It's because no country want to spend that amount of money to build a bridge that no one has asked for.

Real question is : Why would there be a bridge in the first place? What good would that bridge brings to Europe besides turning it into a 3rd world continent, rise crime rate, homelessness, poverty, robbery, unsafety etc...

Pretty sure the reason is both "Too Deep" and "The Europeans don't want africans to directly connect with them". But i would say the main reason is too deep. Me myself as someone who is NOT an engineer acknowledge how deep 900m was. It's basically 0.6 miles. 0.6 MILES! And almost a kilometer! Do you NOT KNOW How deep this was? A bridge project in my country SURAMADU Connecting Java and Madura is going through Madura channel, which is just 80 meters deep, but it took years and fortune out of us! And building something 11× more deep than that? Yeah it would just be Too Costly and not that worth it to do

Having no bridge or tunnel between Spain 🇪🇸 and Morocco 🇲🇦 doesn't stop Africans migrating to Europe as thousands cross the straits of Gibraltar every year illegally. Some stay in Spain but most disperse throughout Europe.
