You have to remember a few things about the Christian belief system. One is utter disdain for humanity. In that religion, humans are depraved sinners who are easily tempted by evil. If you open yourself up even a little to the devil, or are not properly protected by god's magic, then the devil can use his magic, or Jedi mind tricks or whatever, to make you do evil things. For example, if time travel or even foretelling the future is possible, and we just don't know how to do it yet, that means free will is impossible. If you can travel or see into the future, it must mean that the future exists simultaneously with the present, because you can't travel or see into something that doesn't exist. This means that everything anyone ever does or ever did cannot change the future, since it's already happening. This basically means there cannot be free will because everyone is mocing very precisely according to the events needed to make the future true. Free will is even more fragile if you believe a god that can see into the future and is all powerful is real. If God created everything to go exactly as hebplanned, we cannot have free will because even our disobedience of god's plan would have been foreseen by god and be a part of god's plan. A person killing is bad (usually) because they cannot control the sould of that person and has destroyed the only thing they can. The intention of entirely destroying this person, even though they cant destroy the soul, makes it evil. God has power to destroy the soul. If He did, that would be evil. But He doesn't. He does destroy the flesh though, which is not the whole person, and arguably not them at all. This doesn't absolve God from hurting people though. I mean, technically He can murder and it not be bad, but its still really bogus. God has done some pretty horrible stuff (at least in our shortsighted view), and there is no debating that. But things like the flood, the killing of the Amelakites; stuff like that was justified, even though its was harsh and quite horrifying. If I could be God, I would've done things differently. But 1. We still don't understand the full context of His acts and if we were God and knew every path of reality caused by His decisions along with the full philosophical implications of distorting reality to suite empathy, who's to say we wouldn't do that same thing? Nothing. Trust me. We are way more shortsighted than this guy teaches you we are. And 2. What's the merit of calling God evil, if you arent going to change anything by doing so? There is no end but Him. Everyone will have to answer to Him in due time. This is not like overthrowing a dictator, no one can overpower Him. Literally, conceptually and entirely, no one can overthrow Him. No amount of complaining will end His power. He'll just be really hurt that you don't love Him.

We don't know exactly how many people we are damning to eternal hellfire when we kill, so God just tells us not to do it. He still has to destroy evil though. That's why He never said "killing is wrong" he just said "don't do it". Yes you can be forgiven for murder, so technically the murder was not punished and was inconsequential. That's just the double sidedness of forgiveness. Would it have been better to just send all sinners to hell? Then we'd all burn in hell. I mean, just because somebody dies doesn't automatically they go to heaven though. If you went out of your way to kill an atheist and he never went out of his way to repent than he goes to hell. And, even if you say your Christian but don't go out of your way to truly, sincerely, believe in god you go to hell. And, even if you do truly believe God you could still go to hell because God has final say on whether or not you go to heaven or hell, if he decides your good doesn't out way your bad you go to hell. Also, your kind of missing the point the person who died have had friends and family they left behind on earth and they have to wait an entire lifetime to see them again. Also, the person who died wont have the opportunity to experience all the sights, sounds, feelings and sensations that you can only really experience being alive. Killing them would rob them of that.
