Does your vacuum feel broken? Is there no suction on your Hoover vacuum? Before you buy anything, I bet this FREE solution will solve your problems. Don't throw out your vacuum without trying this first! You don't need to buy expensive vacuum filters to get your suction back. I'll explain how to get your vacuum back up and running. I made this video to help others fix their own vacuums. I thought buying new filters was going to fix my suction problem, but it didn't. I wish I had known this vacuum fix in my video before I had purchased filters. Easy fix. Free fix.

Thank you!!!! I followed your instructions, but my hose was clean. This lead me to check the hole underneath the vacuum near the roller brush. It was completely clogged. Once I cleaned it out my suction was just like new. Thanks again.

After 10 years my same model Hoover had exact same problem except that it would shut off mysteriously. This was due to a thermocouple protection circuit that had never engaged before. RU-vid was no help but like you, I eventually removed the bottom plate and found the hole behind the brush roller full of dog hair etc. It is amazing that it took years to finally block itself up. Love the design on this vacuum, sadly the retractable cord is long gone and so we just use a 25 foot vac cord that we just hang off the handle.

@@ericyoung772 I had that exact same model that had a wonky auto-rewind mechanism. One RU-vid commenter on another video said to pull the cord all the way out until you see the yellow band around it(don’t go out to the red band!), then push the rewind button. If it does not rewind, alternate between pushing the cord in and pulling it out, until it finally starts rewinding on it’s own. But don’t just let the cord whip back in unsupervised. Instead, control the rewinding process with the cord in between two fingers. Uncontrolled rewinding and pulling the cord out too far ruins rewind mechanisms!

Thank you so much! My warranty was literally expiring tomorrow. I unscrewed the hose clamp and took the hose to the garbage can, used the handle of a cleaner to work inside the hose and unclogged bunches of pine needles and wood chips. It works perfectly now!

Thank you so much I had the same situation and I found your video in RU-vid.. when I opened that pipe I found few big moths, leaves from indoor garden and the real thing.. 1 whole kitchen towel🤪 After removing those now it’s back to work again

THANK YOU!!! I have a different kind of upright - no hose like you have - but seeing you unscrew those covers gave me the incentive and then the courage to unscrew some things on my Kenmore Progressive Glide upright bag vacuum. Lo and behold there was easy access to the blockage and there was a lot of it. I watched some other videos but yours was the winner. Haven't tried it yet but I know it will no longer be spitting out dirt and dust from the bottom.

Just a little FYI, I have the same vacuum and you do not have to take that stuff apart on the bottom to get that hose off. Just turn the hose to disengage it and it will slide right out of there

Thanks for sharing this. I was lucky, my vacuum was easier to disassemble, and the clog, one of my cat’s toys, was right at the end of the hose. I would never have guessed that I could do this, very grateful for your video.

You’re welcome!! I wish I could tell you this was the last time we declogged our vacuum but it seems like we’re declogging one (of our three vacuums) every other week. If you have kids in the house who vacuum, the size of what they’re vacuuming up doesn’t matter to them. They think if they suck up a large piece of paper they just saved themself the time of bending down to pick it up and walking it to the trash can. But WE, the vacuum decloggers, know where it really goes. Haha. I have now taught my teenaged boys how to declog our vacuums so anytime the suction is lost I tell them to unclog it. Im hoping that will deter them from sucking up large things in the future that could potentially clog the vacuum. Glad your vacuum is up and running again!!!

I unplugged another vacuum and it was full of Halloween candy wrappers. I'm sure my kids were thinking sucking them up with the vacuum was going to be a lot more efficient than picking them up by hand! Ha! Glad you got your vacuum fixed.

My kids do the same thing when vacuuming. Sucking it up in the vacuum gets rid of their problem. But creates a new problem for us who have to declog that vacuum! Haha. Glad you’re up and running again 👍🏻👍🏻

After thoroughly cleaning the canister and all the filters I still had little or NO suction. I removed the hose as instructed. (simple task) and took the hose outside and slid a broom handle down the hose. Ooooops stuck. next move got a needle nose pliers and started unplugging it. Vacuum runs like new. Thank You.

These Windtunnel uprights are great vacuum cleaners whether it's a bagged or bagless version! If maintained routinely these last a long long time. Well made machines. Great video on how to service this T-Series model. You're also cute to watch btw 😉👍

Glad you’re up and running again. It’s amazing how much can get clogged behind what has initially clogged the tube. What’s great is this fix is really simple to do whenever you notice your vacuum isn’t picking up stuff like it used to.

Thanks for great video. Just so you know - the top blue filter can be washed and cleaned and reused... you don't need to discard it. Think because the bottom filter is made of paper you will need to vacuum it, or toss it.

Good job unclogging your vacuum cleaner. I repair vacuum cleaners all the time, high end fancy vacs and low end budget vacs. unfortunately I have found way too Manny vacuum cleaners on the curb for garbage day and they are only clogged. weather you pay $50 or $1,500 a vacuum cleaner should last you at the very least 10 years if you take care of it.

Super helpful to know! I’ve had a vacuum that stopped working 3 months after I bought it. Prior to these vacuums (I LOVE this vacuum), I used to throw away my vacuums that stopped working too! It wasn’t until I was sad that it wasn’t working anymore that I started trying to figure out how to get it working again.

The bagless vacuums clog too easily, that’s why I Only buy the Bagged versions of the Windtunnels and they Never clogged up at all.

Just take the hose outside flush with water! If you get a direct suction, a vacuum would have this problem, lol

Had to get this video done quick. Haha! I was slightly annoyed I had to pause our cleaning Saturday because our vacuum was so plugged nothing was being sucked up. Lol. I made a less bossy (I think?) video of a full vacuum clean out (of this same vacuum) when I had my teenaged boys help me clean it out. Let me know what you think about my bossiness level on that video. 😂 I’ve taught them how to clean the vacuum tube out too so every time it’s clogged now I have one of them do it. 👊🏻🎉
