The hate on Luka is wild. His team is on a much better trajectory than the bucks, and his performances have rivaled Embiid's who was the favorite before falling out due to injury.
Mavs also have 3x more games missed to injury than the other top 5 in MVP race. Edit: Not to mention Luka has played 40MPG with multiple injuries himself(Quad then Ankle) and literally has a broken nose right now 😂
That’s all some nonsense bucks literally have the trajectory just not recently n Joel was plain out having a better season luka Shai Gianni’s n jokic all have a good chance at winning mvp
Melo should avoid any topic related to Jokic because any comment he makes will be associated with jealousy towards Jokic. Each new potential MVP and NBA title for Jokic is seen by Melo as a threat to his legacy. If he hadn't played in Denver, nobody would compare him to Jokic today and his career would be viewed with more respect. If he doesn't have something nice to say about Jokic as a basketball player, it's better not to mention him because he gives the impression of a frustrated person.
I’m being so serious when I say that Luka should win mvp this year. He’s arguably putting up better numbers in a more impactful manner than guys like Jokic and SGA, and I LOVE Jokic’s game. So this ain’t even to down play his work. This is literally a matter of Luka just being THAT GUY in the league rn
@@SaKuL_W pretty weak excuse. Every team deals with injuries practically all season long. If Luka was more “impactful” than Shai and Jokic then the Mavs wouldn’t be a 7th seed. Lol
@@mydogsnameislucy768Mavs have had more team injuries than OKC and Denver tho. Remember when people were saying that when Joker won as a 6th seed?? Hell, Westbrook won as an 8th seed.
Luka is obviously mvp this year (since embiid is disqualified) if you actually watched the mavs season. If Luka just continues what hes doing and now that their team is healthy and the roster isnt trash all hes gotta do is get higher in the standings and he should be a lock. It is unreal how hard he has carried the mavericks the last 2 years, playing tons of 48 minute games with a historical usage rate with a terrible unhealthy team. But they're healthy and hes got legit help now so the wins will be there
Luka should be mvp and I don’t think it’s a debate. Especially now that the mavs got gafford and pj they have a chance to start winning a lot more consistently
Let’s be real I’m not even a Sixers fan and even I would admit that the vitriol was coming from everyone else. People have been hating on Embiid for years now
@@rahspillz9726 I'm not an Embiid hater, but Embiid did an interview last year where he took shots at his MVP opponent, lmao. They were responsible for all the drama and even for the freaking racial card being thrown by big Perk, lol.
@@OkieDoke-mo1co blaming sixer fans for the ever-changing MVP criteria is stupid. The MVP race all went to shit when they gave it to Jokic as the 6th seed, it clearly Embiid’s his team was better, he was dominating, and had the Ben Simmons storyline. That resulted in shitstorm last year caused by the media not Philly fans
tbh its about time these past 3 seasons hes been doing 2k numbers and still leading a competitive team in the nba and hes like 2 yrs older than me. Def the most valuable player in the whole nba to my eyes
Not only Luka having a historic season (1st in scoring, 3rd in assist, 2nd best 3-point shooting, with 9 boards) but he's also carrying an ambulance of a team, an ambulance that many people would say is is not even particularly talented compared to other teams, his defense has also improved ALOT, most people who have watched would tell you that he has been a good defender(not elite but still) he's the best player in the league and this year MVP, he has achieved more than the other players with less
not to mention, if you adjust missed time with that players WAR the dallas mavericks have been the 3rd most injured team in the league only behind the heat and GRIZZLIES. and 2 players who were starters for us this season are STILL missing time. luka's starting line up has missed 67 games and counting and two guys who have been absolutely huge for the mavs in this win streak, maxi and josh green they have missed 35 games and 13 games respectively. it is a MIRACLE that they are the 7th seed and a testament to how good luka is.
I think the reason jokic isn’t gettin the fatigue tax is because a lot of people feel like he got robbed of mvp last year (I think embiid was totally deserving tho) and his playoff performance basically reset whatever fatigue tax he would’ve faced
thank you, it's was hella shocking to me to see him being this far down in the list, there was even like 19 voters out of the 100 who didn't even put him top 5!! Also the convos around him have been nasty, every time he does something positive espn spins it around and discredit him for it, every time a previous teammate of his does something positive outside of dallas he gets slandered for it, this was a much needed video to confirm for me that there are people out here who recognize what's he's doing.
Dallas has been one of the 3 most injured teams in the nba. They have had damn near 50 different starting lineups. If it hadn't been for injuries they wouldn't be 7th, not to mention they had the toughest schedule right when all the injuries happened. Kyrie has almost missed half of the season so far. And from now on they have the 28th easiest schedule
Subbed. This is the most based opinion I’ve seen about the MVP race. Granted I’m a bit biased towards Luka, BUT I used to be a hater. I was such a hater I started tuning into every game so I would have detailed hate to distribute to the homies. I put him on TV and watched him disassemble nearly all of my favorite players. I watched him destroy all time defenders on the Clippers and all time offensive players on the Suns. He had the best individual performance last season. He has repeated it again this season. THIS GUY IS THE REAL DEAL. The most offense I’ve ever seen out of any player. I understand the hate he gets because I was on that side of the fence. I can promise you, not giving this guy his flowers now will result in a very tough conversation in the future when we discuss who got snubbed out of recognition during this era. Mind you, if Luka put up the stat line of your MVP pick, his numbers would likely take a hit. Cough cough SGA…
The Giannis disrespect is crazy I guess no matter what he does he will always get overlooked this dude has had voting fatigue for the pass 3 years but there willing to give Jokic another mvp just like that
@@sinisterminds2559 telling the truth? sorry but thats not my problem you don't like hearing the truth. Game on the line Giannis is not even in the top 20 players I would want with the ball in his hands.
Mavs have also been one of the most heavily injured teams in the league. Luka’s been doing this all season while missing key starters for the majority of it.
Giannis is getting crazy disrespected imo cause maintaining that 2 seed despite having a terrible coach and Dame playing horribly should be getting more praise
For real didn’t even mention his name in the video it seems no matter what Giannis does he will continue to be overlooked this man has had voter fatigue for the past 3 to 4 years but there willing to give Jokic a another mvp
@@flashgordon1541 no he wouldn't. MVP is not decided on head 2 heads. If it was SGA would be firmly in the lead atm. Jokic didn't win it bc the nuggets went on a really bad losing run to end the season. They even had a stretch where they lost 4 out of 5 games.
It is simply crazy that there is absolutely no talk about Luka Doncic this year, who should be pretty clearly the MVP this season. The Mavs are only 3 games behind the nuggets, despite having the worst injury luck of all teams in the NBA this season and having the inferior roster to start with, all that because of Luka. The man does it all, including defense this season and is definetely the most impactful player in the league, imo even before embiid got hurt. Now after the deadline and with everybody healthy, the Mavs look like the best offense in the league and like a real contender, Luka keeping them alive despite playing playing with several g-league caliber players as starters is ridiculous. If the Mavs finish top 5 in the west, which looks very likely if they stay healthy, there should not even really be a discussion.
I think, in terms of value of contributing to winning, Giannis probably is the most valuable. The rest of the Bucks have been just ass, and Giannis has been a madman doing his best to will his team to wins.
Luka is playing the best individual season this year, he is setting new personal records for almost any stat imaginable. Combine this with his very high usage rate, that's VALUE. He is running this team and it's not even close. Take Luka out and Mavs are nothing (no disrespect). Imho he has to contribute more to his team than other MVP candidates AND he is putting up these numbers. It's wild.
The difference between Jokic and Luka is small enough in terms of stats (once you factor in efficiency and usage) to consider team success important. Now, if continues to dominate and Dallas ends up 5-6, then he probably is the MVP.
He, along with numerous Canadian NBA players, lost to Serbia, a country of 6 million people who played without Jokic and three other players from the starting line-up. He still has a lot to prove as a player. He is in the top ten players and nothing more.
When it comes to the MVP anything significant to the game of basketball will be accounted for. Just due to the fact that the talent is abundant in today’s NBA. Shai has been Winning with the best of them, playing elite on both sides of the ball, doing it with less help, surpassing the expectations placed on him and while leading and elevates his teammates a group of the youngest most inexperienced players in the league. He has also been available only missing 1 game this season. When you take all of this into account Shai is the clear MVP.
I’d like to suggest that the team record in the West means very little- look at how close the rankings are - 1-5 game difference is all that separates these teams right now. Also, Carmelo is making it personal with Jokic and his comments are biased. I’d like to see Luka in there- he’s been in the conversation the past 3/4 years, still getting better every year and has been keeping the team in the playoff range despite all the injuries.
Last yr Giannis averaged 31 11 and 5.7 assists with number 1 seed overall and Middleton missed 50 games. Jokic averaged 24, 11, and 9.8 assists and 4seed overall but they still voted Jokic over Giannis. This yr, Giannis is averaging 30, 11 and 6 assists on 60% shooting. Dame isn't playing good. Middleton missing games and the Bucks still have a higher seed that the Nuggets but somehow Jokic has to be the MVP over Giannis. And Low, you gotta be ashamed of yourself too for not even giving Giannis his credit.
Hey LOW, real talk I want to see an OKC vs Clippers matchup come playoff time. Can you imagine if the Clippers were to be eliminated from playoffs by the same player they traded in order to get PG (who they needed to get in order for Kawhi to sign) and SGA is currently in MVP discussions.
I honestly HATE how they’re disregarding Jokic and Luka.. and let’s be real it’s because they’re foreign players. Those guys have put in the work and added so much to the league just for people’s narratives to mean more FACTS!
The thing being left out of the standing conversation with Luka is the fact that other than Memphis (and maybe 1 more team) no team has had more missed time due to injury than the Mavericks. So the fact they are still right near the 5 seed and only 4-5 back of the 4 is a testament to his ability to carry
@@jonathansykes4986Giannis has being black balled since he decided to sign back with bucks and he only reinforced him being black balled by resigning again this past summer
Giannis is running away with MVP right now, the media reluctance to admit it is just voter fatigue, we will talk about Giannis and MVP the same way they talked about LeBron and MVP in the late 2000's and early 2010's
It's actually crazy because i remember watching the clippers vs warriors in round 1 back in 2018 i think. I didn't really know who Shai was at the time but after that game i followed him on Instagram because i was like "damn this dude is gonna be a star" and it's crazy seeing him become this good.
The +/- speaks for itself. Jokic is just playing a different game than everyone else. In case you're wondering per 100 possessions with Jokic on the court the nuggets are +8.6, for Luka it's 2.8. And the on/off is even more lopsided. Counting stats are nice, but you have to remember that what makes Jokic the Best is his efficiency. He's able to put up amazing counting stats WHILE allowing his teammates to shine. LeBron/Luka ball just can't be more valuable than that.
You’re a victim man lmao +/- is an absolutley abysmal stat to use for someone like Luka who quite literally rests a max of 2 minutes a game sometimes and had a completely injured roster the whole season u know what fhat means? 😱 He is PLAYING with EVERY SINGLE ROTATION, INCLUDING HIS END OF BENCH PLAYERS, which NUKES a players +/-, it makes his on and off completely skewed its an absolutely flawed stat when applied fo contexts , like this
My opinion is Luka literally just has to get like a top 4 seed, and hes won it. To say oh but its been opened up for like 6th seed to win it, that was for russ (in a pretty weak mvp race if we’re being honest) when he averaged a triple double first time since oscar, and then jokic not only had one of the greatest seasons ever, but he done it without mpj and jamal, if anything finishing as the 6th seed was seen as impressive, not “moving the goalpost” and i also just think that even though yes the scoring gap is there a) jokic is the more efficient scorer, and b) man you just watch jokic and its crazy how he puts up crazy stats without even that being his best attribute, jokic can dominate a game and have like 14/9/8, to me thats mvp, although if luka does get to a decent enough seeding, i cant lie i would give it to him.
@@harrisbeard8715 definitely not, harden and kawhi were the closest but harden had like the highest turnover rate in history and kawhis nunbers were good but like, there are just way better seasons.
Finally someone being honest about the MVP race, what the haters gonna be saying when the Mavs close the season as a top 4-5 seed? Probably defense even though he’s actually gotten better on that end this season
Mavs have had twice as many injuries as OKC and DEN but nobody talks about that and I promise if Dallas faces OKC in the playoffs it won’t go 6 games in Dallas favor
Answer this seriously… Jokić is surrounded around guys who know how to cut to the basket and read the game well, while he’s in motion all he does is make a good read, and as a seven footer he should be getting 10 rebounds per game! Other than that what makes Jokic the best player in the world to win MVP this year, seriously answer that…. I don’t think you can give him the competitive edge over Giannis ? if the Bucks had consistent shooters instead of streaky shooters, Giannis would average 10+ assist a game as well. He already rebounds the ball at a high-level. And is extremely dominant on offense, arguably the most dominant player after SHAQ, so why is he being hated by the media so much? … Jason Tatum got eliminated from the playoffs the last five years with NO RINGS and they talk about him for MVP over Giannis when Giannis got eliminated last year due to injury, the year before because he didn’t have his other star player Khris Middleton… so what is the Giannis hate about? I’m starting to think the media is racist against Greek nation…. HES THE BEST PLAYER HANDS DOWN! This is ish is getting outta hand! He’s better than SGA in scoring rebound assist and blocks but yet SGA is ranked higher in MVP list. He’s better than Luka Dončić, with rebounds FG percentage, steals and blocks… he’s beating Jason Tatum and points rebounds assist and blocks… then again, why is he ranked for fifth in MVP candidate race?… does not make any sense… who is the boss some of these guys need to be fired!
He needs to be the first seed in the league along with beating every single top seeded team on national tv in stylish fashion. If we’re being honest the standard for Giannis winning mvp again is much more than the standard for jokic. As a Giannis fan it sucks but I would rather take the fmvp hopefully he can carry Coach Fraud Rivers like he did with bud the dud
I was originally hesitating between Embiid and Jokic... (before Embiid's injury) Right now, i'd say Doncic. But, i wouldn't be surprised if SGA or Jokic win it instead.
As Mavs fan man I'm pissed at our organisation they are straight up wasting Lukas time man. Luka+Kyrie have been awesome unfortunately Kyrie has been hurt. At least we got Gafford and Pj so it's looking good. If Mavs can clinch the 5 seed Luka has a shot at MVP. Dallas should get direct qualification to the playoffs now tho. At least that's good
I'm a huge Luka fan, so thanks for the Luka love... but... my main takeaway from all this MVP talk is that right now... in 2024... we are being treated to an onslaught of all time talented ballers!!!! I LOVE watching Luka, but I LOVE watching SGA, Joker, Giannis, Joel, and many of the other elite players we currently have in the NBA. I'm 67 years old, so I'm pretty damn sure that from now till the day I die I'll be able to watch a buttload of the best basketball I could ever hope to see... Thanks to the NBA...
Talking about Luka and standings is just WILD. You touched on 1 game difference from 5th seed but there is something else people don’t consider. Before the trade deadline, there were only TWO teams in the ENTIRE LEAGUE with less than 5 players averaging double digit scoring. Those teams were Golden State (4 players) and Dallas (3 players) FURTHER, 1 of the 3 Dallas players (Kyrie) missed 50% of their games at that time. So Dallas consistently had 2 guys averaging 10+ a game Then you look at talent. With Kyrie missing so many games, who is Dallas 2nd option? It’s Hardaway Jr. outside of Kyrie and Luka, no Dallas player would start for a contending team. Period. And Luka has kept them in playoff contention. He has to average a 40 point triple double just for them to barely win without Kyries help.
Look at the BPM/VORP by yr and relate it to the mvp and then comeback to the conversation before yall cry about Luka or anyone else. Luka has been amazing others have been better. It’s a tough race. He’s only 24 tho he’ll win one soon
I like your list and reasoning for it. Jokic is my fav player and luka my 2nd fav so I’m happy with their play. Right now the mvp has to go to SGA, but my vote will go to Jokic because I don’t know if SGA can continue this historic pace, I know Jokic can. I anticipate the nuggets turning it up in the 2nd half to make a deep playoff run and thus Jokic solidying his 3rd MVP, but as of right now I have SGA at 1. If Luka can finish top 3-4 seed while keeping this historic numbers and great efficiency I’ll give him the nod lol. Tough 3 man race lol.
I agree with what you're saying might be behind these votes. After how the season ended, there was a lot of sentiment even among media who voted Jokic was robbed of MVP just to give Embid one and as a sort of "you need to win first before getting one". Well now he won so they're taking the opportunity to give him a make up MVP. And it's not like he doesn't have an argument.
I love this year's MVP race, super exciting. I love Luka but I would still give the mvp to Jokic, he is just too valuable, his numbers are amazing, he elevates Denver so much.
Giannis putting average 31/12/6 on 61%fg and his plus minus is +17.9pg (1st) while being one of the best defensive players 😂😂😂yall wild af with this Luka and Jokic nonsense 💯
I agree with a lot in this video. Unfortunately for luka all the top talented players are so close though, that he pretty much has to drag that roster to a 5 seed or he'll stay a distant 4th
Giannis is the mvp I’m getting annoyed people aren’t giving him his credit I’m sick of being a fan of the nba and I actually don’t think any of these awards even matter anymore
I could’ve sworn low at one point said something along the lines of “why do we have to continue too make mistakes based on wat was decided in the past” I love Luka he’s my fav player too watch but I’m not gonna give him the nod just cause Russ and Jokic got it when we all agree those were mistakes
@@jonathansykes4986 ok maybe mistake was too harsh but Jokic and Russ are the 2 names I hear most when it comes too them not being fully deserving of mvp. I think it has too do with them putting amazing numbers that were never before seen but then they did the same thing the season after and made it seem less valuable which makes fans feel like a 6th seed mvp isn’t as deserving I still love Luka and he should for sure be top 3 easily and as a talent he might be top 2 but I’m not budging off the record
@@jonathansykes4986 1. Luka’s also generating the most ppg ever lmao 2. Usage is such a petty thing to bring up, u know why his usage is high? probably cause his entire team was injured, his starting lineup up until last week quite literally didnt share 100 min on the floor together up until their 50+ game 3. U quoting “stat” as if its not LITERALLY a stat is insane lmao Luka’s also leading in WAY more stats than the just those 2 idk what ur on or looking at, including “advanced defensive stats🤓” as u would say 4. Advanced stats are an absolutley cooked stat to use for an injury riddled teams, Luka’s on and off’s, +/- , etc get nuked cause he has to BACKPACK his team and play the entire game, and i mean the ENTIRE game he will literally play 46 of 48 minutes, when ur playing with every possible lineup it skews ur impact
So im from South Africa and we don't really have basketball here and my question is , is it better to have your best player be a guard, wing or center?
@@prince-iu4bl because when your best player is center you have so much more advantages, look at jokic, he is the best player in the league, but if you saw him yesterday for the first time you would never tell that he is the best. Center can dominate both offense and defense, center can be massive presence in post ups and if they are treat from 3p line it's over, not much guards can play under the basket. Centers can be playmakers too and be the best passers in the team, pg can't be the best center just look at jokic and sabonis. Skilled centers are the most valuable players in basketball, they are unstopable, shaq, hakeem, duncan, jokic, embiid, kareem, wilt are all the most unstopable players ever. Guards, wings are sexy but centers are most valuable it opens up entire court esspecialy for wings who are 3p shooters. Denver without jokic and with some low skilled center would be 1st round exit but when you got one of the most skilled of all time that group of regular players lets be honest they are not superstars, they become champions
@@prince-iu4bl kobe wouldnt win 5 rings without shaq, spurs without duncan hell no, denver without jokic lol, pau gasol was very important for kobe too, mj without rodman, detroit without ben wallace, houston without hakeem would never won, so having a skilled and dominant center or power forward is the most important thing in basketball
Centers / Wings are historically the most dominant players across history, if u loook at most peoples top 10 all time list you’ll usually only find like 4 guards max
Luka obviously a great player, but people forget being on a bad team means you get more touches, and the less defense your team plays the more chances your team gets to score0. I'm not punishing the other players because what they are doing leads to wins.
I should of finished the video before I commented 😂😂 The reason there is no voter fatigue is because of last year many people feel like Jokic lost to voter fatigue and the stupid media takes like perk. And since Embiid is injured and can’t win it and Jokic is being Jokic it’s hard not to give it to him. But moral of the story is Luka better.
Shai is putting up prime MJ numbers on ridiculous efficiency and OKC is a top 3 team in the league. None of us expected it. Not sure how he wouldn’t be the front runner. Mitchell should get serious consideration, as well.
@@Nightcrawler90210 like who? Lol Luka is losing and no mvp is winning the award while being the 7 or 8 seed. Jokic is currently having a great season while also getting his meat massaged because he lost last year to embiid and people are feeling bad that we didn’t give him that one so we’re trying to give it to him out of pity. The only one I see an argument for is Shai
@@bpm000luka literally is on a 6 game win streak, just blew OKC out by 40, dropped 73, leading the NBA on scoring. Russell Westbrook legit won MVP as a 7th seed what are you on???
Westbrook was a 6 seed dumbass and had literally the most historic season to date because of how significant the triple double was at the time. They were also contemplating not giving him the award and it almost went to James harden with the higher seed
Should be Luka, he's carried the heaviest load, but they won't give it to him. Luka put up 2 games this season that rank in the top-20 all time for best gamescore. *Hopefully Luka will take Finals MVP instead.*
This is the thing people don’t understand. Take Jokic and SGA off of their teams and they still win ball games. Before the trade deadline, if you took Luka off of the Mavs we lost 8 times out of 10. That’s literally a MOST VALUABLE PLAYER. It’s not that hard to grasp.
Tbh I think people are voting Jokic cuz they feel he got snubbed last year. I would've voted Jokic last year and Embiid this year but now I'd probably go Luka. I really like Shai but his performance the other night vs Luka turned me off of him a bit. But also I may be biased cuz I'm a Mavs fan.
Jokic keeps his advanced stats domination for a 4th season in a row. No wonder he is #1 MVP candidat. SGA follow his steps. Luka is a great player but he is a stat padder same as Embid. Deffensive rebounds, assists while being #2 turnovers in a league, records in Atlanta. I don't know guys, maybe i have a weird look on "valuable to the team" meaning but if you need to put 73 to W in Atlanta, how much you will need in Conference Finals? 100ppg?
We all know Luka is the real MVP but because of the media, he is the most disrespected, hated, underrated superstar for the past 5 years. The same player that got outvoted by Booker for MVP, the same player that had to come off the bench in the all star game because he got 0 votes from the media and gave it to Morant instead for no reason. That same player is currently the 1st player in the history of basketball to average 34/8/8. Not enough? Scored the 4th most points of 73 in a basketball game on 91% TS, scores the most triple doubles, #1 in post defense, #10 in iso defense, career-high in SPG, APG PPG, 3PT%, FT%, just .4% under in FG%, and MPG, continues to put up MVP stat lines while injured, #1 in scoring alone, #1 in points produced by a MILLION MILES, 3rd in assists, top 20 in rebounding as a 6'7 POINT GUARD, 16-6 in clutch games, #1 clutch team in the NBA, #1 MOST DOUBLED PLAYER IN THE NBA, and ALL of this with the MOST INJURED ROSTER IN THE NBA, Irving out 22 games and lost all star status, Lively out for 18 games, and STILL lead the franchise to a winning record in the west as a playoff 6th seed and CLIMBING now that everyone is actually healthy. Luka is not only the best guard but the best player of the face of the NBA currently. Greatness and MVP caliber!!!
Dude nobody gives SGA his credit all y'all do is come to complain about Luka everywhere the Thunder have a top record lead by a 25 year old leading kids basically while also leading the league in steals. Luka plays no defense and is not a great off the ball player which makes him dominate the possessions which is not good for winning games unless he is just own fire and then it's nothing the opposition can do it's pretty much James Harden in Houston. And Harden didn't win until he had a good enough record.
Joker been the best player in the NBA for 5 years. The only reasons he doesn't have 5 MVPs is because Embiid got one during this time and Giannis snuck in there too. Me personally Luka been right there as top 3 every year tho
Seeding isn't a huge factor I agree but it does factor. The only reason lower seeds have won it in the past is because of their insane stats. When Russ won as the 7th seed he averaged 31/10/10 as a 6'3 guard. To this day no one is averaging that. It was historic. Tbh, toss the top 4 guys names in a hat and pick one, they all have a case. The only narrative I don't understand that's being pushed is Tatum. He shouldn't even be in the conversation with the other 4.
@@adolfolopez3575 Well by that logic then tatum should be ahead of jokic and giannis and tied with SGA... Also the mavs are 3-4 wins from having the bucks/nuggets record. And they've spent most the season without kyrie and a bad roster like come on context should matter. Thats clearly your mvp, if Jokic and westbrook got mvps on low seeded teams why cant luka?
@@astashasta1 well cuz Russ averaged a triple double first time since big O and Jokic was also having just a historic season what he was doing is a anomaly that no center has done before, and I do think Luka is having one of the best offensive seasons it’s also cuz like you said that mavs team is really talent deprived besides kyrie so he can just be the entire offense while okc has a bunch of talent, Chet, giddey, Jalen Williams, Lu Dort and some solid role players, and the stats are not to far off from each other and sga has his team in a better position which is why I would give it to sga over Luka sga is averaging 31-5-6 Luka is averaging 34-8-9 so only a 3 point, 3 rebound, and 2 assist difference while sga imo is the better defender averaging 1 more steal then Luka and a block a game, I can see the argument for Luka but I still have to give it to sga
