhaul our preconceptions of modern cinema and transform it into the masterstroke that people have made it seem. I look at the reviews that praise the movie and scoff. What fools! They completely misunderstand the surreal, philosophical and existential implications of the existence of such a picture. In my heightened wisdom and ameliorated cognition, I can easily deduce the true underlying beauty behind the motion picture Morbius. To explain it via text would not do the film justice; you must experience it for yourself. I sit here, pondering if any piece of art would be able to replicate or surpass such a creation, and after some deep analysis I came to a terrifying conclusion: Morbius has completely killed the very concept of art. Such a beautifully executed plan cannot be replicated, it is a thermodynamic miracle, and because the standard of film has skyrocketed to such alpine quantum, no other piece of art, be it painted or literary could possibly surpass it. I find myself in a deep state of sorrow, as the very thing I grew up with was murdered by what can only be described as a movie made by the gods. However, this transcendental artistic specimen is so indefectible, it merits an infinite number of viewings. Morbius is the only film you will ever need to see. In the generations that follow, children will learn of such success of the human mind, and become like gods due to their minds transcending the measly conventions of modern cinematography. With great pleasure and satisfaction, I can pray to God and say "Thank you for creating Daniel Espinosa, because he created one of the films of all time".
