The fact that for the world's richest people, paying tax is an option is disgusting. We all know that if we didn't pay £10 that we owed, we'd have HMRC breathing down our necks. But for these people, it's a charitable contribution, if they feel in the mood. The whole system needs tearing down.
The HMRC system has Infosys dodgy tech in it. Have you checked their calculations? You know about the deeply flawed Post Office Horizon system? Fujitsu and Infosys!
When you look back at history you’ll understand this is how it’s always been. All the wars have been the poor dying to protect the rich. The elite as some of us call them have been behind every major war, slavery, all of these things were used to their benefit to enrich themselves and their descendant, at the detriment of the average man. It’s a real shame to this happening to what was once such a prosperous nation
The fact that Sunak apparently 'earns' £30 million quid as 'passive income' from his assets, should tip even the most reactionary among us that there is a two-tier system of justice in Britain.
Now a two tier NHS with golden ticket visa doctors and consultants STRIKING to encourage people to QUEUE JUMP to support the medics, private employment, courtesy of what is , the UK taxpayers NHS!
The ruling class make the rules. It’s rigged to keep the working class take home half their wages and be grateful to bend their knees to the upper class parasites
@@janicebirch7522 . Be careful not to fall into the right-wing trap of blaming NHS workers for the faults of successive governments for outsourcing more and more services, as a way of gradually carving off profitable parts to the private sector. If there had been a positive political will to train the next generation of staff, instead of relying on private recruiting agencies, and contract staff. When you don't pay staff a decent living wage, don't expect them to choose the profession as a poorly-remunerated 'vocation'. The same is true of education. If you don't have trained staff available domestically, you have two choices: 1. Cut services(especially the less profitable sectors such as mental health and senior care), or 2. Encourage staff who are already trained to immigrate and fill those positions. In an aging population, and as many face approaching infirmity, dementia or serious health issues, concepts such as 'racial purity' may be a luxury you can't afford, Janice. lol
And let’s add to this, shall we? Rishi Sunak’s own company, Theleme, is the largest shareholder in Moderna. Two months after Sunak became PM, Moderna got a 10 year contract in the U.K.! And then there is his wife’s shares in a certain recruitment company for carers which benefited significantly in the tax breaks Sunak laid out in one of his budgets! Nothing illegal, of course, because he creates the rules!!🤬🤬🤬 And now they want access to everyone’s bank account who are on benefits (so that includes all pensioners!) in case they have managed to earn a couple of pounds a month more than declared!! 🤬🤬🤬
I am a pensioner, and have been " randomly selected" the first I knew of it my housing benefit stopped. Thanks HACKNEY COUNCIL. Asupposed labour Borough.
I think that Carol Vorderman summed it all up at 3.20 when she said 'they set the rules'. That's the whole situation in Britain in a nutshell 'they set the rules' and the rest of get robbed royally.
That's the history of governance in this country tbh. Sheer Capitalism without constraint and the masses have repeatedly been told this is the 'only way' which, of course, it is not but everyone accepts it. You can moan all you like but Labour, Lib Dems, Reform, Heritage, Cons - none will attempt to reform this particular business model bc they all profit from it. It's simply we're seeing Sunak make so much from our system bc he's investing like none who came before bc his wife's family it so wealthy which gives them so much more capital to invest in all the pies
His wife's family also made a 1.5 billion deal with BP. Why do we still allow them to do this and get away with it. We are struggling to survive whilst they are making huge deals.
Indeed. A quick deal with BP right as at the same time Israel invades Gaza which has natural resources off the coast which BP have been trying to get their claws into since Shell announced in the trades it was selling its equity in the off shore station. Interesting that India have secured a visa deal with Israel for workers. Filthy, grubby lot - control freakery this year is off the charts
The sheer scale of corruption and greed, and the way the British people are taking it lying down, has exhausted me. I used to be angry, but now it seems so huge....
I know exactly how you feel, Bev. I think the problem is that the mainstream media constantly lie or withhold information and many people don't seem to realise that the old news ethics are gone. Mind you, the polls show that there's a huge shift towards getting rid of the tories. I just hope we get a general election sooner rather than later before those monsters completely drain us of everything and cause even more misery and poverty.
We could stop it and give them a "Great Reset' that dismantles the corrupt debt based central banking system and the IMF WB BIS etc. To introduce a system of true democracy and stop fighting bankers wars would be a start or we can just sit back until we "Own nothing and are happy" and our history is totally changed in 3 generations. Did you think 1984 was fiction?
@gail9299 Except it's not true and the fact that your only argument is baseless and a means of deflection shows that no matter how bad it gets for us, you'll still find a way to say it's Labour's fault. Find another argument.
BS. I'm a historical Labour voter (no longer voting Labour) but Sunak isn't doing anything illegal. He's simply making the most out of our archaic business model which allows the wealthy to profit without constraint
Government procurement in the US requires disclosure and prohibits bidding by connected persons. The UK apparently doesn’t. I was told repeatedly that the UK was superior in all ways by my British friends but sounds like they can’t even get basic procurement rules in place. Must be an absolute free for all. No wonder so much Covid money got spent and went missing. Oh well. Least you have that excellent NHS that needed everyone to lockdown in order to save it.
@@HitchcockTheSnailHard to do something illegal when you make the rules. In fact it's worse, if you have control of the rules and choose not to tighten them up that makes you more responsible because you had a duty to clean up the system and chose to exploit it instead.
What is happening to the country we love ... This greed of those at the top who consider themselves on par with the “Untouchable”s” is disgusting .... When will our elected government and judicial system stand up for the people they serve 🤔🤯
This is exactly how politicians and their backer make their fortune. The govt transfer £Billions of YOUR tax money into THEIR preferred 'industries' which THEY are 'invested' in. They earn a fortune and YOU are handed the £bill for the money THEY borrowed to give away...
It's been like this for 100s of years. Just bc we're now aware of it like never before due to our technological advancements, nothing will change bc those that lord over us don't want it to
Honestly, this country needs to go bankrupt so that we default on the loans successive govts have taken out over 100s of years to pay for war after war. Look at the economic structure of say, Waterloo... why did they have to borrow from German central bankers? Why did it take us until 2015 to pay back the loans govt borrowed to pay back wealthy plantation owners when slavery was abolished? Why are we being taxed to the hilt to pay off the interest on these loans. They're not even British banks but brought in under the House of Hanover when European royalty took over Britain relatively recently in the 18th C. Everyone needs to get to the heart of the matter and understand the financial problem rotten in our system of governance and first that@@stereotypicalgamer9472
Rishi and his misses donated millions to an American university for new computers when a school in his constituency had to raise funds for just one. I get the tax benefits from donating and all that but jeez, they’re literally have nothing to do with the general member of public or the working class at all
It’s little wonder that our public services, health services, and armed forces are short, the tax evasion of the already super rich is hurting the country,
This corrupt government are a prime example of why many people do not trust politicians, just look at the the previous two prime muppets, bo jo should be serving time at HMP SERVICE, for corruption and has, since his forced exit, has raked in over £6millions.
Sunak saw the many doors that would open up to him and his Mrs as Chancellor and PM. That's why he has no interest in this country. He is too busy inside trading for himself. His tax dodging wife and his father-in-law. Then he will swan off back to the States with this country's money. Look at the money he has dished out too and written off. What about his hedge fund into Moderna too?. Not forgetting his role in the banks collapsing that brought austerity for us.
Nothing he has done is illegal. Nothing he has done hasn''t been done before by the uber wealthy in this country. We have a German monarchy that have been doing this since the The House of Hanover first got their claws in this country back in 1714.
It's like some sort of sick competition between the wealthiest of the World, competing to be the Most Infamous, Most Corrupt, Most Depraved, Most Evil, Criminals of All Time. Donald Trump is a lightweight in comparison but I have no doubt, if he becomes the President again, he will have another run at the title
A few years ago the inland revenue chased me for £34 even though I had paid my tax bill. I was threatened with penalty payments if it wasn't settled. After several phone calls and emails from my accountant saying and proving I had settled this at the initial tax bill stage and it was their fault and no one else's. They dropped the charge with no apology whatsoever! I am an average working class bloke just trying to earn a wage to look after my family etc. Yet mult million and billionaires seem to get away with FORTUNES all the time. Politicians like Sunak need to be investigated into where their loyalties actually are?!
It's always been like this SMH Our political model was set up for our 'betters' to make laws to benefit themselves. We may have a better standard of living but it's distinctively archaic here in Blighty. Christ, we still have a monarchy who siphons off the cream.
What you say is absolutely true, he is the worst, he showed the way for many who followed, to myself having been a Tory member in my past, it was what happened in the aftermath of the of the Bankers crash in 2008, that made me leave that infestation of greed and gluttony, If it was not for Gordon Brown this Country would have gone Tonto then for sure, he was a True Politician he was excellent in that Crisis, he made me look at him very differently, he was Better than Blair. as for Sunak, he will not change his spots, he is greedy he will always be a CHANCER the Pandemic will prove this for sure. At Least Starmer and Reeves are of different minds to Sunak and will be for ALL of the UK. General Election now! at 87 I cannot wait!
He continues to bring the country and its people to their knees. Perhaps that what he wants. Prices for food are escalating, our roads are the worst they have been for decades, motorists are being taxed upon tax. Road tax is now car tax, which we pay every time a car is bought, both new or second hand, so where does this money go, what is it used for????
The Joseph Rowntree Foundation CEO commented on the latest findings on poverty in UK, "It has been almost twenty years and six Prime Ministers since the last prolonged period of falling poverty in the UK. Instead, over the last two decades, we have seen poverty deepen, with more and more families falling further and further below the poverty line” . The charity’s report says 14.4 million people, including 4.2 million children, were in poverty in 2021-22, with an increasing number unable to afford food or pay their energy bills. This is up from a total of 13.4 million people - including 3.9 million children - the year before. (RT)
@@anneaylmer1655 We haven't paid "road tax" for over ninety years. Funding for road repairs comes from your local council who, you may have noticed, are starved of cash by central government and are going bust when they indulge in practices like playing the stock market to raise money.
It's not though. He's simply making money in the British system which has been rigged in favour of the wealthy for 100s of years. He is not doing anything illegal SMH
Sunak didn't make the decision, and Infosys are a big company, maybe they are the best company for the contract. I am sure Sunak owns Microsoft and Google shares, does it mean the British government stops using these companies.
If I went on any kind of state benefits I would have to declare to DWP my partners income and savings which will of course be interpreted that I have full access to. Sunnak would support this heavily policed law as it applies to the peasantry but of course his families income and assets are nobody's business. The hypocrisy is astounding.
It’s incredible how the PM or any MP do not have to declare their spouses financial interests. A massive deliberate and immoral loophole. It’s despicable
There is no end to this gravy train. INFOSYS also supplies surveillance tech to Israeli government which was being used on Palestinians way before Gaza. Her shareholding in this brings in her main source of income which was estimated last year to be approximately now £13.5m Every single aspect of this is abhorrent. And these people hold themselves up as looking after our best interests?? 🙄
Wait until the NHS is privatised. The NHS trusts around the country are paying for software replacements now, using tax payers money, so when everything is privatised the corporations don't have to pay to upgrade the software. Two examples are PALS and MyCare.
My Old Mum worked all her life from the age of 15, the last 17 years in a care home looking after other people. She had a small bank account on which she got very little interest, but they still stopped her 21p in tax and even sent her a letter stating the fact. Makes you want to bl**dy spit.
Ritchy W.E.F. is a clever investor, he somehow knew ahead of time that he was going to invest his own & mucho uk tax payer money into modeRNA, long before they’d ever even got a product to market. howzatt for a bit of prescience !!!
He knows he's toast at the next GE, so has started rinsing the rulebook for all he can get. Just ride out the storm until then. Look at David Cameron. Everyone's forgotten about Greensill now.
Why do Tory Millionaires go into politics? 02:min :42 secs “Her Indoors” had been declaring this “non-dom status” thing for Fourteen Years before it was discovered ;saving herself approx Twenty Million quid!-that’s Tax Money that could’ve been used for National infrastructure,Armed Forces,Police etc -so she’s enjoyed all the benefits of these at a discount! That’s just One Person .if you’re seriously rich in the U.K. you live in a different world -you can afford an accountant to funnel your money into (legal) tax avoidance schemes ,send your kids to a school with Charity Status (Eton) ➔Oxford where they make friends who reciprocate favours when your they grow up and enter politics or business ….it’s a self perpetuating financial apartheid that means the tax burden will evermore disproportionately fall on those with least disposable income .
Let’s not forget the oil and gas contracts he handed out which had a link to infosys. Of which they had no obligation to sell the oil and gas to the UK. Corrupt to the core.
We had no say in being furloughed, remember? No choice and the knowledge we would get higher taxes and the blame for it all. When things opened up though, people were more than happy for the retained staff to be there straight away, so they could to go into all the shops and get their haircuts and pints.
Infosys has been awarded a 1.5 billion 15 year deal with BP. BP was awarded a license for Gas field in sea off coast of Gaza requiring Israel to remain the occupier! Sunak’s bias towards Israel explained! 💵
Not to mention that Infosys' second-largest global investment (after a Swiss holding structure) is Panaya, an Israeli tech firm it acquired in 2015 at a cost of $200m. This has been followed by a further number of smaller start-ups also in the tech sector. In addition, Infosys has, since 2012, a memorandum of understanding with the state of Israel to "establish and enhance cooperation in industrial research development." Along with the offshore Gaza O&G wheeze, all this makes Infosys' flirtations with Moscow seem decidedly pedestrian.
@@janewright2800 No, just the Palestinians who support them, which is all of them. Go ahead. Ask a Palestinian if they think Palestine should be “from the river to the sea”. Listen to their answer. Because that answer means they support the destruction of Israel and Hamas.
If I was making any claim on benefit, I have to, by law, had to declare my wife, any bank or savings accounts that we JOINTLY hold. Amazing how these thieves get away with this without any punishment once they’ve been found out. DISGUSTING!!!
Infosys shares are not held "Jointly". Even his own investments are not controlled or operated by him - but by an asset management company that invests on his behalf! The despicable attempt to ROB Rishi Sunak' wife out of her money is plain for all to see. Apparently brown people being wealthy is especially injurious to the Tory Voters health!
And on top of that HMRC know exactly what savings and income us ordinary citizens have, including the so called offshore accounts that many tax dodging politicians have, including teflon tony's wife except, surprise, they seem to be exempt.
I work at a University in the UK and every year I have to complete a conflict of interest form on which I have to declare any potential conflicts due to my own outside business interests and those of my immediate family, any external business partners I may have, etc. If I don't complete this then I risk becoming ineligible for research grants funded by the UK tax payer. Which is entirely correct. Maybe next year when the form comes around I can appeal to the Sunak Doctrine and send it back blank?
Politicians always get ‘PAID’ for their ‘SERVICES’ when they leave office with ‘NICE’ jobs etc. Inside Info works too Nancy Pelosi has been suggested in this respect
Corruption at its best, I personally think that politicians & any member of their family shouldn't have any involvement in a company, politics needs a shake up and made the buggers work for minimum wage, then you'll find out how many of them actually want to do the job.
Sunak is just as bent as Bojo was. He does things in a different way. He should be declaring an interest. In these companies and be prepared to publish his family income and tax payments.
The important issue is how did Sunak become the British Priminister, his history with his family Tax issues & then giving a huge amount of money to an American College & obviously keeping his green card should have all told the Conservative party that chose him where his loyalties lay.Obviously that also tells the British people what contempt the Conservatives have for them from Truss to Sunak, it really is obscene
The Tory Grandees appointed Sunak to the post of PM because he has clout in the financial world. After the disaster that was Liz Truss, this country had to prove that we still had some financial credibility.
Sunak performed a coup, that's how he ended up PM ! Nobody wanted him ! HE'S UNELECTED ! And under any previous generation he would have been dragged out of number 10 by the scruff of his neck & dumped on the street outside, if he'd managed to get into it in the first place ! But the Brits of today are spineless, probably due to law watching, & desperately trying to stay ahead of the tyrannical governments latest law changes, & therefore out of prison !
If as PM or cabinet minsters somehow your family have part ownership in a company, that company should not be eligible to bid on public contracts. The opportunity for corruption is too high and it makes no sense why that is legal.
It makes perfect sense why that can happen and is quite understandable when you know what Neoliberalism is 👍 find it strange people still call it corruption even now... and even the seemingly most politically knowledgeable still refer to it as Thatcherism, playing the game... As if it's an isolated thing that only her followed... of course they want you to believe it was all the doing of one person and it's no longer a thing... Their doing it again... of course it's all Sunaks fault and noone after him will do it will they 😵💫 understand what Neoliberalism is and how the majority now believe state power should be dissolved in favour of huge business
Infosys, co-directed by Uri Levine, formerly of Israeli Military Intelligence Unit 8200. Infosys founder, N. R. Narayana Murthy, is Rishi Sunak’s father-in-law.
Sunak traded new N/Sea licences for an Infosys £1.5 billion. He gave untendered contracts of £6.5 billion to Infosys associate Fujitsu- then under criminal investigation. Now he just short-circuits the whole system and puts his family business on the untendered contracts list
You shouldn't be allowed to be in government if you're already as rich as he is as why would a millionaire want a job that pays in his terms a pittance unless of course it's to push through things that benefit you.
How much money do these people need. Why don’t they pay people working for them decent wages. Why do they consistently hire lawyers to look for so called legal loopholes to avoid paying taxes. It’s not the politics of envy. It’s about working for a more equable society. The money these people have is obscene, they really ought to be embarrassed.
It used to be the other way round - you made your money and then went into politics and philanthropy to 'give back'. Now, even the philanthropy tends to be self interest (e.g. Soros).
We’re taxed very heavily in the UK. If the wealthy didn’t avoid tax - legally or otherwise - we wouldn’t all have pay what we do! Seems to be open season on the working peasantry!
I heard he's got something going on back home in India that he wants sorted no doubt he'll benefit financially from it maybe it can be pushed through easier while he's still PM back here....
"In this country", it's not that much different in countries like the US, France, the Netherlands, Italy or Germany. It seems like a disease that befalls western democracies worldwide. Globalisation is killing democracy everywhere.
He already changed a childminders law to suit his wifes business. She made millions the day after he changed it. Could this be their last cash grab before he is kicked out.
And he and blunder truss stated they want to destroy workers rights, considering he and his wife's wealth, I think there is only one logical reason why he got involved in politics and that was to rake in more money
@@jameshunter7181 Cameron said all that as well. They have been wanting to do that all the way down the line. Cameron said he wanted bosses to be able to just sack people. Lovely if your boss was just having a bad day! So no change with them.
Does rishi have offshore accounts which are not declared should all offshore accounts be taxed and the City Of London be made to declare all uk citizens accounts to be Taxed when the account holders take advantage of services paid for by the UK taxpayer?
99% of muslins are corrupt or in this country for what they can get out of it. And that has gone on from the 1960s. no wonder the government say there is no money for NHS, ARMY, POLICE and other things. The way a government should work is we pay taxes and the government use it for this country. We are now in a situation that politicians spend the taxes on anything but, and use wars and any other disaster to excuse why we are in so much debt.
Hes giving Tata steel 5 hundred million to shut our last significant steel works in the uk too, forcing us to buy huge amounts of steel from India. He's a Kent.
