Why is NO ONE talking about this Milwaukee Packout setup ???

This is basically the tool box I inherited from the 1920s but on a dolly made of plastic. The industry knows a cabinet on the bottom makes it easier, and drawers in the middle are helpful. Why did it start off as a bunch of stacked tubs in the first place with some tackle boxes on top?

For one easy payment of 2000.00 we can take the place of a 5.99 tote. Not including the price of your dewalt tools. Legal.... your customer will only be impressed by your workmanship, and professionalism. All customers will not understand the ridiculous stacking mechanisms you show up with.

I feel like next year Milwaukee will come out with a rolling box with the front cabinet door. But they also need to make it in a way that the cabinet won’t get dirt and water inside while moving it through the job site

Don’t buy the packout dolly, just buy a harbor freight dolly and drill the packout bottom on to it. Abt 100 dollars that way compared to 300 for the Milwaukee one

Been doing that for about 10 years now. Thats the way the Dewalt boxes were originally sold with a Dewalt dolly that has adjustable arms enabling access to any box without removing the other boxes. Those dolly's are still available as are rack mounts for trucks vans and shops. Great Idea but its not new.

Never had the problem of pulling dewalt out of my packouts

This, even more than cost, is why I stuck with the Ridgid set. Undo the side latches and lift the whole stack off with the lid.

Awesome tips for tool optimization. Right now I'm running different configurations of backpacks, but the packout line is looking promising for the future. Loved the fact that you use different brands in unison, I've never understood the guys who have to have every tool from the same manufacturer.

That dolly is the only packout item I've ever returned. Somehow super heavy and difficult to open/close (you need two hands and another limb). I've instead built a simple plywood base, added casters, and put a packout mounting plate on top. Now I can just roll drawer units around. And that rolling xl box is nice, solid, fits a lot of stuff.

No, I’m not tired of taking the extra 10 seconds and pulling my boxes off of my Klein mod box, base box. What I am tired of is everybody, pretending that Milwaukee has a incredible system, but instead of creating a case like you just exampled And making it work with the Milwaukee system, Milwaukee makes them go buy a dolly and reinvent the system. Why isn’t Milwaukee just a better system and upgrading their system to these types of add-ons. I have a Klein mod. Box and I can take off all of the top boxes without collapsing the handle or removing the handle. Not to mention that box on the wall as you so well demonstrated doesn’t hold very much when you’re opening it from a front door. My Klein mod box has the largest box of the competition. I could stack a ton of stuff in there and do it very organized unlike your example of two saws and anything else that would be put in there would be falling out on the floor as soon as you opened the door. My base box is for items that I rarely use and I do not mind the very short amount of time that it takes to remove the top boxes.

Prefer the chest and one more on top. But I'm a painter. So my setup is simple. Keep all my tools in the bottom. All my drop cloths, tape and brushes/rollers top chest. Then the vacuum on top.

I’m sorry but I just don’t see the point in lugging all that stuff out of the van and into a house to work. The wheels get dirty and track mud in the house or what about in a basement hauling it up and down stairs. I’m sure they have there place but I’m not into it.

They realesed a wheeled drawer box this year, that is the true solution. Also a bigger problem is those dewalt tools in the milwaukee boxes, the makita gets a slight pass.

Cause im not purchasing 10 different boxes at 300$+ a pop when i can purchase a tool box although bigger and heavier for cheaper. Honestly its about cost of upgrading. Give it time.

From Day 1, was looking at this the moment the dolly came out until I saw it in person and saw that the dolly was too cheaply made to justify $499. Plastic would break in no time.

The problem with using the dolly is storing the dolly when you are not using it. I don't want to leave it in the back of my puck up bed. It will be easy for someone to take, and it will be exposed to the elements. I can easily load all of my stack into the cab of my truck, in the back seat area and it is secured as well as out of the elements.
