This is a great tip to get me through a quick edit, but, you know, what if I need the audio?

1:55 wow I'm really 12 years into using Premiere and this is the first time I'm hearing that you can Shift + Option/Alt + Click Drag to select only the audio. thank you for this revelation

Dude, seriously… you’re a very underrated channel. I’ve watched a handful of your videos and they’ve all been top notch and to the point. If you have the time, keep the videos coming!

great advice ... one thing that actual helped me along with this was SSD drives .... I'm a new editor, but of course I start with Multi cam. For some reason ( probably technically obvious ) ... multi cam seams to bog down and confuse premier pro ... But making sure to have the fastest SSD drive definitely helps elevate some of the bog down issues ... Thank you Robert

The way Premiere handles MC sequences is that it is constantly referencing all of the streams (cameras) you put into that sequence so if you have a slower drive, the time it takes to reference the files will increase. A quick SSD will definitely help this process. Another helpful tool is to duplicate your sequence when you are done with the edit, flatten the cameras and then export so the sequence is only referencing the appropriate files.

I had always thought this was the amount of data I was using. I had no idea the audio is what was causing this issue. I will make sure to use this if I do get stuck. Have yet to do mulitcam editing. Trying it on my next edit

wow THANK YOU! I've been searching all over for the solution to this! Never understood why sometimes it worked flawlessly and sometimes it took ages on every clip. Thank you!
