Liam Cahill lmao I've had that happen to me as well. Not this video but I like watching scary/creepy videos usually late at night,I guess I'm a glutton for punishment. My cat will brush up against me or make a faint noise and I jump out of my skin
Liam Cahill lol started watching this while I was brushing my teeth in my bathroom and one of my dogs pushed the door open and I almost had a heart attack
I rewatched this series while cuddling with my sick dog a few years ago, he has since passed away but every time I rewatch this I feel like he's with me. Even if this is unrelated, thanks Mark for creating a space where I feel like I can be with him again for a short time.
@@showie6966 Exactly!! I mean, I was a completely different person back when I first discovered it compared to now so I suppose it does hold a certain level of nostalgia
@@Thatonerandomguy1331 I care. Now unoriginality is unacceptable especially in the comments boi. Also, don't try to swear to act like you're the smart one, because you ain't boi
For those who have health conditions, Mental heal concerns, or just really hate jump scares, I've made a list. 3:26 - Loud noise 3:56 - Weird low noise 4:15 - Phone rings loudly 8:15 - Vase breaks + Spooky music 9:50 - Door knocking 12:17 - Music change 13:37 - Tattletail is laughing 15:27 - Flashlight goes out From here until 17:05 it's scary because Mama's looking for you (main character)
You guys are so welcome (*´∇`*) I love horror but I have heart problems so I need to be warned. I probably spent about and hour stopping and pausing so I didn't get hurt
I really like the title "Tattletail." It tells you the whole core mechanic of the game in one punny word, and I feel like it goes unnoticed/unappreciated. In case you've never noticed: the game's called "tattletail" because you spend the bulk of the game caring for this furby bootleg... and if you don't keep it happy, it'll complain loudly and give your location away to its scary, angry mama. It's not just a cutesy name, it literally tattles on you.
*Task: open you're christmas present early* "i don't wanna do that!" "i wanna be a good boy" "i wanna be a good boy" "oh boy.., i am not a good boy, am i..?"
Five years already, damn. It doesn't even feel that long, but this video still being as entertaining as it is even now just goes to show how good of an entertainer Mark is! Thanks for all the memories Mark!
i just remembered he played this game when i watched a mega compilation of markiplier and lilian stuff, and the animated version of this showed up! i remember watching this 7 years ago when i was around 10, and i had nightmares from this 🥲
Yeah. So many horror games rely on jumpscares, which is really uninspired. Some games do jumpscares well, like FNAF. But I prefer horror games with no jumpscares. For example, Knock Knock. That's a really good one in my opinion,
@@BoldActionSkitty I personally dislike replying because of social anxiety, but, if you like games with no jumpscares, I recommend Project Kat: Paper Lily Prologue! It’s really good. (There’s also always Deltarune’s Chapter 2 Snowgrave route, and Undertale’s Genocide route, but I don’t think it really counts as both aren’t horror games)
Derpy Insomniac omg my furby did that so me and my best friend smashed it with a hammer and threw it out and it was still talking for a week after that, i sware they are all possessed
I came bc i saw furbys on RU-vid and I remember this horror game and I watched this video when it came out and since then I have never watched it ever again till this point
furbies were made in 1998 so this is about furbies turning, also in the early 1998 commercials for furby the furby would always giggle like tattletail and say me love you so coincidence I think not.
It’s probably inspired by how if you take the batteries out of turbines they still talked, scared the hell out of my friends older brother when he was a kid
Task: Don't answer phone Mark: **answers phone** Let's give Mark an award for listening. Because Mark is the best listener. He just listens so well, best listener. Round of applause. 😂
A fact: Tattle tail was once a toy that was sold in 1991 but stopped selling in 1993 because of people saying that at night they are at one place and morning another place. People also say that they have been woken up by their tattletails and have to take care of them for the entire night! Tattletails is also furby but in the 90s
I have rewatched this series a lot of times, it is even better now that christmas is close. I love this game, not as much as other games but i still think it's great.
15:44 Mama: Come to mama. Mark: NO THANK YOU! Mark: I DON'T WANT ANY! Mark: MAMA CAN GO FUCK OFF, I GOT A MAMA, HE'S A BETTER MAMA THAN YOU WILL EVER BE! " *He's* a better mama than you would ever be" Makes sense.
Mama Mama go to sleep Mama Mama please count sheep Mama Mama, I'm outta bed Hearing noises in my head. Christmas in a few days, It's dark and scary, I'll waste away. Mama Mama, go away. Mama Mama, I don't want to play. Mama's scary, Mama's mean. Gotta hide, can't be seen. Mama's waiting, in the dark. Be quiet, her ears are sharp. Mama Mama go away, No more Mama, now say yay! Mama's gone, no more haste. It's Christmas morning, now we're safe.
I have a theory: what if this game is just a paranoid child's imagination? Why I think this is that things move all the time, and everybody knows that furbies are creepy. So, what if, praytell, this kid was also scared of furbies and a tattletail, along with Mama, could be based off furbies. The child could also be in an abusive mother-son/daughter relationship, so Mama could be their visualization of their own mother. The two things that they're scared of the most: their mother and a furby, combined. This is also where the paranoia sets in. They're in constant fear of their mother, so they become paranoid that their mom is always after them. That's just a theory. A ga- no. I'm not doing that.
Yasss I have never seen or heard of this game and I finally figured it out and am about to watch it but I don't like horror game that you move in lol and its not that it's that I don't know anything about the game and I'm trying to watch it at 4 in the morning at this point Im just looking through comments bc I don't wanna watch it
So fun furby story me and my sister got one when I was like ten and she was eight. My sister begged for one and we got one on Christmas. That mother fricker stayed in my closet for at least another year. Because I’m pretty sure my house was haunted and the furby just constantly went off....
Mark: Dont answer the phone? (answers phone) Guy on other side: (thinking) *SHIT I DIDNT THINk THEY'D PICK UP* (speaking) "garbled noises" Mark: (look of horror)
I’ve managed to sit through hours and hours of Fnaf videos (when it first came out and was REALLY popular) and not be scared anymore (or not at all) but when it comes to the Tattletale series something is very unsettling and very scary about it and I just don’t understand it.
