Hello RevelatorAlf.. The problem I have with the "speedo" on my 2018 Fatboy is when I switch to KMs (all fine with the readout as I see the needle jump),turn the bike off (for petrol say),turn the bike on again and ride off,the speedo has reverted to MPH but the digital readout is still in KMs,so I have to scroll through,change BACK to MPH and then BACK again to KMs to get the dial to read in KMs! Have you come across this,or heard of it? Many thanks Tim

umymummi his fella and thanks for that. That sounds like a fault as it should only return to what you have set yourself. Once you set it it should stay the same. In would go get it check out and get a second opinion too. If your bike is under warranty, try to get it changed out. I doubt it is the IM but it could be a communication error between the ECM and BCM. Also check for error codes too. Watch my other videos for info on that. Hope that helps cheers

My concern with inaccuracies...is the effect on the odometer...registering incorrect mileage.

The proper way to identify the discrepancy is in percentage. This is due to the fact the sensor is a rotational sensor about a particular diameter. My HD bikes are dead on, but my BMW is about 3% off, always reading lower than GPS. Sometimes when people swap to 80/20 tires and increase the diameter of the tire, this can affect accuracy as well and the sensor will read lower than actual. What's crazy is that in these days, why can't this be calibrated? Especially on my BMW GSA that is tech galore! Honestly, just give us +/- 5% adjustment and I'll bet it fixes most sensors vs. GPS.

Does the change from Mph to KM also impact on the reading of the fuel to Reserv? Man you are amazing thank you for your videos!

Not from home as far as I home. A dealership should be able to test that but I've not come across that myself. Cheers

Did you have an Idea why my Speedometer shows me Miles after ignition off and start my bike new. I change for Kliometers like you show here in the video. I switch Ignition of and start my engine new. And my speedometer shows miles once more...I change in Kilometers once more and after turn off and start new ....miles ...arrggggg

Hmmm that sounds odd. It could just be a glitch in the IM. Have you checked for error codes?

@@RevelatorAlf no not yet but i try to let check it next week . I just bought the SG last week and i hope its a little problem. Did the Kilometer mode stay in kilometer if you start new? Or did it switch automaticly back to miles after switch off igintion on your SG? Just the Speedometerpointer?

My speedometer is correct, the gas gauge sucks on my Sport Glide. If the gas light comes on and i fill it up only 2.7 to 2.9 gallons is all it takes to fill up. I understand it has reserves but not that much.

Hmmm that sounds like a sender issue to me as the it shouldn’t come on with that much left on the tank
